THIS WOULD WAKE ONE UP IN THE MORNING!!

Special permission was granted for a "low level demonstration flight" for this Navy F/A-18F Super Hornet, last weekend, as part of the opening ceremony for speed boat races on the Detroit river.

Personally, I think it would be awesome, as apparently this lone person on one balcony does. Face it...it is not a site one sees every day!

I HAVE THE DUMB TODAY.....

So much garbage running through my head I just don't know what to write about today...so I'm taking a break of sorts.

Thinking about what to prepare for dinner tomorrow...and the possibilities appear to be endless. there is the Palin canned special - as seen here.

I'm not sure what food group this falls into...but if we don't like it - the dog will!

I'm sure everyone has wondered what this little can of goodies might taste like...but it definitely won't be me to pass the info on.
For years, and I mean years...my father had a can of diamondback rattlesnake meat in our pantry. Every time I would clean the shelves and run across this delicacy, I begged the parents to let me throw it away. Oh nooooooo... dad was going to try it one day. I do believe it was still hiding in the pantry when I moved out of their house. But I remember Graham Kerr - the Galloping Gourmet preparing a dish using the exact can of snake meat. If anyone remembers Kerr, he made no bones about showing disgust if the meal he prepared was gross - this was the reaction I remember.
**********************

I have been watching the Sotomayor hearings before the senate on CNN as our C-Span only aired the first day. I have gotten to the point I want to jump through the boob tube and throttle a few ignorant senators. The racist Jeff Sessions can jump off a cliff as far as I'm concerned.
The "wise Latina" statement has gotten out of hand. I'm a little upset that she has back downed from that original statement - as it definitely makes sense. I think her move is more of an appeasement than anything else. But over and over these senators are leaving off the last few words that corroborate the statement - thus ending up with an insulting remark. Good grief.

Our Jamboree In The Hills begins tomorrow, and in the past our local TV station has covered the entire show (Thurs-Sun). Unfortunately, this year they are only televising Thursday and Saturday. If the lineup were a great one I would be more pissed - but the lineup SUCKS!!

Also, we do not have a big name cable company in our neighborhood - we have an independently owned service. As of July 31st we are losing our only 2 local channels (WTOV and WTRF), and therefore, will not have access to local news at all. Supposedly, he cannot reach a financial agreement with either station....this has me pissed, not to mention quite a few in the neighborhood. If we could switch to Comcast, which I don't relish, it would be great. that is not an option. I'm not a happy camper to say the least.

The lights will be coming on, on the deck soon and the air is cooling off - another nice evening for me here on the back deck.

I'll check back ................... later.......................

**UPDATE** I WIN - PROPERTY IS MINE!!

Well, my Irish is calming down now. As I posted here on the 9th, the new neighbors were under the impression that my side lot - was theirs.

The surveyor has been out here for several hours now, and digging up pieces of all the neighbors yards (both sides of the street), and finally have discerned that I was correct. The stakes have been placed approximately two feet towards my house - from the neighboring driveway.

I even discussed with the surveyors, several issues, but they agreed that these people were definitely mislead by the use of the phrase "extra lot." One would assume hearing that phrase that there is a clear and visible open space. The surveyor even explained to these people that the house was built - centered between both lots.

Now there appears to be an existing problem with the neighbors on the "other" side of the new residents. That lucky individual is our local Police Chief, and it appears that his chain link fence is encroaching on the new neighbors lot. Egads...this gets more interesting as we move along.

SUPREME COUT NOMINEE HEARINGS...LET THE SPIN BEGIN...

The Honorable Sonia Sotomayor is beginning at least a week of grilling, to say the least, on her ascension to the highest court in the nation. This is not out of the norm for any nominee to the Supreme Court. Unfortunately, the right wing asswipes are focusing on one thing and one thing alone...the "wise Latina" statement.

This, from the New York Times', is a reprint of Sotomayor's lecture entitled A Latina Judge's Voice, as published in the Spring of 2002 (speech in 2001) issue of Berkeley La Raza Journal - a symposium issue entitled "Raising the Bar: Latino and Latina Presence in the Judiciary and the Struggle for Representation."

I intend... to talk to you about my Latina identity, where it came from, and the influence I perceive it has on my presence on the bench....

Like many other immigrants to this great land, my parents came because of poverty and to attempt to find and secure a better life for themselves.... The Latina side of my identity was forged and closely nurtured by my family through our shared experiences and traditions....

America has a deeply confused image of itself that is in perpetual tension. We are a nation that takes pride in our ethnic diversity, recognizing its importance in shaping our society and in adding richness to its existence. Yet, we simultaneously insist that we can and must function and live in a race and color-blind way that ignore these very differences that in other contexts we laud....

When I finished law school in 1979, there were no women judges on the Supreme Court....There was then only one Afro-American Supreme Court Justice and then and now no Latino or Latina justices on our highest court....

[O]ne of my former colleagues on the Southern District bench, Judge Miriam Cederbaum....rightly points out that the perception of the differences between men and women is what led to many paternalistic laws and to the denial to women of the right to vote because we were described then "as not capable of reasoning or thinking logically" but instead of "acting intuitively."...

Judge Cedarbaum nevertheless believes that judges must transcend their personal sympathies and prejudices and aspire to achieve a greater degree of fairness and integrity based on the reason of law. Although I agree with...Judge Cedarbaum's aspiration, I wonder whether achieving that goal is possible in all or even in most cases.... whether by ignoring our differences as women or men of color we do a disservice both to the law and society.... I accept the thesis of... Professor Steven Carter of Yale Law School...that in any group of human beings there is a diversity of opinion because there is both a diversity of experiences and of thought....

[B]ecause I accept the proposition that, as [Yale Law School Professor Judith] Resnik describes it, "to judge is an exercise of power" and because as... Professor Martha Minnow of Harvard Law School states "there is no objective stance but only a series of perspectives - no neutrality, no escape from choice in judging," I further accept that our experiences as women and people of color affect our decisions. The aspiration to impartiality is just that--it's an aspiration because it denies the fact that we are by our experiences making different choices than others....

Whether born from experience or inherent physiological or cultural differences...our gender and national origins may and will make a difference in our judging. Justice [Sandra Day] O'Connor has often been cited as saying that a wise old man and wise old woman will reach the same conclusion in deciding cases. I am not so sure....that I agree with the statement. First, as Professor Martha Minnow has noted, there can never be a universal definition of wise. Second, I would hope that a wise Latina woman with the richness of her experiences would more often than not reach a better conclusion than a white male who hasn't lived that life.

Let us not forget that wise men like Oliver Wendell Holmes and Justice Cardozo voted on cases which upheld both sex and race discrimination in our society. Until 1972, no Supreme Court case ever upheld the claim of a woman in a gender discrimination case. I, like Professor Carter, believe that we should not be so myopic as to believe that others of different experiences or backgrounds are incapable of understanding the values and needs of people from a different group.... As Judge Cedarbaum pointed out to me, nine white men on the Supreme Court in the past have done so on many occasions and on many issues including Brown [v. Board of Education.]

However, to understand takes time and effort, something that not all people are willing to give. For others, their experiences limit their ability to understand the experiences of others. Other simply do not care. Hence, one must accept the proposition that a difference there will be by the presence of women and people of color on the bench. Personal experiences affect the facts that judges choose to see. My hope is that I will take the good from my experiences and extrapolate them further into areas with which I am unfamiliar. I simply do not know exactly what that difference will be in my judging. But I accept there will be some based on my gender and my Latina heritage.

The "wise Latina" statement makes total sense, yet the demagogues of the right wing have taken it out of context and represented it in a racial tone. Those now infamous words have been divorced from the totality of a 3,929 word speech.

Conservatives have been waving these 32 words as a sort of "red flag" to incite hatred and bigotry. Considering this party has become the master of spin and slime, I am not totally shocked.

Well excuse me Rethuglians and pundits....never having walked a day in the shoes of a black person or a Latino(a), I can only imagine the prejudice and bigotry they have had to endure during their lifetimes. I agree with her statement which has drawn so much fire.

The face of the SCOTUS has been predominately a bastion of white males (2 blacks and 2 women over time), but this does not reflect the face of our United States today.

In the first 2 1/2 hours of this initial hearing - comments are coming from, alternately Dems and Repubs, and the line has been clearly drawn. Sen. Lyndsay Graham has already made a scathing attack based on the "words" and thankfully Sen. Pat Leahy corrected the blatant lies he was trying to assert. (Leahy even had Sen. Sessions bolster the fact that Graham was "making it up as he went.")

I will be watching these hearings as much as possible - and I have faith that Sotomayor will be able to handle herself well against these sanctimonious fukktards (we know who they are.)

I may even be back here................later...................

SOME PEOPLE ARE SOOOO CREATIVE! I HEART THIS...

MY HUMBLE THANKS DOC..........#800 WOOHOO!

THIS IS MY 800TH POST - THAT'S A LOT OF JUNK COMING OUT OF THIS HEAD....SCARY HUH???

Dr. Monkey Von Monkerstein awarded me this badge awhile back, and I apologize for getting to this at such a late date. I t almost makes me appear ungrateful - which I am not. It's the 'Blogging Brings Us Closer Together' award. Thank you for this award sir.

There was no specific criteria that accompanied this badge of honor, so we will let it speak for itself.

I choose to honor the following:

Utah Savage - an articulate, wonderful lady. She is a loyal friend and suffers with demons of her own, but pushing them to the farthest depths of her being - in order to be a great "friend."

Evil Twin's Wife - a stay at home mom, so totally involved with her children and their educations and formulative days - and loves her wine in a box! Chuckle, chuckle.

John abuzz - an accountant and florist who has shared some great pics of the past and current travels. A midwesterner with a sense of humor and love of the outdoors.

Leftist Grandpa - because we think the same politically and he always has something of great import to add to the news of the moment.

November Fifth - (skyewriter) Another politically charged writer. Super great posts and quite informative. We share a love of cats also.

Re-Ramblings - an Oklahoma girl, who will make you laugh. At one time she had a post of a video doing a stand-up comedy routine. She gives a great moderation on life in general.

yellowdog granny - a West Texas granny, with pizazz! She has an opinion and is not afraid to tell ya! Great postings from this lady.

I hope everyone enjoys and passes the award on to others who bring us "bloggers together."

"HOUSE" INTERVIEWS MICHAEL JACKSON.....

Enough said - there will be no more on MJ from me!!

TALK ABOUT "GOOD LUCK!"

I've heard all the folk lore about never killing a ladybug....BUT!!!

COMPLETED AND ALREADY ENJOYED!!!

I have made a nice little cozy area on the front deck.

Thegrandson was tickled, I told him he could even eat his meals here if he desired. He thinks we got the bar set for him...duh?!?!

This is where I park my lard butt. I have a small TV beside the bar and the deck has mounted lights around the railing - so it is quite enjoyable.

I placed the two additional Adirondack chairs in the corner (cushions are off because storm is coming) and this will be nice if I want to entertain - haha!

After putting everything back onto both porches - the pain my body was experiencing was awful. After thedaughter got home from work and ran her errands...we decided to just chill on the back deck. Two appletinis and a little smoke, I was better than fine! Thedaughter gets a good chuckle if I even appear to be drunk - and let me tell you, those two drinks managed to do the job.

I slept relatively good as well - thanks to the Smirnoff. Today will be a "day of nothing" as a storm is rolling in and I won't get to enjoy the outside that much.

Usually the rains come from the west and blow into the canopied area - I might give it a shot till I start to get drenched. Since the back deck gets ALL the evening sun - the canopy keeps some of that heat and bright sunlight from coming through the back sliding door.

I have a huge pile of garbage ready for the dump, as the back deck accumulates all the "what to do with" stuff during the winter months. I've made an executive decision that it will be discarded.

Have a great weekend all....and I shall return....later....

DON'T GO ANYWHERE......

because I will return. This huge project of staining both decks has finally ended. The guy finished the last bit of stain on the lattice around 2 pm. So now, I have been trying to get it all put back together.

The humidity level has to be at 1000% and the temps are in the mid 80's - and I'm sweating bullets. Physically, I'm not able to do all this crap anymore and I'm probably going to die. If someone finds my fat carcass in the backyard - I hope they just kick some dirt on my face.

I ran to McD's and let them serve our dinner tonight - because I'm exhausted. My arthritis is in full swing and the pain is miserable. I should be done in about an hour - so hang in there. If I survive - I shall return.....later........

EVIAN ANYONE???

ROCK ON BABIES!!!

MY IRISH IS IN A RAGE....

This picture was taken two years ago, but I place it here to visualize my side lot. My lot extends to within approximately 2 feet of the concrete driveway on the left. We bought this house and moved in, April of 1986, and have been paying taxes on this lot since that time.

My neighbor, recently sold her house which was finalized yesterday around 3 pm, with all the money exchanges, loans and paperwork completed. By 6 pm, the new owners and relatives, comprising about nine cars, all showed up at this house, parking in MY side yard.

Thedaughter made the comment, "you realize that this lot is ours, don't you?" To which they replied "NO, our contract includes an additional lot and we paid extra for that." The argument ensued. It was more conversational - not really confrontational, as there was more shock from their camp.

I explained that I have been paying taxes on this property since I bought this house 23 years ago. I also explained that at one time it was completely fenced in along the property lines. In these past 23 years, I have removed a major amount of flora and fauna, as there was no placement logic, in most of the green stuff. Now, we have had a gorgeous lawn on the side for the past nine years.

The people (or clan I might say) are slightly pissed (as I am too), and all we could advise was to contact the realtor that led them through the property and to get a survey done for clarity. Many years ago, it was common practice that a survey was performed on all properties being sold/purchased. I know I am not paying for one, as I have the clear deed and by rights of 23 years - I'm standing firm.

Did I mention that they are "dirty asses?" I hate to use that term, but can't think of a more appropriate one at the moment. It was like the Clampett's moving in, with everything tied to the top of cars and stuff dripping over the sides of the beater pick-up trucks.

Thegrandson knows the two children, as they attend the same school and ride the same bus. My intention is not to piss off the "new" folks...but I will stand firm on ownership. The sad part, is there is very little yard for children to play for these folks.

Essentially, I am not shocked that his happened, as the "former" neighbor told me she was not going to have any problems getting $97,500 for her house since she had the "extra lot." I asked her several times, "where is your extra lot?" - never receiving an answer. So, for the past four weeks, I had an underlying feeling that this could become an issue.

This will be interesting as it unfolds, so I will update when necessary. Thedaughter wants to immediately put up a fence along the property, but I like "open" space and would hate to go back to being "fenced in."

**********************
I am reading this morning that Massachusetts is suing the federal government over the DOMA. A bold stance I must say, but truly wonderful. It should be interesting to see how this issue will be addressed. For clarity on the state level and fairness - DOMA (Defense of Marriage Act) needs to be nullified. Kudos to Mass.

I got into a loooong drawn out discussion with a group of friends last night, over the accomplishments of the Obama administration. The general consensus was that he is doing a good job, considering the mess he walked into. None of us are 100% happy with all the decision, which is a hard number to reach with any administration.

We all, also agreed that it is amazing that the detractors of Obama, are trashing him rather prematurely. But to get into the rethug mentality is almost a waste of my time and breath. Logic, facts and accurate data are no deterrent to these bigots, and the ones I speak of are very bigoted. No one point blank says they hate Obama because he is black...they just whip out the racial slurs and jokes. A real sign of intelligence there, wouldn't you say. If you want to argue with me, you better come armed with facts first. Although I get mad at these comments, I have not addressed them as I honestly desire.

I will not and never have tolerated bigotry and prejudice. I take my stances seriously, and will not even argue a point if I have no statistics to back my stance. But I am surrounded by those who march to evangelical, Conservative talking points and spin. No REAL facts mind you, just the blathering of haters. I use the word "hate" very little in my life, because it is such a strong emotion. Hate can drive people to unimaginable lengths. I refuse to let a force like tht own me.

Enough of that for now. The back deck is completed (yesterday), and we will probably have the front deck completed today. Thank you Mother Nature for cooperating these past few days with all this sunshine. While the outside task is being completed, I hope to get some major cleaning done INSIDE. Thedaughter is off today (as yesterday), so maybe I will get some assistance.

Have a great one all, and I shall return.........LATER...............

?? OF THE DAY...HOW ARE YOU REMEMBERING MJ????

Don't let that title make you mad! I'm being facetious here. But on every channel, in the print media and the interwebs...everyone wants to know the answer to that question.

Let me tell you here and now, I liked some of his songs, but to say I was a Michael Jackson fan...NO.

I have been remembering Michael Jackson in my own way today...I have done three loads of wash, watered the flowers, changed the sheets on the bed, made two trips to Wheeling Island, dusted (alas, no vacuuming) and I am done for the day.

Considering my maiden name is Jackson, I want you to understand - WE ARE NOT RELATED! At least I don't think we are. Even so, every family has their outcasts.

My basic problem, is MJ's propensity for young boys, his comments years ago that "sleeping with these boys is the most natural thing in the world." The true fans will say "he was acquitted" of those charges, but they must forget about the $20 million payoff to one family two years prior, to keep them quiet.

In my humble opinion, MJ was a freak. Whether Papa Joe is responsible for the quirky behaviors, I do not know, but considering how long MJ has been out of the limelight - he was retired in my opinion. Hell, he was only doing this grueling 50 appearance tour, to hopefully get out of the red.

To have him just "laying around" for 13 days after death - is beyond reason. He is truly a man of a different color by now. (OMG - did I say that?)

There is more than enough newsworthy items to be reported, so enough with all the MJ tributes and memorials. I am sure all the stations will be running and re-running this memorial service ad nauseum. But don't fret, if you missed it, it will be available on a 2 CD offer for only $19.95 next week.

SHE HAS THE SYMPTOMS....NO DOUBT OF THAT....

Considering all the research I get into, basically to fulfill my constant curiosity, it is indisputable that the Alaskan Princess is suffering from this disorder:

Narcissistic personality disorder symptoms may include:

Believing that you're better than others
Fantasizing about power, success and attractiveness
Exaggerating your achievements or talents
Expecting constant praise and admiration
Believing that you're special
Failing to recognize other people's emotions and feelings
Expecting others to go along with your ideas and plans
Taking advantage of others
Expressing disdain for those you feel are inferior
Being jealous of others
Believing that others are jealous of you
Trouble keeping healthy relationships
Setting unrealistic goals
Being easily hurt and rejected
Having a fragile self-esteem
Appearing as tough-minded or unemotional
Although some features of narcissistic personality disorder may seem like having confidence or strong self-esteem, it's not the same. Narcissistic personality disorder crosses the border of healthy confidence and self-esteem into thinking so highly of yourself that you put yourself on a pedestal. In contrast, people who have healthy confidence and self-esteem don't value themselves more than they value others.

When you have narcissistic personality disorder, you may come across as conceited, boastful or pretentious. You may belittle or look down on people you perceive as inferior. You may have a sense of entitlement. And when you don't receive the special treatment to which you feel entitled, you may become very impatient or angry.

But underneath all this grandiosity often lies a very fragile self-esteem.

The "poor pitiful me" and "I'm being held to a much different standard", just don't wash in today's political arena. The media is definitely intrusive, but most politician's understand that when entering the game. All the minions and sycophants of Palin, only bolster her grandiosity. Like adding fuel to the fire, they have allowed her to believe she is "the greatest."

Palin has made so many off-the-wall comments, like "I have done more in three years as governor than any before." Correction Sarah, you have not been in office three years, and what are these accomplishments of which you speak?

She lied while on the campaign trail, which tells me, she can dish it out, but cannot take it! It never bothered her that she was inciting people to KILL Obama through her despicable lies. But she presumes to come out of this, answer her "higher calling" (whatever that may be) as a martyr to the GOP. I do not see this happening.

July 25th cannot come son enough. I will be celebrating what would have been my 34th wedding anniversary and the demise of Sarah Palin..WOOHOO!!

Later..............

FAUX NEWS SURPRISED ME...GO LYNN TROTTA...

I would be hardpressed to single out an instance, other than Shep Smith, of someone who crossed Faux News conservative, bigoted stance. This really threw me for a loop, but Ms. Trotta nailed it on the head.

PROGRESS THIS ALASKAN PRINCESS....

Apparently Palin does not realize (I know you're shocked) that everything she has said will haunt her into the future.

So practice what you preach.....

This woman cannot disappear into the woodwork fast enough for me....and millions of others. She needs to whine herself into oblivion, never to be heard from again.

SUCH A LOVELY HOLIDAY CHORE.....

When I asked thedaughter's friend (Jayme), if he could power wash the decks and stain both, he never missed a beat before saying "yes." I do believe now, he would wish that he had re-thought that answer. Strange, how in our minds this could be a relatively easy task - but in actuality, he is on day two, and will finish the power washing part of the deal. No staining will even start till tomorrow.

It is amazing how good the wood looks (upper part) after being cleaned of the old stain, dirt and grime. This picture is of the back deck which was completely cleaned yesterday. My friend is still diligently working on the front, as I type. Eight hours total to clean the back deck, and he has been at it since 10:30 am this morning, on the front (6 hrs.) We agreed on a set price and he is sticking to that, but said if anyone asked him in the future, or even myself in 2-3 years, he would be charging considerably more. I understand that.

Thegrandson is at the age, where I feel he can "sort of" lend a helping hand when necessary. I gave him the hammer, and asked him to go along behind Jayme and pound in any nails that he saw were raised. This lasted at least an entire 10 minutes, before boredom set in. Since he was getting wet from the over spray - he found a trash can lid and decided to make an adventure out of this task.

Thegrandson is playing scarce today - there's more fun at the neighbors, in the form of a water gun battle. I'll let him get away with it for now, and probably tomorrow, as I don't really think I want him to be a "stained" mess.

I am "babysitting" tonite so thedaughter can attend and REO, Styxx concert. I told her I want paid though. I watch thegrandson endlessly while she works, but if she is just going out to have fun - pay me. She kind of balked at the whopping $5/hr I am charging, but that is just too bad.

I may have to blog more on Sarah Palin later, as I definitely would like to be included with the mass of bloggers she wants to sue - since she is, of course - the VICTIM of mainstream media and all. Dr. MVM has aptly put his head on the chopping block, and I wouldn't want him to stand alone.

One thing that I ponder...she is now saying that she is being ragged on because she is "answering a higher calling.." WTF is that? She's going to become an evangelical nun or something? Give me a fukking break.

Enjoy the day and I shall return.........later...........

RUN FAST...THE GOP IS IMPLODING!!!!

The Sarah Palin announcement of resignation was a shock to most Americans, no matter the party affiliation. I have received nasty comments, due to my glee over this event. One was from a family member, who is on a polar opposite politically and religiously. She referred to this resignation, if due to an illegal act as a precursor for all of Obama's illegal acts to be exposed. WTF???

Let's see, Palin was found culpable in the Troopergate investigation by an impartial committee, but when reviewed by a partisan group, just the opposite was declared. Hmmm.... There are still many ethics complaints to be addressed, but the outcome will remain to be seen with this departure from office.

While campaigning with McCrackhead, the vile lies that came out of her mouth, became fodder for the tin foil crowd of the GOP. She mastered the art of "talking points" as spoon fed to her by the minions of McC. In watching most of those speeches, I looked at this woman, saw her expressions, listened to her mish mash of words, and thought "she honestly doesn't have a clue." Her supporters hung on every words as gospel - without daring to check sources or facts. My favorite was her claim of Obama's association with a "known terrorist" Bill Ayers. Had she lived through the late 60's early 70's and researched Ayer's group, she would have realized what they were actually protesting against and the outcome of those protests. But no...he became the slaughterer of thousands.

I honestly believe that her followers were taken in because she is an attractive lady and since McCain selected this woman and assured his base that she was thoroughly vetted - everything would be OK with the world.

Her propensity for the whacked out extreme church in Wasilla with African medicine men performing ritual services, was a little over the top for me. Being an atheist, I am probably in her book of shame and damned to hell for eternity. But get over yourself. I am a good person, with ethics and morals, which by definition, do not have to come directly out of the book of fables. This issue doesn't even phase me that much.

Essentially, my gripe with Palin was her lack of knowledge and intelligence. Politically, she has/had no clue about the mechanics of the GOP on the large scale. She has delusions of grandeur still, that she will move up in the ranks of this antiquated, extreme party. That remains to be seen.

I detested the fact that she manipulated and used her family for her trials and tribulations. She couldn't utter one sentence without blaming the "mainstream" media for her ills. Now, if this investigation into her possibly tainted association with an Alaskan contractor comes to fruition...it will be the mainstream media's fault. Of course it will, the MM made her choose this select company to build a white elephant of a sports complex in Wasilla, with multiple millions of dollars in cost overruns. Then....use this company to build her luxurious home on the lake. Between what she may face with the DOJ and the IRS, I say she may be cooked.

As for Trig - she managed over and over, to insinuate that all the barbs coming her way were directed at her child. More manipulation. Not being callous, but he is not the first special needs child and he won't be the last - and be that as it may, no one on the larger spectrum - ever denigrated that little boy.

I won't even get into the child out of wedlock, because that happens around this country on a regular basis. But her feelings of being the elite spokesperson to family values is slightly amiss. It is what it is - get over yourself.

Back to the family comment (mine), I wonder what "illegal" acts this person thinks should be revealed about Pres. Obama? None that I am aware of. And secrets, what may they be? Maybe this relative knows something we don't know.

I understand where all the hatred for Obama comes from, which I will not go into here. Am I 100% happy with the job he is doing? No, but 95%..yes. We will never have a President that makes us totally happy. But considering the past eight years of our history, will go down as being fucked up from the beginning - we can only look ahead now. Our president came into office with one hellacious mess - and now these fukktards are screaming because he hasn't done anything in FIVE MONTHS!

I have my family values and there hasn't been a problem to date. We have had the out of wedlock child who is loved more than anything in the world, there has been the adulterer and alcoholic, the divorced and remarried ones. Pretty typical for America as a whole. But we do believe in right and wrong and try not to lie and be we practice being nice to our fellow man. What more could we want?

The outcome of Palin's problems has yet to be seen, but I am sure it will be a doozy. If it is the illegal act which has been alluded to, then she should justifiably pay the price. If one looks at the history of corruption in Alaska and the politicians, there is no shock value left to me.

Have a great 4th of July all. I am having my decks power washed and stained - so if there is any rain out there - GO AWAY!! No picnic this year, but something is being accomplished. Later..............

I'M DOING A HAPPY, ECSTATIC DANCE.... PALIN IS RESIGNING!!!

Hell yes! This woman is one piece of work. I have ragged on her - yes admittedly so, on quite a few occasions. The woman is totally fukked in the head. Listen to this speech. She even tried to make an analogy between her decision and BASKETBALL. She praises her achievements in Alaska, which were what??? The Emmonak tribe is still facing devastation as they are without salmon quotas and their survival is questionable. Palin has made announcement after announcement that this tribe is fine and sustainable - which is so opposite of the facts.

The people of Alaska got a whopping $1300 check per person (I think I'm right on that figure) from the oil revenue surplus - but now that oil is down, there will not be anymore sharing of funds.

She has a record number of ethics complaints still waiting to be addressed. She has even lied in the past that she was "absolved of any wrongdoing."

I hate that she now is dragging "Trig" into this equation. Saying that he was dragged through some pretty mean things the past week or so. That is not so. She made the inference - no one else.

Listen to this 7 minute plus video...she sounds as crazy as she ever has. Let's see what do you think her new occupation will be? Champion for special needs children? Snow sled advisor? Hmmmm..... This is one super crazy speech. There is no way in hell she will ever run on the national ticket - impossible. There is also a sense of stupidity in leaving your state in such a manner. Hell, Mark Sanford can't even take a hint.

Oh well, back to my busting a move. Later..............

JON STEWART IS THE GREATEST...

What can we say about Glen Beck? Or let me rephrase that, what GOOD things can we say about Glen Beck. I hated him on CNN, and I truly detest his warped and demented show at Faux. leave it to him to have someone on his show to further the rhetoric that Obama is NOT keeping us safe. I mean honestly, in five full months in office, Obama should have had the unemployment figures wayyyyy down, the Wall street debacle completely cleared up and on an even keel, peace negotiations with warring countries signed and delivered, Gay rights fully established, health care reform completed and total WORLD PEACE.

Realistically it took "W" six full years to fuck up this country in all ways - and the neocons and remaining rethugs believe that casting aspersions on our President, whilst more or less preferring life as it was say in September of 2008 (before the collapse) - makes this administration EVIL!

This clip from last night is great, so watch...

Well, take a break and HAMMERTIME!!!

I'm almost 60 years old and there is still a part of me that could really get into being part of a crazy flashmob!! Call me crazy.

SUMMER TRAFFIC TIE-UPS......

We had some major road repairs a couple of years ago, near my home. Rt. 149 wraps around a hill with a massive water tower atop. The hillside below the road was cut way back (and to close) to the placement of the new road, in preparation for a major project which is underway now.

This morning I get up to take thegrandson to his swimming lesson and as I start the turn - this is what I faced. The road has started to "slip", because it was cut in too far - which I, the non-engineer could have told the idiots when it was under construction.

Not to mention that in tapering the hillside both above and below the road...the water tower is precipitously close to sliding down this hill also. Maybe it is just a Buckeye State mentality, but it does appear that a slew of morons made these idiotic decisions and got paid the big bucks - knowing they would have to repair the problems.

The new road will cut between the ball fields and below the existing road, and should be completed in 2010. I guess we will have to wait and see on that one.

I really only wanted to post about the portable stoplight in the first picture and got way off track. I truly want to own one of those stop lights. I want to, late at night, just make it appear at the most ridiculous spots - to drive people totally over the edge. C'mon admit it...it would be fun. Like in the middle of a pasture, at the end of a "dead end" street, etc. I love harmless pranks and could really get into this one.

I have to find somewhere to take thegrandson to watch fireworks for the 4th. We have always had our own displays here in town - as one of the largest fireworks distributors has been located here for over 80 years. But oh no...the idiot in charge (that needs to go), spent the money in early June for a disastrous "All American Town" festival and fireworks then.

The kids don't understand that logic and many here will face a big disappointment. The small sparklers, firecrackers and ocassional cherry bomb are a regular nightly event leading up to the 4th and for at least a week afterwards. Therefore, my huge scared dog is settled in - in the hallway upstairs. What a wuss!

**************************

I just read that Minnesota's Michelle Bachmann (of idiot fame), was confronted by other Repubs, and told NOT to pop off anymore about her illegal act of not filling out her census forms, and encouraging others to do the same. Curses, I was hoping those that love and adore her (in her district) would follow suit, which would ultimately annihilate that district - and put her out of a job. Rats! One can only dream.
Oh well, another great actor passed away today - Karl Malden. He lived a very long life - 97 years, and will be missed.

I have things to tend to now...like eat a bottle of Tylenol for this headache, which I have had all day. It is raining and dismal also - which really enhances my mood.

Have a great evening......later.................
