RANDOMNESS....AS MY MIND WANDERS...

Yesterday evening, my neighbor, theToni and I went to the funeral home, to express our condolences to a dear friend. This man was my attorney, and handled various matters for me over the years. I could walk in his office anytime and get a hug and personal conversation before dealing with matters at hand. His wife worked in his office as did his daughter at one time. Several years ago, he moved his office out of Bellaire and to St. Clairsville, OH, a few doors down from the court house. My attorney's partner is also a long-time friend, so I was always comfortable when I ever had the need for their professional counselling.

We were friends long before I ever sought his advice professionally. Whenever I was at Alan's office, the first thing he always asked "how's your son doing?" For all the pride I had/have for my son, Alan was impressed that he was attending Case Western Reserve University, how well he was doing and then later when he landed such an excellent job - he was pumped. I would equally pass the kudos for his daughter and her law practice and then on to magistrate services.

Theson, who basically hates meeting new people, talking on the phone and other interactions between humans - I believe felt comfortable around Alan also. I will miss him, but I know after a year battling the big "C" - he is no longer suffering.

Well, Johnny Mac is driving more nails in his coffin. Yesterday, he announced his opposition to Sotomayor's SCOTUS nomination. The GOP is ensuring their defeats in the next election cycle, by alienating the Hispanic electorate. He is just one of many in their party to express his opposition. I read and heard him give the speech...and it was another speech filled with lies and misinterpretations.

I don't think I'm too far off base here...but these Conservatives are showing an overt RACISM, like I haven't seen for quite a few years. It is repugnant and inexcusable.

I have to get a few "things" accomplished in the house, so I may just return.......later................

Our Senators (other side) are asshats!!!

To say I need a life is an understatement. Having worked on tax returns all day plus unloading the "package" from Egypt, I should relax and kick back. Oh NO!! Here I sit listening to our United States Senators acting like asswipes on this Stimulus Bill.

All the alerts went out -- "Senate reaches agreement on Stimulus Package - Vote tonight." So I go to C-SPAN and I am still listening to these ridiculous arguments from the Republicans - and I have to say John McCain was more creative in his figures than most. He would make a great accountant - NOT!

A bipartisan committee met and made over $100 billion in cuts to the initial proposal, and McCain, Martinez, Graham, McConnell and other repukes are spouting off such things as:

"This money will be hard pressed to make it to the state level within two years."
"I call this a generational theft bill."
"There is no oversight of monies included here."
Blah, blah, blah, blah!!!

Let's see, they followed Bush in allowing the first release of TARP funds ($350 billion) with NO oversight whatsoever - and look how that ended. I have a hard time even listening to any Repub argument on this matter, after they essentially allowed this catastrophe to develop.

John McCain is now stating that the Dems are saying "we won the election so we will write the bill" - which makes me want to jump thru that TV screen and strangle that growth on his face! Tell me what good came of the Bush administration and their six years of total reign! The republican party carries no credence with me at this point in time, after ruining the economy and allowing Bush free rein to do as he pleased. Talk about a sore loser.

ARGHH!!! I'm pissed. Then we have the cap on CEO pays that Obama proposes.




I do not have a problem with such a cap. When big businesses come on bended knee to the government and beg to be bailed out of the situations - which they created - then yes, they should have to follow NEW rules.

Tell me the difference between a CEO receiving government money in order to survive and a welfare recipient. In the mid 90's the government initiated much more stringent rules on those receiving welfare. Random drug testing can also be done if receiving Sec. 8 housing, mandatory hours must be worked and documented in order to receive certain benefits, i.e., food stamps and medicaid. So I say - as well as placing a cap on the CEO bonuses - these people should be subjected to other mandatory government rules. I would expect to have all these people sign in and out of work (punch a time clock if you will) and mandate at least a 40 hour work week, no paid lunches, random drug tests would not hurt either.

I see no difference between these two stations in life. Many say - the government should not be running these businesses - well - they shouldn't have let their businesses run into the ground. Sen. Bob Bennett (R-UT) after hearing this proposal stated "you run the risk of having a brain drain at the bank, of their top talent!" Excuse me...would that be the same "brain(s)" that caused these problems, yet still accepted TARP monies and paid out more bonuses??? Get a grip Senator.

I can see now that a vote will not be forthcoming tonight - and I am very tired. This is not a very organized rant..but what the hell. Have a good evening and great weekend, if you don't get back here.

John McCain's swan song? One can only hope. The Arizona dwarf has been slinging mud and perpetuating lies from the beginning and still "doesn't get it!"

Between the curmudgeon and frostbite queen they have tried to paint Obama as the anti-Christ, anti-American mistake for this country. I have to say I am impressed by the citizens of this country to see past these lies.

These last few days before "decision time" appear to be taking a toll on poor Johnny. I, for one, am totally pissed because I have been waiting to see McGoofy "blow his top." Wouldn't you love to be a fly on the wall on the Straight Talk Express? Just some thoughts here:

From all the reading I have garnered lately, it appears that Sarah Palin's approval ratings in the state of Alaska have dropped sharply. The state legislature has gotten along well in a bi-partisan manner since Palin was elected governor...but now it seems, since she has shown such divisive opinions and been so vindictive in this election, the consensus is, she will not enjoy that same rapport upon her return - when she loses Tuesday!!! I guess that would be another one of her shortcomings - her short-sightedness!!




Cheney R.S.V. P.'d - he will be more than delighted to attend Bristol Palin's shotgun...er, I mean wedding!!!!!





I am trying to assess what I will have to blog about after this election. I am one of those Election Obsessed people (EOD). My other enjoyment is watching court programs (serious ones.) Since Court TV became TruTV - it sucks!!! My kids wanted to kill me during the Phil Spector trial last year. It lasted five months, I was blogging, chatting on 2 sites, and was "objecting" from my seat in my kitchen!!! When the final result was a mistrial - I was a basket case. The retrial began this week - but there is good news for my family - NO live streaming of the trial this time!!!

I'm not worried - there will be daily events I'm sure - and with all my opinions....no problem.

I have never been in the position of being so far down (in an election or otherwise) that I would utilize the lies and distortions that John McCrackhead and his cohorts have decided to sink.

This is a partial representation of a mailer being sent by the LOSERS - in hopes of pulling ahead in this very important election. If you notice, these are all "claims" and no factual information is included. Throwing mud is all the asshhole has left - this riles me to no end. Essentially, they are preying upon the less informed to sway their votes. You know the ones I am talking about, the ones who spout the same old words and phrases - but couldn't substantiate a single one, if their lives depended on it.

I am guessing that I will never be able to run for a major office in the future, because I know Bob Ney and am very good friends with his parents. Since I have that relationship, because he accepted money from Jack Abramoff, I must also have been involved. Damn, I wish I had some of that money!!!!

News alert showing white van that was used to "kidnap" Jennifer Hudson's nephew has been located, and there is a body of a child inside. How very sad. I hope they catch and fry the bastards involved. What could that 7 year old boy have done to deserve this? As a mother and a grandmother, my philosophy has always been one of the lioness - you don't mess with MINE!!! I will be thinking about this family and their grief and heartache - something that will never go away.

John McQuick is making an announcement in Cleveland with his "Economic Advisers." OMG what could this be??? He has Meg Whitman and Mitt Romney with him - now I'm scared. He keeps clearing his throat - I think he has a furball! Crap, Tom Pawlenty there too. WTF?!?!? "Don't believe Obama - he will cut millions of jobs where I ensure millions of NEW jobs!" Is the

John McCain was on Fox news this morning right after the announcement was received of Colin Powell's endorsement of Barack Obama. It is no great secret of my disdain for this man, especially since he has gone far beyond "mud slinging!" After so many questions were posed, he was asked if he thought Sarah Palin has become a "drag" on the Republican ticket. His reply was as follows:

"I could not be more pleased. She has excited and energized our base. She is a direct counterpoint to the liberal feminist agenda for America. She has a wonderful family. She's a reformer. She's a conservative. She's the best thing that could have happened to my campaign and to America."

As usual, every time he opens his mouth I get chills up my spine. But saying Palin is the "counterpoint to the liberal feminist agenda" speaks volumes. McCain would be happy if all the women in the world just "stayed in their place." Maybe Cindy Lou is happy being separated from McCrackhead for long periods, in order to be her feminine self and collect her millions of dollars a year, but I am telling you now - this woman is going to her grave screaming and shouting "I am as smart and equal to any man in this world." We have had many opportunities to rise the corporate ladders but it's assholes like McGruffy who ensure we DON'T EARN EQUAL PAY! We know that he wants the government to deny us the right to make decisions regarding our bodies - and there is no end to sending us back one hundred years in society.


As far as her other attributes, we know how over-exaggerated they are and just for back-up, these people from Wasilla can attest to her fiscal irresponsibility.

At this point in time, I don't care what I say about that man. To sit and LIE and blame Obama for waging the dirtiest campaign in America - is a sin. The campaign is distributing pamphlets, that are so blatantly wrong - I want to tear someones eyes out. If you go to that link, you will see the "layout" of this pamphlet has terroristic quotes - in between pictures of Obama and Ayers - now what would your first conclusion be?

Bill Ayers NEVER killed anyone. His first wife was killed trying to dismantle a bomb, the one referenced in this literature. Also, how quickly people forget what the political atmosphere was like in the late 60's, early 70's. I remember. McCain has distorted every phrase that Obama has made - not to mention the twisting of words from Bill Ayers. I should certainly hope that the intelligent people of this country - can decipher truth from fiction. I should hope that if anyone has questions - they use their abilities to research and get the truth. In the late 60's and 70's - terrorist was not a word we used either - they were considered RADICALS. McCains' camp deliberately uses to word terrorist to INCITE. I've said it before and will keep saying it till this election is over and the best man is in the White House - Obama.

I must receive those e-mails - that tell you all those bad things about Obama, multiple times a day. Some are from family members even. Nevermind, that the e-mails were sent by an anti-semitic asshole originally - and they still manage to make that circuitous route around the country and back. Nevermind, that everything in those vile e-mails has been disputed - some people still believe every damn word. My patience is wearing thin here folks!

McCain/Palin's team took a wee jump in the polls today - I am hoping that is it - and their path now is DOWN! I know I am probably too passionate here - but when I get behind something - there is no stopping me.



No one cares I am sure - but I would much rather see Tina Fey on SNL - and will not be watching the real one. I am sure I would "stroke out" if I did. Can't say that I was impressed with McC on Letterman last night - I found something better to watch.

I feel it is too late to put out the fire John McCain has ignited. The chorus of abuse from these rallies - it appears, cannot be staunched. Today's tunes were:

a young man : "[Obama] cohorts with domestic terrorists such as [Bill] Ayers."

woman in crowd: "I don't trust Obama. I have read about him. He's an Arab."


Hours before speaking, McCain's representative, Brian Rogers sent this statement out to reporters, which defended comments from these crowds:

"Barack Obama's attacks on Americans who support John McCain, reveal far more about him than they do about John McCain. It is clear that Barack Obama just doesn't understand regular people and the issues they care about. Even worse, he attacks anyone who dares to question his readiness to serve as their commander in chief. Raising legitimate questions about record, character and judgement, are a vital part of the Democratic process, and Barack Obama's efforts to silence and shame those who seek answers should make everyone wonder exactly what he is hiding."

This tells us that McCain is acknowledging that he WON'T do anything to quell the raging tempers of his constituents - people who have that "belief without proof" mentality.

I don't want to see or hear it - but McCain is encouraging violence against Obama. Heaven forbid something like that should happen - as McCain wouldn't bat an eye. How pathetic - how very scary!

Just another fleeting thought I have - McCain is perpetuating these attacks BECAUSE...Obama appears to NOT be fighting back. Considering all the ammo at his fingertips on McCain and Palin - it would be so easy - so who is taking the high road here???? THE RIGHT MAN FOR THE JOB!!! BARACK OBAMA.

I have been trying to compose myself, as the rage has intensified to unhealthy levels, within my body. I detest to all limits LIARS!!! And a liar who utilizes such tactics to get such negative responses - should burn in Hell. I am referring to the McStupid and Palgal's speeches from yesterday. Since they have chosen to connect Barack Obama to the radical beliefs of the 60's and 70's - the responses from the crowds (these are on the multiple video tapes) of "TERRORIST" - "KILL HIM" - and "TREASON" have been the result. This makes me very afraid. My personal opinion is that McAryan has been a racist for most of his life - Palin, I doubt, she's not smart enough to make the connection. But they have opened a can of worms and can never reseal that can. I have seen the people that this McC/Palin team have been appealing too, and it is frightful. The arguments I have managed to get into (now, aren't we shocked?) have been futile. I walk away wondering how some of these people have managed to survive in this world, for so long. Their perception of reality is totally whacked! Facts and truths mean absolutely nothing, I repeat nothing to these people.




Since, I did my first research paper in junior high school, I have loved to research everything. The majority of people that will be voting on November 4th, take what vitriol is put to them, as gospel and therefore, "my mind is made up now!" I am very glad that there are so many new, young voters - mostly from college campuses, and inquisitive enough to listen to ALL points. Hopefully, their decisions will be made with a deep concern for the future of this country and the avenues they decide to travel, be it business, education or corporate.

I do believe the I.R.S. needs to further scrutinize some issues on both McCain and Palin's returns. McCain has not claimed one penny in gambling winnings (and it is well known how he likes the crap tables) over the years. Granted he can deduct losses in proportion to his winnings, so why hasn't he? Hmmm... makes me wonder. A bigger issue though would be the $43,500 Palin's received for travel and lodging for First Dude and the kids. Nada, nil, nothing was claimed in that area. Although the McC camp released an opinion letter from a Washington, D.C. criminal tax attorney, saying they complied with Alaska law...there are opposing opinions from former I.R.S. lawyers, saying there is basically no wiggle room as to the $23,000 for the Palin kids - that is reportable and taxable. First Dude is a gray area, as a spouse, he is sometimes required (?) to be with his wife. FD's "snow machine" winnings being reported as a Sole Proprietor business may come under scrutiny also. He has written off more deductions - relating to what - 2 races at most a year. Nothing, in reality, will happen on these fronts till long after Nov. 4th I am sure.

Dennis DeConcini said in an article yesterday, that he basically feels Obama should continue, as he felt and still feels that McCain got off way to easy in that scandal (I agree). Because McC was a member of the US House - the Senate concluded it had no jurisdiction to look into McC's travel and investments with Keating. DeConcini is not alone in that thought. When this was all over the news in early 90's, many people felt there was plenty being brushed under the rug, as it were.

I loved the reports earlier, that the McAlzheimer team was headed to a posh resort in Sedona, Arizona, so he can "bone up" for Tuesday's debate, yet, in the same article, it states that he is going to his mountain retreat. Now which is it? I am betting on both!

If anyone missed my Twitter from last night - thegrandson saw a picture of McC on my computer and said, "I know him - he's on Cheaper By the Dozen!" Close, but no cigar!!

Theson is in Munich, Germany for a little R&R (Oktoberfest too) - as far as I know. I told him to Skype me before he left, but I think he was busy celebrating the end of Ramadan, and clicked me off the webcam! Snotty child!

Sen. McQuack being interviewed by the Des Moines Register editorial staff recently, still acts so smug and superior. I am reaching the point where I can't even stand to look at his face.

I'm sick to death of this fucking Republican party right now!! And every jerk that made a comment, one way or the other this day, be it on the floor of Congress, or in the halls after this disastrous vote. I watched the discussion on the floor, and the Repukes that stood up and denounced this plan, because of petty, I repeat PETTY, items that were totally ignored in the plan, thus encouraging a NO vote on HR 3772. They (as always) want more and more for their mealy self-serving interests.

John Boehner (sadly from Ohio), stood on the floor for 3 minutes proclaiming the necessity of a YES vote - and after failure, stands in the hallways, talking out of his ASS!! Now telling the public there was no way the Republican party could vote for such a bill. Cong. Eric Cantor, from Virginia holds up a copy of Nancy Pelosi's speech and then lays blame at her feet - for hurting the Republican's feelings. I do not understand why I have not thrown something at the TV yet - because I really need to throw something. These assholes in Congress should be oh so thankful I am not in Washington...I would either be dead or in jail.

On top of all that, McAsshole goes on TV and blames Obama....I thought I was having a stroke for a minute. Someone out there in blogland tell me WHY DO PEOPLE ACTUALLY BELIEVE THIS OLD FUCKING MAN?????!!! We, who have brains, cannot be fooled by the contradictions and lies that spew so easily from his wrinkled face. Hell, he is 72 - he should pass before I do, but at this rate, I could keel over any moment. His spokespeons are spewing the same lies, being caught in the lies, and McFuckhead says Obama DOESN'T GET IT!?!?! PUH-LEEEEEEEEZE!!! (insert smarmy smirk here!)

I have to say, I love Barney Frank. He is sometimes hard to listen too, I think because he talks so fast, but his humor is unbelievable. I read in 1995 when House Leader Dick Armey called Frank "Barney Fag" - Frank said he asked an expert (his mother) who said that in her 59 married years, no one ever introduced her as Elsie Fag. Barney Frank is not a hypocrite and has a very low tolerance for hypocrites. The best remark was last week (24th) when John McCrack "suspended" his campaign and went to Washington, Frank said it was "the longest Hail Mary in the history of football or Mary's!" He also referred to McFuck as Andy Kaufman in his Mighty Mouse costume singing "Here I Come to Save the Day!!" Such an ugly picture.

Oh, and lest I forget, Congress took a short recess for Rosh Hashana (sp) and will not be back till possibly Thursday. Now the stock market took a heft dump today, retirement accounts were probably hit quite hard - your hard earned funds are in jeopardy. This bail-out was to put more liquidity into the lending arena. I'm waiting for my credit card companies to drop my credit lines any minute. I try not to use them, but we know how that goes. Oh, and forget Christmas...these fucking assholes just ensured there will be no Christmas in this house!!

I need a break...my head is exploding! I just need this spot to VENT!!!

Next debate format....Town Hall forum...

So far, all I am hearing is that John McCain is the "Master of the Town Hall" format discussions. I don't see it, because I have seen him stumble and blather, much the same as last Friday's debate. The man cannot stay on point, and we know he cannot look his opponent in the face either.

As to the Friday debate, Steve Schmidt, a McCain aide said on a Sunday program with George Stephanopoulas:

"When Sen. McCain came back to Washington, there had been no deal
reached. What Sen. McCain was able to do was to help bring all the parties
to the table, including the House Republicans, he came back and he listened and
he helped put together the framework of getting everybody to the table which was
essential in getting the package [together]."

And McCain has said:

"Whether I helped or hurt, I'll be glad to accept the judgement of history, but I'm never going to not get engaged when the taxpayers and middle-class of America are in danger of losing everything literally that they have worked all their lives for."

I won't (ha) address the fact he ended the sentence with a preposition for now! But having watched many different news channels, the consensus I heard was - McCain did nothing in the progression of negotiations. Sen. Chris Dodd and Sen. Chuck Schumer, said he caused more problems, by bringing the paparazzi to Capital Hill for his photo-op. If anything, McCain's presence was passive at best and according to some it was a detrimental role.

Apparently, the negotiations were not foremost in his thoughts, as he and his wife, Sen. Joe Lieberman and his wife Hadassah, were dining at the opulent Cafe Moye in the Mandarin Oriental Hotel in Washington late Saturday evening.

NO - he was not part of the negotiations - he was NOT valiantly battling the forces of the status quo to get something done for Main Street.



Yes, we need TEAMWORK from the Democratic party to take back our country!!!

In our area (Ohio Valley) we seem to have, in my opinion, way too many telemarketing firms. The main client of these firms are the credit card companies. Knowing several individuals who work at these places, I get irritated when they say things like "I sold $100,000 in credit cards today." I have gotten into quite a few arguments with these individuals (I know you are shocked) as to how they can live with themselves, knowing you are deliberately encouraging people to over-extend themselves. I'm not trying to be insulting or flip, but these individuals barely made it out of high school or straight out of vocational schools - and to be honest, they have NO IDEA what they are doing. They are given sheets with dialogue, key words or phrases which will lead them to another sales pitch, etc. The usual reply is, well, I get raises according to what I sell - I'm like you get a quarter raise on minimum wage how often and for how many hours? If you do not sell the equal amount of debt the following week, where is your pay scale? Do you get benefits? Oh and you can be laid off with more than 2 call offs or being late - no personal time accrued, no sick time accrued, no vacation time accrued...you are in a go nowhere job...HELLO!!!!!! I compare this to a sweat shop mentality of sorts. These firms prey on this type of an employee. After watching this video - it is apparent that there are some intelligent people working at these places that finally got SICK of the process.

McCain has managed to get his photo-op in at the Congressional get-together. We saw him side by side with (gag!!) Joe Lieberman - his good old buddy. (Can't wait to see what happens, when Obama wins, to Lieberman) and the camera crews fighting with the Secret Service to get his picture. I should hope - that Obama shuns this type of publicity at this time. I also hope he sticks to his guns about having the debate tomorrow. I truly do not know who has the final word on this matter. Could McCain's maneuvering ultimately be to have Palin NOT debate Joe Biden? McCain needs to work on his credibility issues - head for the debate - because we know he CANNOT hold his own in that format. After seeing Palin and the Katie Couric interview - people need to be vary wary - she does not have a clue - not even a hint!!

I'm trying to get more details on the bailout plans - but hard at the moment. The Democrats feel they have a fairly good proposal but John Boehner (R-OH) says there is no plan yet. Now, who is holding up the works?

***UPDATE: John McCain has stated that if there is no bailout plan by tomorrow - he WILL NOT show up at the debate! Please, please, tell me how you feel - because I am seeing so much red at the moment - they should be glad I am NOT in Washington, D.C.

can you spell M*A*N*I*P*U*L*A*T*I*O*N ???......

OK I've had enough of McCain - here he is making an announcement that he is "suspending" his campaign and wants to delay the debates for Friday, so he can head back to Warshington (how he pronounces it) and settle this economic crises. He also encourages Barack Obama to do the same. Someone, somewhere is masterminding this strange action and to what end? Obama apparently contacted McCain early this morning to the possibility of submitting a joint statement on the economic bailout - and then McCain comes up with this idea. McCain, the King of Deregulation, the main catalyst for this crisis....wants to go back to D.C. to fix it - NO,NO,NO,NO,NO!!!! I say keep him as far away from Washington till absolutely necessary. Considering the Republican party has been putting so much distance between themselves and Bush/Cheney this week, I honestly cannot believe that McCain carries that much clout any longer.

Oh, lest I forget, he also wants to DELAY THE DEBATE, scheduled for Friday. Call me a pessimist, but watching McCain over the past 3 days alone, his tone and attitude have become more somber. Could he be running scared? Could he be totally unprepared for a debate? Sen. Lyndsay Graham is running himself ragged trying to get ahold of the Obama team to agree to such a delay...in my lowly, humble opinion, I would never agree to such a delay.

The only problem I have with this bailout proposal (from Paulson and Bernanke) is that they want a $700 billion dollar bailout carte blanche. No strings, no oversight, and very few questions being truly answered.

NOW IS THE TIME for a debate between these two men who want to govern our country. We don't want to see them amongst their cronies in Washington, arguing this or that merit of various proposals. I want to see who can hold their own - because one of them will eventually be at the helm.

McCain wanting to go back to Washington would essentially distract from the business at hand and be just another photo-op, which is all McCain has left to him.

My anger is boiling to the top - the rhetoric and lies are over the top. Later.

John McCain Losing His Cool

Long ago, I saw this video (the campaign hadn't even started), and McCain annoyed me then, with his superior smug attitude. The way he treated this woman with his blustery statement "no one made those statements" and WALKED AWAY - this after bringing the woman to tears, was unforgivable.

I lost a few friends in Vietnam and have many friends who survived that "non" war! It took a heavy toll on these patriots - yet, John McCain acts like he is the only one who is an authority on Vietnam. This article is long, but explains a lot of facts, facts that I am sure so many are unaware. I hope you all take the time to read it in it's entirety - Ms. Alfond (from the video) is referenced as well.

I have a hard time rationalizing the fact that there are still possibly POW's remaining in Vietnam - or died there - left by a country that abandoned them. I am positive that many of you have NEVER even considered this. But we who lived through it, consoled these men and women upon their return - always reflect back.

There was a major collusion involved in the government process regarding MIA-POW's - and John McCain was a MAJOR factor. I can't forgive him for that.

This man, who has a notorious temper, having his finger near the "red" button scares the living hell out of me. Please, please read this article. I know it has nothing to do with the economy, education, health care or other matters of immediate importance - but I consider it important background.
