THE BIG DEBATE??? DAMN BLOWHARDS....

Last night, I again managed to channel surf right to FAUX NOISE, just in time to watch BillO, Allan Colmes and a female argue the point of the Ft. Hood shooter Nidal Hassan.

I must say that Alan Colmes finally showed some backbone and argued against the BS rhetoric coming from the other two.

The argument (debate hah!) centered around Nidal Hassan and that our President has refused to use the words "terrorist" or "terrorism". One might choose to call this man a homegrown terrorist, by the deed alone, as he is a U.S. citizen, raised in our country.

I, for one, am impressed that our Prez has chosen not to make that correlation, this early in the investigation. Considering preliminary reports surfaced that this man was upset about his deployment to Iraq...and for all we know, there may have been other underlying reasons for him to "snap."

BillO was having no parts of the argument that this man was mentally imbalanced, simply because the right-wing conspiracy mentality, only allows for stupid quick judgements. Judgements to instill fear in the masses of Americans. That would be similar to the lies and fear mongering enhanced by Bush/Cheney.

Look where we are at the moment. Thousands of troops still in Iraq. Thousands more are in Afghanistan with additional troops being requested. Young lives being lost daily, in these senseless battles. Japan, Korea, Germany, all still house our troops in bases set up during the cold war. Money flying out of the government's coffers (yours and my tax dollars), to maintain our troops...for what? We can't win a war in Pakistan/Afghanistan. Iraq will eventually go back to their warring ways - this is the cycle for these middle eastern countries - hundreds of years of history have proven that fact.

It's time to bring our troops home, every last one of them. The senseless deaths have to stop. I understand the obstacles presented by the neocons...without the fear and wars they have started - they would be a force to be reckoned with, as it were.

Strange how those on the right, never state that those who shoot/kill abortion doctors or bomb abortion clinics - are terrorists. John Muhammad, who was executed last night (the D.C. Sniper), was never referred to as a terrorist. The shootings at college campuses - those responsible were never labeled terrorists. I could go on and on, but I think the point has been made.

As for Nidal Hassan, the crime he has committed is an atrocity. Personally, until I see evidence to the contrary, I believe he just "snapped." The government was aware of his communications, i.e. e-mails and such, but saw nothing alarming apparently. Could the government have gone farther in their investigations prior to this shooting - possibly. But hindsight is a completely different perspective.

The right wingers choose to jump on their "terrorist" bandwagon, simply because he is Muslim. They have painted a picture in their followers minds, that ALL Muslims are the enemy and want to kill us. That is just not true. Granted there are those who take on the bastion of jihadism - but again, that description cannot be given to all Muslims. My take on that spin - is that because they (Muslims) don't adhere to the "word of God" they have to be evil. These are the Christians who believe that their God is the only God - which would take me into an entirely different topic - so enough said.

I'm off to town soon, to stalk the movie filming again. There are still some pics I intend to try and take.

I believe theson is officially done with his job in Egypt as of today. He will be leaving for Jordan tomorrow, then Spain...then home on the 28th. I'm so excited, since I haven't seen him in almost 11 months.

JUST A WEE BREAK....

I've had some things that needed to be completed, so I took a teeny tiny break from here. I will have everyone caught up (reading their blogs) by the weekend, hopefully.

With all the "racist" tones of the day...it appears to be hitting close to home, as you can read here.
this is a picture of Mark Mentzer, mentioned in the article. His mother was also arrested for "obstructing an officer." When confronted by the news reporters as the two boys emerged from court this morning, they repeated their "no comment" when asked multiple questions. The mother was curt and in my opinion, rather nasty to the reporter when she was asked a couple of questions.

Be that as it may, the text messages, the stockpile of bomb making equipment and other "stuff" - not to mention the text messages, MySpace and other postings made by Mentzer, he instilled a great deal of fear within the student body. With some of the comments he has made, he appears to me, to be a white supremicist wannabe. But looking more closely - I would hazard a guess that he has been influenced from WITHIN the home. I could be wrong, but I realize that my beliefs have influenced my children to a degree, and were I a racist, I'm sure that would have shown through also.

Anyone who knows me, knows I do not have bigoted or racist views whatsoever. I also find it hard to imagine how anyone (white person) feels they are superior to another race. I leave it to those who open their mouths and ignorant statements to define themselves - then I could possibly make that assumption.

Much like the attitude of the right in present politics. One would have to be a complete moron to believe that the opposition to Obama is NOT based primarily on race. I should only aspire to be as eloquent and intelligent as Mr. Obama.

I was going to post the clips from Jay Leno's show last night, and his "guest" Limpdick. The more I thought of that posting - I became nauseous. He made so many insane comments, they are better off ignored. As for Leno - I'm not to happy that he gave the druggie the forum to spout off his insanity. Nope, not happy at all.

We are headed out to dinner and thought I would just make this a quickie. I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend - the temps are dropping into comfortable Fall levels, albeit the rain we are forecast for tomorrow.

Again, Sarah Palin never ceases to amaze me. When we listen to ANY of her speeches, they ALL include the same talking points. The same grammatical phrasing...she managed to memorize a specific few lines and reiterates them non-stop. As if these sputterings can be applied exclusively to economy, health care, jobs...etc. Please watch this:



Now, I know she is pro-life and does not believe in abortion, even in the case of rape - even if it were her own daughter - but to wiggle and fudge the issue of putting an abortion clinic bomber in the same category as THE TERRORIST BILL AYERS, is mind boggling.

Bill Ayers, made bombs to further a political agenda against the Vietnam war - NO ONE was killed. I stated before, his first wife was killed trying to dismantle or deter the placement of a bomb. Now, with all McClank and Pally's ramblings, the radical Bill Ayers is the worst thing that ever walked the face of the earth.

Sarah dear...now what do you think of Eric Rudolph? "Duh, who's that?" Let me tell you dear, he set off a bomb at the Atlanta Olympic park and maimed many and I believe 2 possibly 3 people were killed. He bragged about the abortion clinics he blew up...maiming people - scars they would carry for the remainder of their lives. This man bragged about his accomplishments, people lived in terror because of him, he was on the FBI's Most Wanted list for the five years he remained in hiding. Now - again, would you classify this abortion clinic bomber a terrorist? Eric Rudolph is serving LIFE in prison, Bill Ayers is a college professor and no prison time - there's a no-brainer for ya!

When Brian Williams tried to get a straight answer from her on this issue, you can see she again, did not give that straight answer!! If she gave a truthful answer - she would have to say YES. But she won't because she loves the fact that abortion clinics were being blown up - because it fits her personal beliefs in pro-life. (Of course that would be pro-life for the unborn - not the living!)

I'm not arguing the point of abortion per se, that is a personal choice which should be left solely to the individual (my belief), I am making the point of Palin's lack of knowledge, stupidity if you will. She is not smart enough to realize that her memorized TALKING POINTS and key phrases are not applicable to all issues. Please, please, grow a brain! She refers to terrorists as anyone who would threaten our U.S. Capital, Pentagon and innocent lives. Like I said, in my heart I know that she does not consider those associated with abortion clinics or who may perform abortions as innocent lives.

At this point in time, I don't care what I say about that man. To sit and LIE and blame Obama for waging the dirtiest campaign in America - is a sin. The campaign is distributing pamphlets, that are so blatantly wrong - I want to tear someones eyes out. If you go to that link, you will see the "layout" of this pamphlet has terroristic quotes - in between pictures of Obama and Ayers - now what would your first conclusion be?

Bill Ayers NEVER killed anyone. His first wife was killed trying to dismantle a bomb, the one referenced in this literature. Also, how quickly people forget what the political atmosphere was like in the late 60's, early 70's. I remember. McCain has distorted every phrase that Obama has made - not to mention the twisting of words from Bill Ayers. I should certainly hope that the intelligent people of this country - can decipher truth from fiction. I should hope that if anyone has questions - they use their abilities to research and get the truth. In the late 60's and 70's - terrorist was not a word we used either - they were considered RADICALS. McCains' camp deliberately uses to word terrorist to INCITE. I've said it before and will keep saying it till this election is over and the best man is in the White House - Obama.

I must receive those e-mails - that tell you all those bad things about Obama, multiple times a day. Some are from family members even. Nevermind, that the e-mails were sent by an anti-semitic asshole originally - and they still manage to make that circuitous route around the country and back. Nevermind, that everything in those vile e-mails has been disputed - some people still believe every damn word. My patience is wearing thin here folks!

McCain/Palin's team took a wee jump in the polls today - I am hoping that is it - and their path now is DOWN! I know I am probably too passionate here - but when I get behind something - there is no stopping me.



No one cares I am sure - but I would much rather see Tina Fey on SNL - and will not be watching the real one. I am sure I would "stroke out" if I did. Can't say that I was impressed with McC on Letterman last night - I found something better to watch.

Note to family members: DO NOT SEND ME THE OBAMA GARBAGE E-MAILS THAT YOU TAKE FOR FACT. I do my research and I KNOW the facts.
