Sometimes it just "sucks to be........

John McCain!!!!"

At yesterdays meeting between key representatives and Pres. Obama, John McCain had to bring up the issue of the helicopter fleet, one for the President, designated Marine One. Maintaining his typical smug demeanor, he was attempting to put a "spin" on this issue, as if the entire concept was a brainstorm of the Democrats and Obama.

Apparently, McDementia, forgot that it was HIS president who put the order in for this new helicopter fleet - and Marine One - with an individual cost of $400 million. I guess since this order was made right after the 9/11 attacks - Bush figured he might need his ass flown far and away - to be safe! Or just plain old "get the hell out of town" if necessary.

I was not surprised at all, that Pres. Obama was neither flustered nor put off by the veiled accusation from McCrack!! He handled himself quite well - in stating that the helicopter at his disposal, "is more than adequate." Then jokingly added something to the effect, that he had never owned one before - maybe he had a deprived youth! Go Obama!!!

My new toy! It is a Pantech Matrix C740...now doesn't that just tell you everything you need to know? when the young man was showing me the phone and how to handle the features - I thought "I can do this!" Nope. I do believe that it may be smarter than me. I have managed to figure out how to take pictures and store them (same w/ video), and basically how to use the QWERTY keyboard feature. As far as the GPS, and all the fancy stuff - I'm not sure if I do learn how to utilize those features, that there will be additional monthly charges. My other phone took a fall - now I sound like theson - and didn't want to make calls anymore. No matter, I will have to figure it out - since I have renewed my contract for the next two years. If I had good enough reception in the home - I would do away with the "land line", but that is not the case. We shall see who wins this battle - me or technology!

I shall return later, as I still have returns to work on. I have a solid six hours in today - maybe I will stop after 9 or so. Later..................

So what...Valentine's Smalentines...

Now that sounds just dreadful, doesn't it? Well, it's not like I have anyone sending me flowers, just to die at the ends of my black thumbs. I am not a big fan of chocolates either, although my body shape says otherwise. So what's left? A day full of completing tax returns - that's what. That sounds rather cold-hearted, wouldn't you agree?

Trust me though, I am not complaining, as this holiday is definitely for the commercial markets. I did have a good friend bring me a cheesecake and a Valentine's wish yesterday, with his girlfriend in tow. Curses, she always has to tag along - that's my sort of luck.

All the clients who "picked up" their returns today, were exclaiming about their wonderful dinner plans or gifts they received, to which I graciously smiled and respond "that's so nice." It's 8:15 pm and I don't think I have to say that again till next year. Whew!!!

Enough of all that crap. I was tickled to see that the House and the Senate both passed the stimulus package yesterday. I say enough of trying the bipartisanship garbage. When the repukes had the majority, they crammed more garbage through the legislature than chickens through the bread pan. So I say "stick it to 'em!"

I, as well as a majority of the people, am not 100% happy with this package - but that would be a pipe dream to think that would happen. Have you ever tried to get everyone to agree with anything 100%? I doubt it, because there is always going to be differing views on EVERYTHING. Considering the huge clusterfuck that exists - the package has the potential to re-organize and begin anew.

I do love how there will still be a cap on all top executives and the highest paid employees at all 359 banks that have received government aid. Granted it is not the $500K that Obama had asked for but it limits to 1/3 of their annual pay and has to be in the form of stock. Stock which cannot be redeemed till all government monies have been paid back. Utilizing the better mouse trap theory - I am sure these CEO's have figured out a way to get around this - such as basically raising the base salaries. DUH!?!?! But all this wording was to concede to the "other side of the aisle" - bullshit.

A chief lobbyist for the nation's financial services stated "this is a big deal. This is a problem - it undermines the current incentive structure." If I get this guys address we may have to deal with his idiocy. It is just that incentive structure that has enabled the theft from many hard working individuals in this country. This lobbyist says that most executives will just leave their companies and go to foreign banks or to those NOT receiving government funds. Let them go - I couldn't care less.

Another interesting tidbit - as I read on the Huffington Post - poor, poor George W. Bush is having a very hard time raising money for his Memorial library. He is actually going to make a plea to his "fan" base for donations. I don't want to have to beg here - but if one of you sends a dime - I will arrange to have your fingers broken. Doesn't that sound vicious?

***********************
I have done just about all I can today, the tax returns, a load of wash, dishes washed, babysitting the grandson - now I am headed in for a super HOT bath and just soak. If I'm lucky, hopefully I can get thegrandson to crash early tonight. (That would be by 9:30 pm). I'm worn out and getting a headache so - hopefully I will have something better to write about tomorrow.

Oh, after several 50 - 60 degree days, we have snow all day today (not sticking), but still cold again...grrrrrrr. I wish Spring were here - I'm ready to get the sandals out again.

Have a great evening and Sunday. Happy Valentine's Day to all - and I really do mean that!

GOOD GRIEF...give me a break......

The nitpicking has begun and now I am pissed....again. Former Bush chief of staff, Andy Card, is bitching to the media that Obama has a "locker room mentality", in his laid back approach to the Oval office. Reading here, just makes me want to smack someone "upside da head!"

In saying that Obama shows a complete lack of respect for the Office of President and the Oval office - I find stupid if not moronic.

OK, Bush made a rule, that suits and ties were to be worn at all times in the Oval office, big whoop - now explain to me how, what a person may be wearing will affect any decisions being made in one particular "office."

In my humble opinion, President Obama makes a much better connection with "the people" in his down to earth appearance and demeanor. I also have not seen anything phony in this representation.

I have never been a fan of seeing a man with a chokingly tight collar and tie. Now throw in unbearably hot weather - and I see a man in a business suit and tie - I want to say "go home and get your polo shirt on and chill."

I care more for what a person has to say and contribute than what "they are wearing." Men have much fewer options in "dressing up" than a woman. A suit, is a suit, is a suit - only the color changes. How boring is that? Whereas, a woman has a variety of styles and colors to choose from.

Nope, nope, nope...I am quite happy with Obama's approach - in his office, to the people and his family. He has quashed the "Hail to the Chief" being played at every drop of the hat, and his press conference began with no announcement such as "Ladies and gentlemen, the POTUS!"

Michelle Obama has also announced to the household staff that they need not dress so fancy 24/7. She even said there may be times when she would like the staff to join her and the girls for a movie. I say, SUPER.

We are not a monarchy - and I believe that the Obama's would like to keep some normalcy in their lives and remain just "people." How cool is that? Of course, I understand that the blue-nosed, Washington snobs are all in a tizzy over these "acts of defiance" but my message to them....GET OVER IT!!!

Is Obama going to show up in grunge wear...I think not. But I definitely believe business casual may become more common over the next four eight years.

Just a thought here...I also believe a man may think more clearly when blood flow to the brain is unrestricted by a damn TIE.

Okie dokie...enough for tonight. My neighbor has erected a huge STEELER NATION sign in their yard for tomorrow, and hopes to get a picture with as many supporters as possible. So I will definitely be trudging through the snow to be captured for posterity.

I must get a good nights rest for tomorrows events. Take care and I'll be back later................

Give me a break.........

After making my usual morning rounds of the blogs and news sites...I run into an article on Huffington Post - that Fox News was the ONLY news channel to cover George Bush's return to Midland, Texas. For Pete's sake, what part of Obama is the New President, do they not understand???? It's called "OUT with the old and IN with the new!"

In my pea size brain, I guess that Faux News, cannot understand how to just "let it go." I see no valid reason to denigrate the other new agencies, for covering what they deem to be newsworthy - while they (Faux) set themselves on a higher plane. I would assume that they just feel the need to cater to the repukes who fund their operations.

My day has been brightened by this piece on Politico.com. Just the line referring to the Bush Administration and their "unconscionable ineptitude", in dealing with Hurricane Katrina - made my day. We know what a clusterfuck that turned out to be..."you're doing a helluva job Brownie!" Argh............. And Bushie saying that he is proud of the efforts to get 30,000 people off rooftops, is a glowing moment for him. ***hitting myself in the head now!

There's two striking points to my morning. I have to get some laundry done and head to the store, before I leave tomorrow morning for Boston. I am leaving my laptop at home, so this site may be dark for a few days. There is a possibility I can blog from up north...once I figure out her Mac - they sometimes let me check my email and stuff. But I would imagine I will save it all for one big blog on my return. I will return later today.

Later.............

Cynic that I am....

WTF?!?!? Supposedly, Cheney injured his back while "moving" boxes into his McLean, Virginia home the other day. That's one big load of crap. C'mon now...he is worth millions, and has the WH staff at his beck and call (all before exiting today), and there is absolutely no reason why this jerk would even be lifting boxes.

Now, in my cynical way of thinking, if he indeed, did injure his back "moving those damn boxes", I am making a wild guess that said boxes probably contained "personal" papers, he was taking home to SHRED!!! Thus, the reason for the personal touch. Bush and Cheney have both been ordered by the courts to produce all these phone records and e-mails - but how much do you want to bet - they will never appear?!?!?!
One call to his Haliburton buddies, and slate wiped clean!

Is this not a GREAT picture??? Barack, Michelle, Jill and Joe waving "tata" to the Bushes. I thought I would never live for this day - and this picture alone, sums up my feelings quite well. "Scoot, scram, vamoose, get the hell out of here!" Woohoo, I'm ecstatic.

OK, this is my last sound-off of the day. There will be more tomorrow, of that I am sure. So, till then...Later.............

A Night of Farewells...Bush or Grissom?!?!?!?!

OK already!!!! Fix your umbrella and fly away. Are you still a competitive fuck who has to run up against Gil Grissom leaving C.S.I. tonight???? Give me a break. If a poll were taken across the country right this minute, even those who do not watch this show would prefer to say good-bye to Grissom before the D. C. Idiot!!!! The press conference the other day should have told everyone that!

Since the village idiot could not even get enough press correspondents to fill the room to hear his meanderings - what makes him think the rest of America wishes to have their Thursday night viewing interrupted for more bullshit???

Now, William Petersen, who portrays Gil Grissom on C.S.I., has even been at his job longer than Dubya. He has bested him by one year...and would it not be for his personal decision to leave the show...he could be there nine more! At least he is liked by the people (unlike the Prez), and will definitely be missed a great deal more.

I actually feel like we may know Grissom so much better than Dubya as there was transparency of sorts to his character (and sometimes elusive). We lived through the tragedies, the loves, the passion and grief in his life...but as shows go - he must move on. There is an upside though...he has stated he will return upon occasion to the show. Please, if there is a God...do not let Bush return to the nightmare movie he made us live through!!! Here I am - I'm begging!

Enough of my commiserating...I shall get through this, I will avoid TV until 8:15 pm and hope and pray that the puke is finally off the airs (that would be the Bush one)! We will see if I survive this. That is my humor of the moment. So, everyone try to stay warm and I will return.....later......

Nine Loooooong days....and then.....

what will happen? I don't have the answers, but I do know how pissed this current regime has made me.

Fellow blogger Utah Savage, a much better writer, wrote here about the insult to the Obama's, by being turned away from Blair House before the Inauguration. I have brewed incessantly over this snub, and in a perfect world I could head to D.C. and kick someones ass for their stupidity.

Blair House (directly across Pennsylvania Ave., from White House) has been more or less booked at the behest of the Office of Protocol, for quite a few years. Tradition has deemed it the temporary quarters for "President's Elect" to hunker down before the Inaugural ceremonies begin.

In December, Barack Obama made his request to relocate there by the first of January, as his girls would be starting school and accessibility/convenience was the call of the moment. He was immediately denied...and told that the facility was booked. It now appears that when that request/denial was issued...there were NO bookings. The arrangements made for former Australian Prime Minister John Howard was made days later...and for only ONE night (the 12th)!!!

Bullshit and rhetoric cannot change the facts of this situation and more people should be mad as hell, that a future President of the United States could be snubbed and insulted in such a manner. To my way of thinking, it is not shocking coming from this Administration. The Administration that made all kinds of accusations about the "W"'s being removed from all computers, items stolen, blah-blah-blah, when they came into office in 2000. Fukktards!

The Obama's have taken the high road on this issue, leaving all the griping to me and Utah I guess - kudos to them! The Obama's will be moving into the Blair House on the 15th now - and I should certainly hope they are treated very well.

Now, back to PM John Howard...he, as well as former British PM Tony Blair, and Colombian President Alvaro Uribe, are all being given the Presidential Medal of Freedom on January 13th. These individuals have been referred to as the "Coalition of the Willing", for backing Bush on the Iraqi invasion...thusly, now being considered worthy of receiving this medal.

The Presidential Medal of Freedom, the nation's highest civilian award recognizes exceptional meritorious service, was established by Pres. Truman in 1945 - to recognize notable service in the war. Kennedy reintroduced it as an honor for the distinguished civilian service in peacetime.

I'm well aware of some of the past recipients of this medal, but have a bitterly hard time with this cadre receiving it on the 13th!! These men are gaining a very prestigious medal, for taking us into a war based on LIES, and seeing thousands of young lives lost in the process. Again, Bush reinforcing HIS legacy (in his own mind), no matter how ludicrous. I, in no way see how going to war in Iraq has made us safer...period!! Granted Homeland Security was established, in order to block 3 year olds with a name on a "no fly" list from ever boarding an airplane. A new government agency employing "wannabe cops", to take away all your rights, granted by our Constitution.

I do so love when people say, "look, we haven't been attacked since 9/11!" Hell yes, but WE WERE attacked on 9/11 - and your point would be what???? Give me a break. Enough of this for now, I may pop a blood vessel.

*****************************
Our local area was issued a "Winter Weather Warning" yesterday, to last from last night till late tonight....we were supposed to get 6-9" of snow. So you can imagine the run on the grocery stores and such. Again, as usual.....WRONG!!!! Maybe we got an inch of white stuff and some icy/rain today - but nada! I've said it before, apparently the criteria to be a meteorologist is minimal. Hell, I can read jet streams and satellite maps - I'm better trusting my own judgement.
*****************************
Well, NFL games (play-offs) have started, and right now Baltimore and Tennessee are battling it out. Tomorrow causes me some grief though. My Steelers play at 4:45 pm, and "24" also has a 2 hour premiere at 8 pm. My fingers may be quite sore from channel surfing.
Have a great evening all and I shall return.....later.......................

I love hearing from INTELLECTUALS....

it sometimes is rather uplifting and definitely eye opening. We, the ones I consider well informed and intelligent in this blogosphere, seem to have a grasp on reality that those in control (or think they are in control) are lacking.

Here are two men, Larry Flynt and Joe Francis, presumably considered authorities on porn, for lack of a better title - applying to our government for a Federal Bailout for their industry. Both of these men have pedigrees less than desirable (in my humble opinion), and for some perverse (excuse the pun) reason, feel that the porn industry is high up on the needs list for salvation in this dying economy.

I wonder if they penciled in a lunch date together to come up with this moronic idea? I honestly have to say, I am uninformed as to the personal financial state of Mr. Flynt, but I am aware of the IRS liens and cases against Joe Francis. So, there is a pinhole area of my brain that sees a self serving issue here.

But I need to ask...how would funds possibly be administered in this area and with what checks and balances? The porn industry itself is nowhere near the brink of collapse as say the auto industry, the mortgage lending areas, investments, and generally all necessary areas of subsistence. Porn sales were up 50% in 2008, downloads to iPhone is going to be available soon....and I repeat...the industry will survive.

Just for shits and giggles, say the government gives this application credence (as I am boarding a boat or plane to another country), who would they put in charge? Mr. Flynt, who can no longer even give a coherent speech...Joe Francis, who will make everyone show their tits (females only please), only after checking appropriate ID's? And what sector of this industry is hurting the most? Health care side? Video distributing? Now, I know it can't be for the wonderful script writers!

There are way too many questions I would have and realistically, we all know that there is no place in the prioritization list for such a thought. So query me this...why would these two idiots even consider making such an insane, ludicrous request?

So, in all fairness, I would like some feedback on what you deem to be worthy of a federal bailout - no matter how insane. My first suggestion is:

BAILOUT FOR OPINIONATED YET INTELLIGENT BLOGGERS!

Ten days from tomorrow - a new administration will begin along with the hard work of the masses to seek improvement of the past 8 fucking years of nothingness. To those who may care...No, I have not felt any safer because of the Dumbo who will crawl into a hole somewhere in Texas, hopefully to never be seen again. Although I would much prefer to be able to locate him and his crony Cheney at any given point in time - in a Federal prison - for crimes against the U.S. But no, it is not a perfect world. So ponder this little post and I will return....later!!

"Just a friendly reminder (to all my female friends) to shave your crotch. January 20th is the last day for Bush!"

Happy Anniversary to me....woohoo!

I just realized that as of today I am starting into my 4th YEAR in the blogosphere!! WOOHOO. My very first pathetic posting was on December 28, 2005 - for me this is quite an accomplishment. I still hope I can get better at this venture, as I am far from "a writer", I more or less just blather on and on! I have a moderate amount of followers - I'm sure if I were a better person with words, that would be a larger figure, but I am a satisfied individual.

***********

Since a new administration will officially take office in THREE weeks, I needed to get this last grievance out - never to be spoken of again, I hope!

Now on to "current events." Just reading about Dick Cheney makes me want to puke, but reading this, brings on thoughts of a full blown stroke. The man is totally delusional and so obtuse. Not understanding why he is so unpopular just reeks of his distance from the populace.

Let's see now, he was the primary architect of a war against a sovereign country, based on deliberately fabricated intelligence. He then turns around and lies to the American people about the threat this country poses against the United States. He (and this administration) failed to complete the military actions started in Afghanistan - thus creating a massive debt based on two wars - which future generations will still be paying!

Cheney's personal assistant was involved in the outing of a United States secret intelligence agent, all in the name of political revenge.

Aha, now we can't forget the massive failures in dealing with Hurricane Katrina.

Cheney also, a huge proponent of torture of prisoners, which goes against the general beliefs and mores of the citizens of the U.S.

Cheney and this administration turned a blind eye to the sub-prime mortgage debacle, although the warning signs were evident...and now the major economic meltdown as a result.

In his quest to "expand" the privileges of the President and Vice-President, he and Bush have managed to violate Federal law and our Constitution.

And finally - if I hear "we haven't been attacked since 9/11" one more time - I will end up in prison. Wake up assholes - 9/11 happened on YOUR watch!! I take small issue with that statement, because since 9/11, we had the D.C. sniper, and anthrax poisonings - so I feel they constitute the classification of "attacks!"

I'm not holding my breath, but Cheney and Bush should be held accountable for their treasonous acts - even after office. This is something we will have to just wait and see about.

The only salvation for this outgoing administration would be - for the "revisionists" to work overtime in re-writing this history.

I feel better now, just having the opportunity to vent a wee tad. Of course, there are always other issues that keep me awake at times, but for now...I will rest.

Have a good one all and later............

The reason FAUX news sucks.....!!

It is not unknown of my distaste for Bill O'Reilly, and the punk Karl Rove is just a fart in the wind as far as I'm concerned. Crooks and thieves have very little place in my frame of mind. But listening to this piece, really pissed me off.

It appears that, through Faux News, a revisionist tactic is underway - and of course there are millions of people who believe all the pus that comes out of their mouths.

But, Rove states that the media never attacked Clinton when the stock market dropped "precipitously". I have gone back over the DJIA figures and cannot find a time where there was a "precipitous" drop in the market. As a normal course of events, there is always a fluctuation based on various reports, i.e., industry, pharmaceuticals, employment, etc. But the blatant facts are as follows:

1-20-93 Bill Clinton's first day, first term as POTUS, DJIA = 3,241
1-19-01 Bill Clinton's last day in office as POTUS, DJIA = 10,587

Fact: That's a 226% increase. As of today (an hour ago), the market has seen an overall drop of 16% in the two terms of Bush. That figure has been greater as when the DJIA dropped into the 7000 range.

When Clinton left office we had a $500 billion surplus and the National Debt was $5.5 trillion.

When Bush leaves (in 40 days) the surplus has turned into more than a $500 billion deficit and the National Debt has more than doubled to over $11 trillion.

When the figures are literally "out there", how these two morons can try to twist the state of the economy is unfathomable. I hear them saying (in my pea size brain), that everything is just rosy, and the liberal media is just trying to scare everyone, so that when Obama takes over - he will be credited with a "jump". Give me a break.

And we all know that LIBERAL is such a dirty word over at Faux!!! What idiots.

*************

How about "Joe the Plumber" ????? It appears he finally got pissed off at McCain - and considering he is such an informed idiot, and he has his finger on the pulse of the electorate...well Hell...maybe we should still be following the jerk. Excuse me, not in this lifetime!

It appears today must be a newsy day...now Obama is asking for the Illinois Governor to resign. Considering this man (the gov) has sunshine on him and is always lawful - I imagine he will have something ignorant to say now. I honestly believe this man may have some mental issues.

****************

Such a yucky, cloudy, rainy, depressing day. I just want to crawl under the covers and make it all go away. I think I may be headed for a depression, and I'm trying to ward it off. Taking a break now, so..Later......................

Query me this.....

the Bush Countdown Clock (to leaving office) and the Obama Clock (to Inauguration) have an hour's difference........will we be without a President for one entire hour????? Having no life at all, I just noticed this differential.

My guess, is one was calculated without taking into consideration the change from Daylight Savings Time....but I know I'm not the brightest bulb in the pack - so if anyone has an answer for me ..............just leave me a message.

Thank you ever so much. Little things like this have a tendency to push me over the edge - not a healthy place to be, trust me.

Today: Bush says...

IT'S A GOOD THING I'M IN CHARGE!!!!

WTF? While visiting his home town in Texas, Bush repeated this comment a couple of times today, and again, as I am beating my head off the wall, I wonder how much brain damage does this man actually have??? 100 more days in office could be catastrophic - since he has been "laying low" for the past several weeks, only coming out of his cubby hole to make somber announcements, I thought we were safe - and now this? Holy crappola Batman!

The announcement on Palin's abuse of power last night was refreshing. To hear her today, saying that "see they found I did nothing wrong" statement falls short a wee tad. With this assessment, Walt Moneghan apparently has solid grounds for a federal lawsuit - hope he gets whatever he can from Palin and/or Alaska. Since Todd Palin was cited (not charged) as to his numerous counts of "interference", that brings everything down to a personal level. Woohoo!! Did anyone else notice the statements coming from the McCain camp ALL said essentially that she was cleared? I just don't get it sometimes.

I guess there are quite a few questions being raised (by taxpayers in AK) about all the billing to the state by Palin for her (and family) expenses to attend religious events. On June 8, she flew to Wasilla to attend her regular church (Wasilla Assembly of God) and address young missionaries. She vowed to this group - to do her part to "implement God's will" from the governor's office. Bill to taxpayers = $639.50. Apparently she does not believe in any separation between Church and State.

Since taking office in late '06, she and her family have spent more than $13,000 (taxpayer dollars) to attend at least 10 religious events or meetings. According to some, these expenses fall into a gray area. Some organizations (religious) request her presence - but in my opinion, if you are NOT tending to "state matters" she should personally bear these expenses. She can freely exercise her religious beliefs while in office, but ethically if not legally, she should not be billing these expenses to the state. Maybe this issue will be raised since there are still matters to be addressed, on a state level. **An additional $10,094 was billed for worship services or religious themed events.

This is the line that wrapped completely around the Repub. HQ's - people waiting to get tickets for Palin's visit tomorrow evening. The local TV station interviewed several people in line, and the responses from some were laughable. Thank heavens they weren't aired nationally - they would make this area look like a bunch of boobs. Originally, Palin was to make a "bus tour" through the state of West Virginia before ending up in St. Clairsville tomorrow night, but according to the Charleston Gazette, I guess that won't be happening. I thought about sneaking out to the location of her stop - but, not worth my time. I'll catch the replay.

I am really interested what tack she will take though, today while in Pennsylvania she is pouncing on abortion issues. I'm curious if she will again make the Bill Ayers connection. Oh, by the way, I might have a connection: my 4th cousins, sister-in-law's uncle's great grandmother's brother's grandson - sold Bill Ayers a puppy! lalalalalalala!

CAN'T WE ALL BE FRIENDS!?!?!?

OK my blood is boiling....no shock there...

After catching up on today's events, regarding this massive financial bailout, this is one article I find so totally reprehensible. I can honestly say I am not shocked, as nothing this administration does from now on - can be worse than all the past asshole tactics...at least I hope not. Maybe a brief outline or opinion from both campaigning teams would be insightful, but in all actuality - Bush will still be in office for another 120 days - so any proposals and "quick fixes" have to come from the seated session. I have to think that listening or allowing Bush to make any decision is commensurate with the proverbial "fox in the hen house" theory. Bush is so out of touch with the real world that you and I occupy. But then again, I don't recall Bush ever being accused of being a genius (hell, semi-smart for that matter)!

I may have to start with blood pressure meds soon - this election process needs to end soon - to save my life! When I stopped at the Democrat HQ last night, I ended up in political discussions that lasted almost a half an hour.

Getting the pipsqueak in bed - tomorrow's a school day (hooray)! More reading to do - have a good one all!

A rainy YUCKY 4th of July!...big deal

The rain Gods are not going to be cooperative it appears - rain is the forecast for most of the day. Thegrandson and I and the rest of Mom2's family will picnic "inside" at theDonald's house this afternoon - this way we will all be much closer - ha!

The Bush countdown clock is now under 200 days - can we survive that long. Realistically there will be no immediate changes (for the better) under a new administration in January - but to get the bombastic fool out of office cannot be soon enough for me. I have come to the point where even seeing his mug on the news is nauseating. How we could have this man in control for so long, and perpetuate his lies - never ceases to amaze me. Those elected officials in Washington need to live on a meager salary and try to buy gasoline, groceries, health insurance and still find $$ for survival - NOT HAPPENING.

I finished cleaning my friend's house after 8.5 hours of continuous work yesterday. As I said in my last post - this was a once in a lifetime service I offered. But it turned out well (and she never saw how much junk I trashed in her absence...she won't even know!) The woman is a virtual pack-rat!

I just IM'd with theson - and he says he had a super time "down under!" Sending me a didgeridoo and told me to try and play it - this could be interesting.

It is still early - going to try and catch a little more sleep - stay safe all today! and again...HAPPY 4TH OF JULY!!

Creative imaginations...luv it!

Is this not appropriate on the 5th anniversary of Dubya's War Orders!! And the retard - insisted today in his speech that we "have to stay in Iraq!' What a dick!

*** I am taking thegrandson to the doctor again this afternoon - he is not getting better. There is a new redder rash (and painful) creeping all over his body. We are not happy campers here!

A NEW PRESIDENT - ONE YEAR FROM TODAY!!

Almost a milestone wouldn't you say? Although this may be the longest year of our lives till Dubya fades away into the Texas sunset. My only question is - how much damage can this idiot cause in the next 365 days? If we were to dwell on it - it becomes a very scary thought. The man wants to now start a war with Iran...give citizens a $800 ($1600 couples) jumpstart check ( amazing considering how much debt he has put this country into - maybe he will print the money at the White House)...and reinforce to the "American Public" that everything is JUST GREAT.

I will be awaiting all the comments when this idiot finally makes his State of the Union address. I am sure it will be filled with fluff and flowers to mesmerize the weak minded. I sometimes wonder if Dubya just reads the words printed for him or does he retain and understand their meaning? Considering he was reading a book upside down on 9/11 - does not take a rocket scientist to figure this one out.

Oh hell, just some political fodder that crept into my brain while looking at the Bush countdown clock.

Quickie opinion now OVER.

Stay healthy and TTFN.

A HAPPY HOLIDAY TO ALL!

It was a beautiful Christmas for sure. the grandson is happy, theson made it to Florida (16 hour drive) by 2:30 am, and no speeding tickets either, and all is well with the world.

I have taken oodles of pictures from our Christmas Eve at theDonald's and this morning watching thegrandson open all of Santa's packages. I could watch everyone open all their stuff and be in puppy heaven - to me it so much fun!

Theson amazed me again. I enjoyed all the time on my deck this past summer and have said many times that I would like to make it more homey...he got me an outdoor table fireplace - so cool! Also, a really neat outdoor speaker that has a radio in it and will also adapt to my iPod...I am tickled to death. Of course the old standby...a daily BUSHISM calendar, and this one is a "countdown" calendar also. Of course we know the days cannot go fast enough.

Now, as I play with a turkey in the oven, thegrandson is seeing if he can play with ALL his new stuff in record breaking time.

Hope everyone had a super Christmas and can relax now and get ready to celebrate the New Year in a week. (It all goes so fast!)

Stay healthy and enjoy your loved ones!
