MAINE'S REPEAL OF SAME-SEX MARRIAGE LAW.....

SUCKS BALLS....BIG TIME!!! I have to allow for Democracy to work, and let the votes count, in all fairness. But much like Prop 8 in California, the outside influences on these elections comes into question. I have faith that with time, ALL states will recognize gay marriages and "heteros" will get on with their own so-so lives.

Actually I wasn't even going to post about this FAIL in Maine, but when perusing the "comments" section, I ran across this....hold on to your hats, it's a doozey!!

"The only problem I have with repealing gay marriage is that it propagates gayness. Let me explain. Homos claim they are born being gay, so that means it is genetic, and heritable. In biological terms homo genes are a defect, an evolutionary dead end. If we discourage gayness, then homos are more likely to marry hetero and breed and pass on their homo genes. Well, if we encourage gayness, people with the homo genes will be more likely to stick with other homos and less likely to breed and pass on their defective homo genes. If we encourage gayness, evolution will naturally eliminate the defective gay genes from the population and then the gay epidemic problem in this country will be much smaller. Just by being homos, homos will eliminate themselves. I say by all means we should encourage them to eliminate themselves. "

Now, for anyone who may have had doubts about the "GAY GENE", this pretty well sums it up, or NOT!! The ignorance abounds in this country and this dumb ass isn't afraid of putting their stupid thoughts in writing.

What are these homophobes afraid of? The so-called Religious Right, is so wrapped up in their own selfish agenda, they have no room in their minds for love and fairness for their fellow man. The concept of free-thinking is foreign in their world. At one time I was amazed that these people could be so easily influenced by lies and distortions of fact - but now it has become commonplace. We see it daily with the influence that FAUX NOISE has on the brain dead.

Well the GOP is managing to carry the banner of OBSTRUCTIONISM rather well. The fact is, since Obama took office, the GOP has blocked and stalled important legislation for the working man. This is all for publicity sake, no doubt. There are thousands of unemployed who have exhausted their benefits, and the rethugs have manipulated the legislative process to keep this bill on hold.

I should hope that those who are now without any income, realize who is to blame in this mess. The democrats caved and allowed for additional tax cuts within this bill to appease these fukktards - and they still want to drag their feet. My heart breaks, thinking of these people, and their dread facing the upcoming holidays. The Congress and Senate people will be shopping and spending time with their families - while these many, may be facing foreclosure, homelessness and yes, possibly suicide.

Yes, they are obstructionists in every sense of the word. Obama has tried reasoning and bipartisanship...but who are the ones unwilling to reach across the aisle here? We know that answer well.

I watched (and became nauseous) John Boehner on John King's CNN show last Sunday, and I became really irate hearing repeatedly - "we know what is best for the people." Since when has the republican asswipes known what is good for the country? They managed to keep an alcoholic, mentally deficient man in the WH for eight years and allowed him to rip the Constitution to shreds - but they (the party of NO) know what is best for all. That would include turning a blind eye on the economy also. It would also include sending countless young Americans to fight and die in an unneccessary war - based on lies and ignorance. So Boehner, as an Ohioian - I'm ashamed that you represent my state - and if you choose to fall off the face of the earth and take your lies and bullshit with you - I'M GOOD WITH THAT!!

As for the EIGHT bills Boehner says the GOP has on health reform....fuggedaboutit!! For all the show and pretense of these morons...it is a rip-off on pre-existing conditions. The people would be short changed miserably, but the insurance companies would still be free to reap their massive profits AT YOUR EXPENSE!

ONE YEAR AGO TODAY, WE ELECTED BARACK OBAMA AS PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES.

I believe he has had an uphill battle these past 10 months (since inauguration), but has remained non-plussed and dedicated. Am I 100% happy with everything - NO! But that is democracy. No one will ever be truly happy with every decision made, but I would say I am 90% satisfied. I believe he has to get more firm in his stances and quit trying to appease the unappeasable.

One more thing, because I keep forgetting to post this thought....Michelle Bachmann!! She is "organizing" a health reform protest tomorrow in D.C. and wants all the protesters to "walk the halls of Congress" and look each representative in the eye and tell them they don't want this plan. And dumb fuck Hannity wants to be there to see "democracy at work in the U.S."

This could be interesting - seeing if D.C. security has the guts to allow thousands (cough) get through security and then just "walk the halls." All it takes is one of the whackos to slip a gun through security (not totally unimaginable) and go postal in the House of Congress. This just boggles the mind.

As for Bachmann - since she has perpetuated her thoughts of NOT filling out the census forms in April - I say to everyone in her district - PLEASE FOLLOW HER LEAD - DO NOT FILE YOUR CENSUS FORMS! that's one sure way to eliminate her district and her job! OMG that would be terrific.

OK, I've bored you enough with my blathering....I am sneezing like crazy and have a snot filled head (sorry for the visual), and thegrandson now has a massive ear infection and still home from school. I have been told I am not high risk enough for the H1N1 shot - which is no problem, because there isn't any vaccines here at the moment. So if I die - just throw my body in the nearest pig sty!!!
Later..............................................

(hmmm. spell check doesn't recognize "asswipes.") I'm shocked. LOL

ALL MARITAL UNIONS MUST BE ABOLISHED!!!

I do believe this video is going viral!!! I stole it from Grandpa Eddie, and it is now posted at True Blue Texan, and Riot Kitty. Let's pass it around and on and on and on!!!

Considering the masses of conservative religious wingnuts who feel they alone have the power to "define" marriage - good point here.....abolish them all!

WHAT A GREAT VIDEO....THANK YA VERY MUCH..OR....

H/T to yellowdog granny for steering me to this video. With more and more states clearing the way for gay marriages - I see the tide turning slowly - but quicker than in the past.

Have a great evening - we are considering building an ARK here!!! Later.........

GAY MARRIAGE - WRONG ANSWER!!! DUH?!?!?

I honestly have not watched one of these pageant shows in quite awhile. But since there was little else to choose on the boob tube last night, I started watching this idiotic parade of fluff minded women.

I was impressed that Miss West Virginia made it as far as the Top 10 - as WV hasn't been all that lucky in past years.

After the final 5 were announced, they were asked the most mundane idiotic questions imaginable. Thedaughter and I looked at each other, wondering why these questions had no substance. We soon realized those were just teaser questions, and the next round would be some serious questions posed by the various judges.

Whether one likes Perez Hilton or not, his question was a valid one. If you missed it - here we go:

You can see Perez shaking his head at this answer, which truly was NO answer at all. True to pageant "key words", she managed to twist everything around. What's with "in MY country?" And then she adds "opposite marriage". What a bimbo. Do pageant officials tell these girls - you are not allowed to have any liberal or progressive thoughts - least to verbalize them to the world? I managed to scream a few expletives - and start a "please don't let the moron win" dance.

Here is Perez Hilton's response:

So now we at least have the satisfaction that the "dumb bitch" didn't win, unfortunately she did garner 1st place - UGH!!!

The happiest day for me will be when all 50 states decide to allow gay marriages, and the benefits shared by hetero couples.

CALIFORNIA'S PROP 8!!! MORMON MORONS!

Apparently, there was a mass infusion of millions of dollars, from the Mormon church and other religious outlets - to put forth a massive ad campaign to take away the "rights of the gay" community in California. Their money evidently was well spent, but to what end? To say because of their "religious" beliefs, they are the appointed judges of what constitutes "marriage!"

I don't think there is a doubt in any one's mind of my liberality...but this has to end. A select group of self-righteous right-wingnuts - determining what constitutes "marriage." There are those who will use the Bible as total gospel on defining "marriage." Now, I have a very hard time with that. I am an agnostic and I have a hard time rationalizing anything that relates to a BOOK.

Without getting into all that "stuff", I feel that it is not my place to judge anyone - nor is there an inherent right of others to judge me. We should all be on equal footing here.

For the most part, none of us knows what goes on behind closed doors - and that's the way it should stay. (Unless you know someone is being physically abused or illicit drug deals being made.) I didn't care that Clinton got a BJ from Monica - that was his problem to work out with his wife. I know of many who have cheated on their spouses - again, their problem, not mine.

The general consensus of some of these anti gay groups is the influence that these relationships have on children. Well, excuse me, I wonder what the demographics are for dysfunctional marriages, involving children? Theories abound as to what can happen to children in gay relationships - none have been proven out that I am aware of. I do know "families" such as this - and the children are as "normal" as anyone else.

California seems to have more "Props" on their ballots than any other state. Seems to me no decisions can ever be made there other than by referendum. At this point in time - because this Prop 8 passed, the only recourse would be to take this to the Supreme Court. Considering the law was already tested in the California Supreme Court, allowing legal gay marriages - there should be an en masse convoy straight to the United States Supreme Court. Last I heard these people have specific civil rights - and they cannot be discriminated against.

Love is a wonderful emotion - I don't feel that it is up to anyone to condemn any relationship - be it gay or straight. Again - my job is not to judge.

I don't feel threatened by anyone gay, I actually think the love they carry is sometimes stronger than with a hetero couple. Now I have nothing to base that on - other than an observation of some long, loving relationships - of friends of mine.

My one wish is - ALL religious fanatics that are so bent out of shape about this issue - go home and take stock in what is truly important to you and your family - under your roof. The funny part is, a good many of these homophobes deal with gay people on a regular basis and will never know. We are all humans with different appetites, proclivities, occupations, color - you name it, treat each other equally and practice that "love" you espouse so loudly.

After I uncrossed my eyes and.....

regained my composure, I thought I would pass on this comical Prop 8 commercial.

I noticed that all the "characters" speaking out are YOUNG. So I assume they have been spoon fed all the anti-Gay information and BULLSHIT!!! I wonder if Californians such as these, realize how lucky they are that I live in Ohio and can't reach out to strangle them????? When I hear garbage such as this, I admit, I go ballistic.

Please, I want them to honestly tell me if they believe the garbage they are shoveling out. Of course they do.

Lame brain comments I heard from video:
  • Gar Nai: "There's a whole bunch of consequences!" OK, now tell me how they affect you personally - like maybe churches could be "forced" to have same-sex marriages? Don't go to that church idiot.
  • Daniel: "Legal defenses based on religious freedoms are less likely to succeed." Got ya - you are a blooming idiot. If a gay marriage is deemed legal - your assertion would mean what???
  • Female: "Religious adoption agencies" might have to give babies to gays, or stop giving away babies altogether." Alrighty then, I say keep your Catholic babies and don't give them to gay couples - now whose the loser here?
  • Adam: "The change of the legal definition of marriage could narrow personal liberties - and some of them even lost!" (This was a law student). I guess he missed the course where private business owners can turn away business as they choose.
  • Alissa: "It's really about giving control, forcing all of us to give up the very foundation of speech and religious freedoms on which this country was founded." DUH!?!?! Tell me how gay marriage impedes our freedom of speech...how does it impede our religious freedom? Now who would be the bigot here??
  • Jenny Lynne: "Children would be taught about marriage between party A and party B!" And your point is?????? Take it for what it's worth fuktard! You do what you want with whom you want and when you want - and let everyone else do the same! **taking a pill now!

To think we're all born the same and worship/believe the same is so lame. I hate (and that is a word I truly detest) the intolerant. If every one's lifestyle impacted each other - maybe there would be a problem. I choose to applaud those who shy away from the beaten path and choose their own lifestyle. I have many gay friends, associates and relatives - all smart, talented individuals. All contribute to society in one form or another - and they are not pariahs. They all deserve the same benefits of a union that the "traditional" unions are guaranteed. My problem is those who feel they have the right to decide where these individuals fit in or not. Closed minded individuals at best.

My belief has always been that it is not my job to judge others and vice versa. Those that make those judgements - are not my friends.

These opposing signs were taken in Boston in 2004. There are way more important issues facing us in the world today - and in the grand scheme of things, I know where I stand....If I lived in California I would ...
