**UPDATE** I WIN - PROPERTY IS MINE!!

Well, my Irish is calming down now. As I posted here on the 9th, the new neighbors were under the impression that my side lot - was theirs.

The surveyor has been out here for several hours now, and digging up pieces of all the neighbors yards (both sides of the street), and finally have discerned that I was correct. The stakes have been placed approximately two feet towards my house - from the neighboring driveway.

I even discussed with the surveyors, several issues, but they agreed that these people were definitely mislead by the use of the phrase "extra lot." One would assume hearing that phrase that there is a clear and visible open space. The surveyor even explained to these people that the house was built - centered between both lots.

Now there appears to be an existing problem with the neighbors on the "other" side of the new residents. That lucky individual is our local Police Chief, and it appears that his chain link fence is encroaching on the new neighbors lot. Egads...this gets more interesting as we move along.

Glad your part is all squared away. Now all you have to do is sit back and watch the rest of this with some popcorn.

Good to hear that your side is squared away...the poor Police Chief!

Huh? I thought those things had to be sorted out before closing on property? My dad had to move his shed 3 inches over before our neighbor could sell his property...

And all you had to do was threaten simple bodily harm.

I'm quite relieved. In my current lurking state, I was getting a might concerned for you.

So glad this was easily settled. These things can be so expensive to deal with.

I'm playing catch up on blog reading & commenting, but wanted to say I'm glad to hear it. I never had any doubt though. The accountant in you requires attention to detail, and you can't help but to let that spill over into everything else in life. In other words, never doubt themom! Cheers!
