I'M HERE...BUT.....

I'm totally overwhelmed with the idiocies of the past couple of days, and just do not know where I want to start.

There is a medical issue in the household that needs to be dealt with on Wednesday, but we will not know the results till after we return from vacation. So nerves and patience are all being tested.

Dr. Tiller's assassination: domestic terrorism at its best. The rhetoric being delivered by the Christian right is ridiculous and needs to addressed for what it is - terrorism! Oh, and this suspect is claiming "justifiable homicide." Give me a fucking break!

The Obama's "night out": Enough already - the rethuglians never complained while THEIR President spent one-third of his term ON VACATION, at the taxpayer's expense. the only cost here was for the "smaller" plane utilized as opposed to the fuel guzzling primary Air Force One.

The missing plane from Brazil to Paris: This is such a shame. This may take a considerable amount of time to locate this plane in hundreds of square miles of ocean.

Stanley Cup Finals: SUCKS BALLS. Well, on to Pittsburgh on Tuesday. (Sorry Dr. MVM - I know you are doing the happy dance so far).

GM Bankruptcy: This may be a good thing. An automobile giant now has to pare back and make sensible decisions for a change.

Lee Iacocca: Loses his pension and company car due to cut backs. Oh the inhumanity of it all!

That's about all I can synopsize for now. I'm totally exhausted. Getting home from baseball game at 8 pm and eating late does not help my demeanor either.

Have a great evening and I shall return.......later.............

...on this note (grab a cold one), I say "goodnight."

I know how you feel.

I am really hoping that Bill O'Reilly will get a whole lot o' shyte for his participation in fanning the flames of insanity on the right.

Altho' he is a soulless bastard, so I am not going to hold my breath.

It is good, however, to see some of the major news outlets taking this on and not trying to side-step the abortion issue.

If you don't watch Rachel Maddow, I highly recommend her episode from tonight... good stuff and good to know that there are smart, humanist, people talking and writing about this.

Hope you enjoy your cold ones :).

I thought the pic was funny! OMG I'm exhausted just reading all those things. It is a little much, isn't it.

On a serious note, I hope everything medically will be alright. Hang in there!

Best wishes medically. I'm out of touch with the headlines, I need to get caught up, but they always just piss me off...

I know everything lately has been pretty overwhelming, almost to the point of insanity. Some times it all gets to be too much to deal with.

I hope this doesn't upset anyone, and I'm not usually a blog whore, but I've got a new post up with part of a column and an interview from Frank Shaeffer on just why the radical right ,as a whole, is to blame for Dr. Tiller's death.

Here's the link: http://forthegrandkids.blogspot.com/2009/06/fox-news-complicity-with-right-wing.html

Again, I apologize for being a blog whore.

Grand-pa Eddie, go easy on yourself. that's not 'blog-whoring,' (which would be wrong unless you lived in Nevada; or were the president--cuz if the president does it, it's not 'wrong'), it's "blog-FLOGGING," which is permissible unless the blog you're flogging is dead...
