Happy New Year

Well, the holidays have certainly passed too quickly and here we are at the end of 2005. Just pondering the events of the past year and can't think of anything dramatic worth remembering. I have picked a lousy time to decide to blog, feel rather down in the dumps as it were. Only getting two days of work next week, worrying about finances, thinking about changes I need to make in my life - oh well, shite happens - I will get out of this funk.

I really wanted to go out this New Years Eve, but caught some damn bug and can't stay to far away from the meditation room. Lovely. Will probably be in bed by 10 or so - so everyone HAPPY NEW YEAR from me.

Really tickled with the B-town Boyz blog. A crazier bunch of guys you will never meet. They ought to be a real treat when they grow up. Just kidding - you are all maturing nicely. Hope you all behave tonight and think of poor Slyght, so many thousands of miles away. His New Years was rung in at 1:30 pm (our time) this afternoon. I am sure he is out like a light at this moment.

Slyght and his group have spent past New Years at this house and always had a good time. I always enjoyed tripping over the bodies the next morning. You never knew who was sleeping where!?!?!? I believe they even broke out the fireworks a time or two. (and usually I slept thru it all!)

HAPPY NEW YEAR ALL!! (if I crawl out of my depression I will add more later!!)

MOM STRIKES AGAIN

OK - Zac told everyone already about my short fuse in dealing with morons, well today should be no different I guess. Best friend Jean told me I could get my AOL for $14.95 instead of the $21.51 I have been paying (AARP discount.) thought I would check it out. After perusing AOL it seems that with broadband they do have such a plan, and decided to use the live tech chat to make the change. Well I could have had a better conversation with my hamster. After going on and off with the "cheery anonymous tech" - I decided to CALL. Never mind the push this number and that number, this taped voice started, "if you ......." cut off, "i think you said "home", is that correct?" No idiot I said BROADBAND!!!! "I need some more information in order to direct your call, are you calling from your dial-up...." cut off. "You need....." cut off. Now I am punching the zero as many times as possible and finally get a "we feel you need to speak with a consultant - please hold!" Cool. Held for TWENTY FIVE FUKKING MINUTES!" Needless to say, with all the things I need to be doing, this wait time did not help my demeanor when TAMMY came on the line. After my initial tirade about the pathetic phone system they have, I explained about the change I wished to make, and 2 questions later she said fine - "your bill will be changed on January 9th. Can I help you with anything else?" Zac, believe it or not - I bit my tongue and said Thank you - I am done.

We will see how the bill reflects the change on January 9th, till then I will not say anything bad. Maybe!!!

Whew! I feel better getting that off my chest. Later all!

can foresee a nervous breakdown

OK - what is this all about. middle aged and i woke up with a zit. what is next - full blown acne??? as if i don't have enough to deal with. I have lost my comments button, but i am sure zac will talk me thru that one.

glad to see everyone is jumping on the bandwagon and we are all going to be BLOGGERS. this could be interesting. i have a day off and am still up and on this puter at 6:30 am. just shoot me now.

my goal is to be a much better blogger once i figure the damn thing out - and i will!! gonna go for now, maybe add something at end of day.

any suggestions would be helpful - but without a comment button just use ESP.

Second stab at this blog

Oh to be this disgruntled middle age woman is tough. My attitude to deal with this is humor. Besides knowing what buttholes I have to deal with (AS IN WORK) I also thrive in knowing that I am smarter and deserve better. Now to tackle the mission of obtaining "better."

Read today of a woman in Morgantown, WV who was locked out of her car by her CAT. She had 3 cats in the car and was getting something out of the trunk and one cat decided to stand on the automatic lock button. Now she had to call the fire department to rescue her kitties. Talk about embarrassment. My 5 yr old grandson invariably locks the car everytime I pick him up from the babysitters and just giggles while I am begging at the window to be let into my car. Needless to say I finally caught on to his wiles and have the keys with me at all times. He is just a little too smart and would probably decide to take a "loop" before coming back to pick me up. His Uncle Z. teaches him strange things (considering the said Uncle took his fathers truck over a hill when he was 3 yrs. old.) I can only imagine the wonderful tricks he will be taught - my bad, I always encouraged the lad anyway. I am the ultimate liberal mom and proud of it!!

My son (before mentioned Uncle Z) has emailed me all the neat things to do on this blog and I hope to improve it on a regular basis.

So long for now - more tomorrow hopefully.

rest after rush

Finally, a day to relax and not have to hurry anywhere. A time to think about where I am heading, since I am so unsatisfied at work and the treatment I have received. A true vacation is all I long for. Maybe in the spring.

The weather should be cold and snowy but we have a blustery 60 degree day in the ohio valley - this sucks.

More later, just trying this out for now.
