NOW WE WAIT......MY FINGERS ARE CROSSED....

UPDATE: CNN is reporting Susan Boyle finished in 2nd place, losing to the dance troupe Diversity. Other news agencies are saying that all the public votes will not be counted for several hours. Interesting!!!

In approximately ten hours, all the phone in votes will be tallied, and the winner of Britain's Got Talent will be announced. If I could vote...it would be for Susan Boyle. I cannot get enough of her voice. I have watched the two prior videos over and over and the goosebumps keep returning.

She sings her original song as her encore performance and it is even lovelier than before. See for yourself, and listen to the judges. I will be awaiting the announcement of the winner.

ALL MARITAL UNIONS MUST BE ABOLISHED!!!

I do believe this video is going viral!!! I stole it from Grandpa Eddie, and it is now posted at True Blue Texan, and Riot Kitty. Let's pass it around and on and on and on!!!

Considering the masses of conservative religious wingnuts who feel they alone have the power to "define" marriage - good point here.....abolish them all!

REPREHENSIBLE...AMERICA'S OWN HOMEGROWN...

TERRORIST, has the audacity to refer to Sonia Sotomayor and her "menstrual period!" I can honestly say Chauvinistic does not even begin to describe this miscreant. G. Gordon Liddy, felon and "mercenary" by his own terms, is a useless pile of human waste. I should hope no PMS woman takes a pot shot at him! (fingers crossed.)

It is time for Man Coulter, Gingrich, Hannity, Liddy, Robertson, Buchanan...and the rest of their co-horts, to join the 21% of rethugs and take a long walk off a short pier! I've heard more than enough garbage. Grasp away fukktards...you just look as ignorant as you are.

NEWT, RUSH, PAT AND OTHER HOMOPHOBES....

THIS ONE'S FOR YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If I hear one more person spout from that book of fiction, that gays are an abomination - I shall scream. then proceed to pluck their eyes out!

ENOUGH ALREADY...MAKE A "VALID" ARGUMENT...

instead of the insane "grasping at straws" attempts so far!

Pres. Obama's pick to fill Justice Souter's position on the Supreme Court is a human being. Where along the line, do we forget that? Humans are subject to error, be it in everyday life decisions, or a seated judge, who has the daunting task of KNOWING the law, and having to interpret case law and dole out punishment.

First, I get very pissed when I hear Newt Gingrich make any comment regarding a present political situation. He is a fucking adulterer, despises gays, and was run out of the House for his "errors." He took one sentence out of an eight page speech, and decided that it was his duty to proclaim this woman a RACIST!

"I would hope that a wise Latina woman with the richness of her experiences would more often than not reach a better conclusion than a white male who hasn't lived that life."

But what these name-callers omit is the following sentence from that speech:

"Let us not forget that wise men like Oliver Wendell Holmes and Justice [Benjamin] Cardozo voted on cases which upheld both sex and race discrimination in our society."

Considering her "background", coming from the projects to graduate summa cum laude from two of the most highly respected Ivy League schools, speaks volumes to the intensity of her drive. I feel when the Judicial committee meets to consider her nomination - she will be able to hold her own, possibly putting a rethug or two in their place at the same time.

And another thing...EMPATHY! when did that word become a "racist" adjective? According to the dictionary:

empathy: from the Greek word empatheia - meaning affection. definition: the intellectual identification with or vicarious experiencing of the feelings, thoughts or attitudes of another. Identification with and understanding of anothers situation, feelings and motives.

Personally, I prefer to be surrounded by empathetic individuals, than narrow minded bigots!

So much for that...I have things to accomplish (or try), and will return....later.........

SOME THINK ALL WOMEN START THIS WAY....

Totally cute and adorable. This kid may never shut up!!!

BEAR WITH ME.....I HAVE A HEADACE....

A MAMMOTH, EXCRUCIATING, WON'T GO AWAY, HEADACHE.

With so much going on and possible blog topics to cover, my brain cannot fathom any of that at the moment. Instead, I find out that Archie Andrews - of the Archie comic book fame...is getting married. I haven't read one of these comic books in over 40 years - only to find out he is still in high school (what a dedicated young man), and he is NOT marrying Betty Cooper, the one who is perfect for him. He is marrying the snobby Veronica Lodge.

Now, since they are still in high school - I'm wondering if he got Veronica knocked up? Will Riverdale High School ever be the same?

Things to ponder, while I go lay down and try to make this pain in my head go away.

PROP 8 BATTLE FAR FROM OVER.....

Personally, I feel the California Supreme Court made a gargantuan error in upholding Prop 8 yesterday. Where and when does a state constitution override our Federal Constitution? The "equal" rights that these people deserve was thrown under the bus...literally.

Ted Olson, who was Bush's Solicitor General, is now leading a push to the federal level, to ensure that California honors the equality of marriage - no matter the gender.

I am shocked that Ted Olson has taken this stance, considering his prior conservative stances. Plus he is the attorney who argued Bush back into the WH over Al Gore. Also, I have sympathy for the man, as he lost his wife on one of the planes, on 9/11.

This is his statement to Bryon York of the Washington Examiner.
"I personally think it is time that we as a nation get past distinguishing people on the basis of sexual orientation and that a grave injustice is being done to people by making these distinctions," Olson told me Tuesday night. "I thought their cause was just."

I asked Olson about the objections of conservatives who will argue that he is asking a court to overturn the legitimately-expressed will of the people of California. "It is our position in this case that Proposition 8, as upheld by the California Supreme Court, denies federal constitutional rights under the equal protection and due process clauses of the constitution," Olson said. "The constitution protects individuals' basic rights that cannot be taken away by a vote. If the people of California had voted to ban interracial marriage, it would have been the responsibility of the courts to say that they cannot do that under the constitution. We believe that denying individuals in this category the right to lasting, loving relationships through marriage is a denial to them, on an impermissible basis, of the rights that the rest of us enjoy…I also personally believe that it is wrong for us to continue to deny rights to individuals on the basis of their sexual orientation."

Read more at America Blog.

This is a good sign, and if successful - I would imagine the remaining states will be giving a closer look to the issue - those that haven't already seen the light.

It is now time for all those right wingnuts to "pull their head out of their collective asses" and get with the program. Listen to the pleas - put down your book of fiction that you claim has all the answers, and realize that book is just something you all hide behind!

I have a little cleaning to get to, so I may return....later..........

ES and D DICK CHENEY!! A TRUE INTERROGATOR SPEAKS OUT...

Cheney can make all the neo-con arguments in the world, but here are the words from one - who actually conducted important interrogations.

I can't wait to see the bloated Cheney bloviate now!

Later..........................(**ES and D = Eat shit and die!)

GOV. JIM GIBBONS - JUST GET OVER YOURSELF!!!

As I say above, just "get over yourself!" This governor of Nevada has refused to meet with Pres. Obama as he visits Nevada for a Democratic fundraiser - saying he would prefer an apology from the President for causing the downturn in tourism to the gambling meccas of his state.

It would appear that Gibbons is of that rethug mentality - that the use of corporate jets and junkets by the major corporations was apparently, imperative to the viability of the Nevada economy. And to hell with the nation as a whole. Sorry folks, this guy is a fukktard of gargantuan proportions.

I am sure that Obama will not feel bad that he is being dissed by this asshole either. Gibbons apparently has not left the bubble he lives within, to realize this is a global cutback. The recession and hard times is felt by all - not just the gamblers.

The fundraiser is, I believe, for Harry Reid, but be that as it may, gibbons stated, “Both men should be ashamed, because people are suffering through the depths of the recession while they practice the height of hypocrisy." Does anyone else see the HYPOCRISY in his (Gibbon's) statement? All righty then, people are "suffering through the depths of the recession" - but we want the arrogant CEO's and tycoons to fly those corporate jets into Las Vegas and throw it in the face of the poor and suffering - that they have ripped them off and are going to spend their ill-gotten gains on personal fluff. GOOD GRIEF!!

*****************
I hope the answer coming from the California Supreme Court (expected today) is one for celebration. One can only hope that the Mormon backed Prop 8 is struck down. This could be interesting. Considering that same court made a judgement in the past - to do otherwise would be contradictory. They need to move into the 21st century and realize that eventually gay marriages will be accepted as the norm EVERYWHERE.

It is a rainy (off and on) day, and I plan on doing nothing. I cleaned and did laundry over the past couple of days, so there is nothing of great import staring me in the face. I do have to call the AC guy and have my AC unit checked. He has had to charge the unit for the past four years - that is not right. If there is a leak - find the damn thing. And I do have to replace the thermostat, as it is being cantankerous also. It is always something when a homeowner.

Pres. Obama just made his Supreme Court nominee announcement, and after reading her bio - I don't think there should be too many dissenters in seating her. But - one never knows!!!
Have a good one - I may return later...............

A NICE RELAXING DAY YESTERDAY...

My very good friend (and sometimes bodyguard), invited me out to his house for a picnic yesterday, and after putting him off on many requests, I agreed to come out. Primarily it was to be mostly adults, and I told him I would have thegrandson, and he assured me he would have ways to keep him occupied.

I explained to him that in order to come out to his place, to me it is like planning for a trip. It is a total of 34 miles from here, mostly interstate, but then 5 miles of backwoods country road. But the day was lovely and I can only refuse so many times, because he has mastered the art of "laying on the guilt."

Windy, as I have called him for 30 years, built a beautiful home near Piedmont Lake, and has over 140 acres of beautiful wooded property. He has worked quite hard to make this a dream location for himself and his children and grandchildren. The picture above is a zoomed in shot of the man made pond he has constructed and stocked with fish. (That would be thegrandson in the center - totally amazed at all the beauty). Here is a normal shot taken from the deck which runs the length of the home.

When we arrived, I was glad to see two of his grandchildren come out to greet us, as thegrandson would now have someone to "play" with, while the adults gathered. When Windy asked his 11 year old grandson to take thegrandson for a ride in the dune buggy - I thought thegrandson would explode with glee.

Windy has constructed roads all over the property for the dune buggy and quads. I have a video of thegrandson getting on the quad, with the life vests - heading down to the pond for a swim. Windy's daughter supervised the kids while swimming and got some terrific pictures, which she will download and email to me maybe tomorrow. Thegrandson had no swim trunks, so underwear sufficed - and he was happy as a clam.

I have to admit, I left here yesterday with some trepidation, that I would not be able to enjoy the company of my friends, as I had to watch thegrandson. The day could not have turned out any better. For all the hesitation I have had to go out there, Windy's daughter assured me she is there most weekends - and I know I could drop in ANYTIME - even stay the night if I so desired. After we return from vacation, I would imagine that we will be spending some time at "the farm" this summer.

I have to note, Windy (like me) is a stickler for manners. All the kids say "yes Pap, no Pap, the please and thank yous of course. Thegrandson has been prompted this way since he could talk - so he fit right in. At first he was in awe of everything around him, he made a slip up here and there, but he became attuned rather quickly.

Windy and his "first" ex-wife, and my husband and I - all had children close to the same age and we spent a lot of time together during those years. Since my husband died, he calls me at least once a week, we do lunch occasionally, and he was there for me when my husband and twin sister passed away. When he married for the second time - I advised him against it - I was right it didn't last. (Did I gloat - yep!) He now has a girlfriend, and she and I get along well. Bottom line - if I needed someone by my side in an emergency - Windy is my man.

Thegrandson fell asleep in the car on the way home - so I knew he was totally exhausted by all the fun he had. That makes for a good day!

Remember our troops on this Memorial Day - and I shall return....later........

SUSAN BOYLE - HOT OFF THE WIRES....2ND TIME AROUND

Susan Boyle begins just a wee tad shaky...but as my goose bumps disappear - she is FANTASTIC by the end.

ANOTHER STOLEN MEME - FOR SUNDAY!!

...SO HERE'S ANOTHER STOLEN MEME FROM "THE ABOVE." (**check them out)

AN AIR CONDITIONER BITES THE DUST!!

Summer has arrived early, and the temps have been in the mid 80's the past few days. I do have whole house air conditioning, but since there are no cold air returns, the upstairs gets quite warm. Therefore, theson and thedaughter have each had window AC units for the past several years.

After we returned from Columbus yesterday, thedaughter went up to her room and immediately realized that the AC unit was NOT working. It was making really scary sounds and no cool air was being released. Not good. I can hear the swearing and madness coming from that room immediately.

I told her we would have to get it out of the window and put thesons unit in - and we will deal with his room when he returns home. Well, for whatever reason, her window does not go up as high as in his room (same size windows), and she starts bitching at me and her friend, who just happens to really help me out when he is here - with "man" things that need done.

Let's put it this way - theson's air conditioner is NOW in thedaughter's window and may never ever, as long as I live - come out of that window again. Jaime got it in, and "tight squeeze" is putting it mildly. The side pull out which fill the width space are in bad shape - but AHA - we have DUCT TAPE!! It may not be pretty, but at least they will be cool.

The now deceased window unit and an old 20" TV are going to wait to be taken somewhere (not sure if landfill will accept) for disposal.

I thought I would have to replace my thermostat, as I could not get the touch pad to "lower" the temp, so AC would kick on. I replaced the batteries, I beat on it (which is what I do well), but no luck. Well, Jaime managed to get that working also. Apparently the batteries I put in were dead - not bad considering they came out of a new pack. Now, he just saved me about $60 on that chore.

Jaimie is going to help me power wash and stain both the front and back decks - which needed it last year, but was overlooked. It definitely has to be done this year.

The holiday weekend begins, and amazingly enough, as much as I would like to just chill here - I have my 18 year old grandson's graduation party this afternoon and a picnic tomorrow. Maybe Monday, I will hide in my bedroom. I think thedaughter works six days this week, so my babysitting will be more than full time.

Gotta run, have to start a pasta salad for tomorrow...so everyone have an enjoyable Memorial Day weekend!

CRAZY FRIDAY DOESN'T EVEN BEGIN....

to describe today. The main mission was to get our asses to Columbus, Ohio for thegrandsons dental appointment at OSU. He had some major work done there when he was four and with the "lousy" insurance coverage thedaughter has, this is the only place to have procedures performed.

All was going well, and I thought I remembered the exact route to the hospital/clinic, but I was mistaken. We became misdirected, as I never get lost, and took me awhile to get back on track - thus, we were twenty minutes late. Actually that was no problem to the staff, so all worked out well.

Thegrandson was basically to have a screening and then set up appointments for whatever was deemed necessary. After two hours, the dentist comes out and starts explaining the care we have to give, for the tooth that was pulled. That was a shocker. It appears that a back molar was abscessed which called for an immediate extraction. Thegrandson never once complained of any pain whatsoever - and we had no idea about that problem. So everything turned out well and we have to return on July 8th I believe.

So now we are on our way back home at 3:40pm. Leaving this facility is a breeze, take 315N to I70E and it's a straight shot home, except...every trip we have made, there has ALWAYS been a major accident on the east side of downtown on I70. This was no different. We were stalled in traffic for almost a half hour. I took my camera this morning, thinking I might find something to photograph - now we have an accident. Yes, I did get pictures, but I forgot I gave my son the card reader for this particular camera - and now cannot download them. Grrr. This was a serious three car accident, 6 ambulances, 2 firetrucks and 5 police cars. As we got close, thedaughter took a couple of pictures - but as soon as I saw the small children being tended to - the camera was turned off and I was heartbroken. I'm not one to photograph lurid or morbid pictures. That would be insensitive.

The entire two hour drive home (after stopping and getting my Big Boy sandwiches) was crazier than hell. All the lunatic drivers were out in full force and now I have the Queen of Road Rage driving, as the accident had me upset. I contemplated finding a drug dealer for something...anything!!

We arrived home at 7:15pm and to be honest, I am wiped out. It is now 9 pm and I'm getting a shower and crashing for the night. So I will check you all out tomorrow. It appears the internet has been repaired and I can access my faves again - Hooray.

Have a lovely and great Memorial Day Holiday all. Later.............

I TRIED TO BE OBJECTIVE....

...but sometimes that becomes nearly impossible. I listened to Pres. Obama's speech this morning, and as usual I agree with him at least 98% of the time if not totally. The electorate voted for "change" in November, and that is what we expect to be forthcoming. There is no doubt in my mind that Obama has found some of his promises may be very hard to keep - face it, there is always going to be opposition - unfortunately he is facing an opponent with NO BRAIN. That would be the rethugs and their new pseudo leader Dickless Cheney.

What an amazing coincidence that Cheney at his local think tank, decided to make his speech directly after Pres. Obama's. No matter...from the "git-go" Cheney appeared to me, to give such vivid retrospect to past events (9/11 and such), and also the impression that he and Dubya were the saviors of our country. And of course, lest we forget, Americans are safer today because of the "enhanced interrogation" techniques employed - and take Dick's word for it - it WAS NOT TORTURE. But he ignores the masses of those who dare to differ. His explanation at one point was something like..."with thousands of lives in the balance, it didn't make sense to let high value detainees answer questions in their own good time." All righty then, and in seven years since 9/11 - there were only 3 prosecutions out of how many hundred? If the waterboarding worked so well, there should have been volumes of indictable and prosecutable charges. Nope, I haven't heard of any either.

Why would/should Dick Cheney be afforded any credence - when he, as someone so eloquently stated, "wrapped himself in the American flag, with the Constitution in shreds at his feet." The man is a neo-con, war-mongering asshole. He's going to stick to his guns - even if it means someone gets shot in the face.

There were parts of this speech that had him imploring to the masses that even considering criminal charges against Dubya's administration would be tantamount to opening the door to another attack.

And another thing...I cannot remember the last VP who did not just go quietly into the background and lay low, at least for a minimum amount of time - like two years for Gore. It was two years before Gore gave even one opinion regarding anything political. Cheney's job is to go away - forever. Call me Dick, I will spell it out for you in terms you may understand, got that, yes, call me!!!

I will be in Columbus most of the day tomorrow, so I won't get around to posting till evening. I know you are broken hearted but please try and hold it together.

Later..............

OK - WHO BROKE THE INTERNET???

I am having trouble - well actually not trouble - but then again it is trouble - I just can't access some of my favorite blogs. I keep getting messages about Internet Explorer has regurgitated my request and spat it back in my lap.

Liberality, Re-Ramblings an That's Why (Lisa) are three of my favorites...so if you get here, I am not ignoring you - I just pissed off the Internet!

KO - KO'S THE RUSH.....I HEART THIS.....

In my very humble opinion...I think KO did superbly in trashing Rush Limpdick and his ego-maniacal propostiion. He covered all the bases - and where the f**k does that fat fukktard get off thinking he is the end all be all of commentary? I for one, would love to see the "numbers" after 30 days of ignoring the junkie!

I wish I got MSNBC and I could enjoy KO's entire show. Alas, I am stuck with the clips I can garner online. Someday, when our cable system realizes there are actually some great channels out there to offer us (tight asses) - or sells out to the monopoly giant mega cable company - I may get to view MSNBC in its entirety.

Off to tan - then laundry, vacuuming, dusting and baseball at 5:30pm. I may get the opportunity to return and post some more gibberish in between all the mundane tasks.

BTW...thegrandson has a smile from ear to ear because of all the nice comments here and on facebook. Thank you all.

GLEN BECK HAS ASS HANDED TO HIM.....

GO WHOOPIE..GO WHOOPIE!! Glen Beck got his ass handed to him...and rightfully so!! I missed this today, so I'm just now relishing this moment. If Joy Behar had let loose on him, we may have actually seen blood!

THEGRANDSON'S SINGING DEBUT...AHHHHH!!!

I know this may seem trivial to most, but thegrandson had his Spring program at school today, and I think he did a wonderful job here. He is Aladdin (in blue) and he nailed it almost perfectly. So Uncle Zac...you can be proud of him!

These kids worked their butts off for their Disney performances. We had to take the dog down for her rabies shots and it is fukking HOT!! Almost 7:30pm and I am starved...so we are going to eat and possibly I may return. Bear with me.

WORSE, WORSER, WORSEST!!! LOVE IT!

KO hits the nail on the head AGAIN!! I do love the man. And are we ever going to get to see Hannity WATERBOARDED????

I'm going to go and contribute to expelling some CO2 now - maybe a belch or release some of this flatulence - so I can be PC!

With all the end of the year school activities, I apologize for the lackadaisical posts. I might have a video of thegrandsons singing debut later. Love him to pieces. So don't abandon ship yet, I shall returns.....later.....

VENTURA VS. HANNITY = SMACKDOWN!!! VENTURA WINS!

I refuse to watch Sean Hannity for the reasons that Jesse Ventura spells out quite well in this video. Because Hannity bullies and speaks over anyone who is not of his belief. I just watched this over at Huff and think Ventura beat Hannity's ass quite well.

Thegrandson LOVED his new computer and is taking good care also. Thedaughter got on hers after she returned from work last night. I had all the essential programs downloaded and ready for them to "jump in." Thegrandson couldn't wait to send his OWN e-mail to his uncle, thanking him for the puter.

Have to run and do some laundry and a little (very little) cleaning. So...later......

JESSE VENTURA WAS SUPERB ON THE VIEW...WATCH!!

Anytime someone can give it right back to Hasselbeck, I applaud them. This was today's show.

Hasselbeck keeps championing the waterboarding, or as she states (and the rethugs) "enhanced interrogation", and finally someone puts her in her place - not that she will cave or anything, but the bimbo had to squirm a little bit today.

Jesse Ventura makes so many great points. As for Pelosi, I couldn't care less if she lied. I truly do not remember dates of things that were said from seven years ago. I am sure she will have to search for any transcripts or notes from said meeting. But, as Ventura states - that's not the point. The rethugs are so desperate - they just try to change the topic away from their own uselessness.

I was tickled nonetheless. Later guys. Thegrandson came home and was so surprised to see the computer - and I had everything downloaded for him - he couldn't wait to send an email to his Uncle - thanking him.

Later guys.......have to hit some blogs now............

I HAVE THE "BEST" SON IN THE WORLD....BELIEVE ME!!!

A couple of weeks ago, theson mentioned to me that he had purchased laptops - one for thegrandson and one for thedaughter. There were a few hitches in the ordering process (isn't there always), and after I contacted the company from here, the order was processed. Since theson is out of the country, there always seems to be glitches, as I'm sure some of the transactions are suspect - out of country IP - American citizen - credit card transaction - red flags all the time. Usually, the situations are corrected quickly though.

Anyway, he sent me an e-mail this morning that the laptops were to be delivered today, and right after reading the email - the doorbell rang and the UPS guy had a silly grin on his face. **We always say that our address is punched in to FedEx and UPS, as theson orders regularly.

Here they are. they were supposed to be the same, but as you can see, one has a touchpad, the other just a "tit." So the one with the touchpad is going to thegrandson, and I am downloading his programs, as I type. He will be sooooooo surprised when he gets home from school. I'm going to have it on and ready for him.

He is surprisingly adept at the computer. He knows if I need to find something for him I use "Google." To the point, that now - he tells me to google everything. There are controls installed to ensure he doesn't download porn or order sex toys - so we are good.

Theson has stated the rules: If one would break, that individual will bear their own suffering. They cannot take over the other computer. Actually, both are very good at taking care of the electronics.

I shall return later, as I have to tend to the "downloading" of an anti-virus and such.

THANKS SON!!! I KNOW BOTH CARRIE AND COLTON LOVE YA!!

EXCELLENT MOVIE...WATCHED IT TWICE ALREADY!!!

When the previews started airing for this movie, I have to say, they were compelling. I love drama and action movies. This movie has all that, plus the star is Liam Neeson. He is a versatile actor and everything I have seen to date, be it the period pieces or the dramas - I love them all.

As parents, we know in our hearts that we would do anything for our children and their safety is of primary importance. Neeson's character is, by his own definition, a retired "preventor." He is referring to his former work for the government, which his daughter is totally unaware.

I won't go into detail, but if you love action and drama...this is a great movie. I won't mention that I saw this on a pirated DVD before it was released. Now I will have to buy a "good" copy.

*************************
Thedaughter is getting excited over a vacation at the beach, and was counting days last night...we are leaving in 22 days for Ocean City, Md.

She has to plot everything is seems. So far she has a folder full of data, clothing lists, hotel information, mapquest and on and on. I have at least 8 swimsuits, and thedaughter only has 2...poor baby. A real adventure would be if I wore my suit like this crazy lady. What a revolting thought!

I feel some guilt, as thedaughter has not had a real vacation since she was in grade school. There was just no extra money for vacations after our last family vacation. So this is a thrill for her, and thegrandson will get to see the ocean and play in the sand.

The drive time is just under eight hours, which will be nice as we can share driving duties. The last time (so many years ago), I drove the entire eight hours, as my husband was working in Delaware at the time, and he drove down to meet us there. Which reminds me, I have to find some form of a lumbar support for the car - as my back suffers miserably after any long periods in the car. I have always had cars with built in lumbar supports, but I overlooked that accessory when I purchased this vehicle. Duh!!!

Now for another change of topic...Newt Gingrich. the lying, wife cheating former Speaker of the House. Now it appears he wants to have Pelosi censured, which would mean she would forfeit her position as SOH. Is anyone else amazed, how the former rethugs, who have been ousted from office - still manage to have a voice (thanks to Faux News) in political matters - as if we, the intelligent would believe those who LIED and were caught in those lies. I just want to pull what little hairs are left in my head - out!

Have a great Sunday. I have to print off a birthday card for the grandson to give his friend at a party this afternoon. I'm a real cheapo - he will color the card and put his sentiments on as well. Considering cards just get thrown away - this is much more economical, for this tight ass.

Later.................

ANOTHER SUNDAY MEME......

Another meme that has been waiting in the wings. I have stolen it from Sunday Stealing, so feel free to steal from me, as they stole it from someone else and so on.

1. How did you come up with your blog title OR what does it mean? I was warned by theson to avoid the words rant or rave in a blog title so I had some thinking to do. I enjoy other peoples opinions and their expressions of opinions - which is the definition of aphorisms - so that would make me an "aphorist" and I am "attentive."

2. What are your general goals for blogging? Primarily to glean information or other views from people in bloggyland.

3. Do people “in your real life” know that you blog and do they comment on your blog OR is it largely anonymous? How often do you post (x per week)? Some people in my "real" life know of the blog, but most of them are not computer savvy - so more or less I remain anonymous locally. On average I do post at least once a day, but if I am on a roll it could be up to 3 or 4.

4. How often do you read other blogs (x per week)? I have Google Reader which makes reading all the blogs I follow (w/ Google) much easier. Some who use Word Press or do not have the Google Follower app - I have to look up individually. I try to get to all every day - but there are over 90 that I follow.

5. How do you select blogs to read (do you prefer blogs that focus on certain topics or do you choose by tone or…?) Admittedly, I follow quite liberal bloggers. there are several that make me feel like part of their family or life. I LOVE all my blog friends. Political blogs also grab my attention.

6. Do you have any plans to copy your blog entries in any other format, 0r do you think that one day, you’ll just delete it all? That is something I never gave any thought to...but I will probably just let them disappear into the netherworld of dead blogs. I have no clue.

7. What are the things you like best about blogging? It gives me a forum to spout off when I see fit. When I can't get my point across here in the home the web gives me some sense of anonymity - all by my design.

8. What are the things you don’t like about blogging? The trolls. those who feel it is their job in life to make a mean, hateful comment. If the "anonymous" of the blog world were nice, that would be fine, but there are THOSE!!

9. How do you handle comments? When I have the time, I answer some of the comments, but most of the time, I get distracted and cannot comment on the comments. But I do appreciate each and every one and hope people realize that.

10. Do you have any burning thoughts to share on blog etiquette? Not at the moment.

11. Any desired blog features? Not really, current events manage to keep me well occupied.

12. Have you suffered blog addiction? Do not, I repeat, do not ask this question of thedaughter or thegrandson. Yes, it is a constant in my life. When I go on vacation, I will take this laptop with me and still make a daily entry. So there.
