MEMES OF LOVE AND HATE.....

I changed paths, and stole this meme from my friend Samurai Frog.

The Most Loved and Most Hated memes have been flying all over the place. So, why not, eh? I will follow suit and use this for my Sunday post.

1. Most hated food: LIVER. I have tried it many different ways, thinking this time the taste and aftertaste will be better. This has not happened yet.
2. Most hated person: I do not HATE anyone. Too strong of an emotion, but I can put here as the most detested person - Dick Cheney!!
3. Most hated job: Waitressing. It might have been a more thankful job had the employer been a more stand up person. It was a one time experience.
4. Most hated city: Of all the cities I have visited or live, I can't think of a one without some redeeming quality.
5. Most hated band: I am far from an aficionado of bands.
6. Most hated web site: I rove all over the place, and haven't found one to totally despise yet.
7. Most hated TV program: FAUX NEWS
8. Most hated British politician: Tony Blair
9. Most hated artist: No comment on this one. Any artist has more talent than me so they get my consideration.
10. Most hated book: The bible.
11. Most hated shop: Mall stores. I abhor going to the mall - help is no longer an attribute to this service industry.
12. Most hated organization: The "church" of scientology and other cults.
13. Most hated historical event: Bush's war on Iraq. Senseless and not warranted.
14. Most hated sport: NASCAR - I think these drivers lack the talent of making right hand turns.

16. Most hated annual event: Family reunions. I'm not a big fan whatsoever.
17. Most hated daily task: Cleaning the bathroom of the CAT.

And now the love.

1. Most loved food: Anything with potatoes.

GOOD NEWS....NO MORE SWEATING THIS ONE.....

Well, our doctor was true to his word, and the rush he put on the biopsy was processed quickly. He called yesterday afternoon - ALL GOOD NEWS. No signs of any cancer cells whatsoever. He was a little upset that the PA, mentioned in prior blog - took it upon herself to put the scare into us - without consulting the gynecologist that employs her - first.

Thedaughter tried to "hijack" my blog to put her own post (of thanks) here - but mwahahahaha - finally a password she couldn't figure out. But the following is what she e-mailed me from her room upstairs - to post.

I would like to say thank you to all of themom's followers and friends here on her blog. We had a rough week with my medical scare and you all have been there for her sending your thoughts and prayers. Where we live people really aren't that kind. Most people here are very cold hearted. You ALL have kept her as well as myself in good spirits through this and many other troubling times and for that I am deeply grateful. For all of you who are faithful here, all medical results came back today with no signs of cancer cells or traits of any kind. I am in the clear. Thanks to everyone again.

Thedaughter

Thedaughter left this as a "comment" on a previous post, but I wanted it here, so all could see her appreciation (mine too)!

*********************
Today, is going to be a "catch up on ALL the laundry" day, in order to have everything ready to leave for vacation on Monday. I have to drag myself downstairs and change the kitty litter too - now that is something I REALLY look forward too. Damn, I wish that fat cat would learn to use the toilet. I should have trained her when she was young - but being a mean 12 year old psychotic feline - I foresee no change to her habits at this stage.

My neighbor is going to water my flowers while we are gone, the other neighbors have agreed to "watch" the house. It also helps to have the police chief living two doors away, for nothing other than watching my house. (He's nuts!)

Thegrandson is so excited, he has wanted to pack his little suitcase everyday. Tonight, we will let him get most of his stuff ready. We have a laundry basket packed with beach/kitchen stuff and essentially the remaining packable are mostly clothes. I hope I don't forget the camera.

I had to order a lumbar support (cushion) for the car, as my back does not do well with these seats. After an eight hour drive - I would prefer limited pain. I just want to relax in the sun for four days and hopefully watch thegrandson totally enjoy his first visit to the beach. We will be returning home on Saturday (the 13th). Brief, but hopefully restful.

There is a community (Bellaire) festival going on downtown. In years past, this was a fun time for several days. Local singers, bingo in the evenings, rides for the children and all kinds of food stands. Thegrandson has been begging to go, but I can't get him to understand - the powers that be (idiots who planned the event), have made this a boring, not worth the trip festival. There are NO rides for children, actually nothing for them at all. One food stand selling some kind of port - I see a case or two of trichinosis coming on - no bingo for those who love the game. It is more or less for people to look at the new sidewalks, the open space from where 22 sycamores were removed, and glad hand with the local mayor and his fukktard girlfriend - our village administrator. (Who, I might add has been stealing her $48K annual pay - by doing absolutely NOTHING!) The good news is I believe she will be out of a job the end of the year - fingers crossed.

I have so much to do today - and then a Walmart run to get watch batteries. I gave thegrandson a Mickey Mouse watch of mine, and he has been begging to wear it - but that is not happening till I change the battery. (Having worked in jewelry for so many ears - I can change any battery in my sleep.) He learned to tell analog time (or is still finessing the art), so his own watch will aid as a teaching tool.

Have to run and start the chores. Have a great day, and echoing my daughter's thanks - THANKS FOR ALL THE WELL WISHES!!

THESON FOUND THIS INTERESTING...ME TOO!

Theson sent me this - as I am not a regular viewer of Colbert or Jon Stewart. I sometimes drag myself over to their site and grab a laugh, but admittedly, I usually watch the show when theson may be home, from all his world travels.

"she's "proud" to be a republican, if by republican, you mean democrat. she's an absolute retard, she's a cafeteria republican, picking and choosing to believe in what SHE believes. and she basically wants to be a dem." This coming from theson.

So I did get a kick out of this. I do like Meghan McCain, I don't see her as a threat to the GOP - and I truly think she is NOT a Palin fan, although she won't go that far - so far.

MARRIAGE FINALLY EXPLAINED PROPERLY...HAH!!

Thanks Grandpa Eddie, I just had to steal this from you who stole this from another!! Now, aren't we one gang of thieves. At least we are getting this "out there."

A NAME I WAS HOPING NOT TO HAVE TO SAY AGAIN....

but I can't resist saying something about Sarah Palin and her introductory speech for Michael Reagan today.

The gist of this "speech" can be accessed by the link above. WTF??? Palin references Economics 101 - this coming from a woman who attended four colleges to get a journalism degree. I doubt seriously if she can even spell economics. Saying that Obama's path so far is "backward and skewed" is reminiscent of her speeches of just a few months ago. That woman skewed just about everything that came out of "gotcha" mouth!

Now, all of a sudden she wants the public to believe she is an authority on the fiduciary situation of this country? Oh, I forgot she can probably see the Treasury building from her front porch too. There are just no coherent thoughts or words that come from her.

To state that Obama is "controlling" everything and will soon control the people is a little myopic on her part. Let's see:
1. What about the illegal wiretapping of Americans?
2. The excessive secrecy in the government?
3. The illegal indefinite detentions?
4. Cheney's expansion of the executive branch of government?
5. Who tells us who we can/cannot marry?
6. Who tells us what we can/cannot do with our bodies?

Sarah, this isn't rocket science...these would all be attributable to your idol Bush and the GOP. The typical GOP mentality - lots of complaints but nary a solution to offer.

The ironic part is this was all said as a prelude to another of her idols, Michael Reagan - who was an embarrassment to his own father. He never gained traction till after his father left office.

But since Reagan's supply side economics and trickle down theory is what started this entire debacle how appropriate that Palin gets to tout the leader of the downfall.

Palin's time would have been better spent on Communications & Speech 101, since she can do neither. She is managing to carry the torch forward for the GOP with the "fear" tactic.

I suggest she move on to Economics 402/Advanced economics to understand that getting out of a depression = government spending. Small business alone will not sustain the financial markets of the country.

An award should be given to Palin, for being the only female/governor/idiot, to gain all this media attention, when she opens her mouth and spews incoherent statements, more often than not.

Trust me, she just feels she has to have a soap box periodically, in order to be able to throw her hat in the ring in 2012. I hope so - I will need a good belly laugh by then!

WHY DO I DESPISE PAT BUCHANAN????

OH - NOW I REMEMBER...............

I have never been able to tolerate this "white" man (I use that phrase since he apparently needs reinforcement) - nor his sister Bay (whom I call Babe). What is their relevance to society and the political climate? None, that I have ever been able to discover.

Just some more typical twisting of words, omission of words to make their argument seem valid. Pat and pals, listen to me - Go fuck yourselves!!! Now I shall try and compose myself for something else to post.

JUST AN ABSOLUTE CHAOTIC DAY!!

Thedaughter has been dreading today, as she had a doctor's appointment at 10:30am for a biopsy. She had her annual gyne checkup last week, and for that appointment, she didn't even see the DOCTOR, but a Physician's Assistant. I have not had the greatest experiences with PA's and make an adamant statement on any visits I have, I pay to see a doctor, that's what I expect.

Anyway, my daughter was born with a mole on her breast, (on nipple) and it has never been a worry in her 29 years. Our family physician always checks for changes and such, which until recently there were none. But now, one breast has become larger than the other (the one with the mole), and she had a little drainage (which she omitted telling me). So the PA stated that she felt a biopsy needed to be taken, and thedaughter told her she would make arrangements for when we returned from vacation on the 15th. Hells bells, the PA called thedaughter the next day AT WORK - scaring her to death, stating she was VERY worried and wanted it tended to immediately.

Thedaughter called me from work crying, as this PA was alluding to the big "C". I have to note here, thedaughter told her to call the HOUSE if she needed to get a hold of her. So much for a PA with a brain.

This has been preying on her mind for one solid week. There is a long history of cancer in the family which does not help at all. We went this morning, and our doctor, who is also a friend, was slightly pissed that this PA made such a big deal and urgency over this. I won't go so far as to say I believe it should be ignored - so he did the biopsy, and put an ASAP order on it - so possibly we will have the results by Friday afternoon.

I am exhausted though, as we have been trying to gather everything together for vacation - and if thegrandson had his way - he would pack his entire toy room. So I'm taking a break this evening - and hopefully will have something for tomorrow.

Theson sent me a link I may use, so I need to rest my brain a wee tad. Hope veryone has a great evening. It is frigid here - 50* at the moment. I'm not complaining though. I had to buy a new thermostat yesterday, as the one I had, had a touch pad that decided not to respond to touch anymore, and I couldn't adjust the temp for the AC. Thanx to theRuss for coming to my rescue and wiring it for me. I was going to tackle the job, but I have a healthy respect for electricity.

With that, I leave you....goodnight!!!! I'm going to try and find the Pens on a local channel - jeesh what a job.

ROEDER IS A TERRORIST...NO DOUBT ABOUT THAT....

BOMBING AFTERMATH OF DR. TILLER'S ABORTION CLINIC.

OKLAHOMA FEDERAL BUILDING BOMBING AFTERMATH.

The only difference between these two is the size of the building and the amount of casualties. Nevertheless, both were committed by homegrown American terrorists. Scott Roeder, who is the "alleged" murderer of Dr. Tiller, is just that - a domestic terrorist.

I have seen all the commentators and their guests, both on the right and the left - and I am very much pissed off. All this anger is aimed at the conservative religious right wing! I have heard Bill O'Reilly over the past several years blather on and on about "Tiller the baby killer." I've seen his hatchet men, attack people with the cameras, trying to corner people into making some admission or omission to make his ratings soar. When all the dust settles on this case, and is in the courts, I feel "Bill O" will be targeting Kathleen Sebalius as well.

Here's my perspective. These news shows have had many "commenter's" and they are mostly males. The males seem to be screaming the loudest, condemning the "baby killers", the loss of all those future American babies and such. What is wrong with this picture? How loudly have these bastards complained about the senseless loss of American lives in a senseless war? Hardly any, unless they need to bolster their own political agenda.

Randall Terry, leader of Operation Rescue, has no sympathy for the loss of life here, only that "this man had no time to make everything right with God." How fucking insane. Dr. Tiller believed in what he was doing, he offered a service and thankfully for HIPPA laws, we do not actually know how many late-term abortions were performed. A presumption on my part, but I would imagine the number is low. But these radicals are placing all abortions on that level...WRONG.

For anyone to think that making the decision to have an abortion is an easy choice, think again. Women do not arbitrarily wake up one morning and say "Hey, today seems like a good day to get rid of this baby!" Men, as a rule cannot think as a woman. They cannot possibly understand what underlying reasons exist - to terminate a pregnancy. I do not believe that abortion is used as birth control either.

An unplanned pregnancy may be complicated by so many factors, all of which should be personal. It is not for me or anyone else to presume to judge a person for their decisions. When I hear anyone say that a baby is a gift from God, I want to choke. Excuse me, two people had sex, sperm and egg met and voila - a FUTURE baby. A future dependant which is either welcomed and planned, or possibly unplanned with exigent circumstances that make having a child a burden in one way or another - the point is - we don't know why one makes that decision, but IT IS THEIR DECISION.

ALL these men, presuming to force a pregnancy to term on any woman is abhorrent. That mentality by men, that they know all and can judge all has to be stopped.

Consider this men...deadbeat dads fail to pay child support between 35 and 50% of the time. Some men just go forth and multiply, like it is their right, and pay nothing to support these offspring. But the O'Reilley's of the world, the judge and juries of all - feel they can step forth and speak for all women. No way fucking Jose'. You nor any man speaks for me.

And since O'Reilly feels he is NOT backpedaling on the Tiller issue...so be it. But say what you will Bill - you are the one who has made Dr. Tiller a target over the years, with your incessant lies and "bloviating." You appealed to the "God smacked" Scott Roeder's of the country. You gave him every reason in the world to take a gun, and remove this Doctor from the lives of his loving family. You are the one granting the claim of "justifiable homicide" to these NUTS. Will you lose any sleep over the terrorist act you perpetrated? Hardly. You are as bad as Rev. Phelps with all the hate you thrive on. Your own God complex will be your undoing - someday.

Till that time comes - women need to stand up against these fukktards. Men should never be in charge of "specific" female gendered laws. We need more women to speak up - to tell these men, when they start gestating the future generations of the world - then they can lay claim to decisions governing our bodies.

Just an aside...O'Reilly made a closing comment last night that "the far left is EXPLOITING the death of Dr. Tiller." Exploiting - no, calling you out on your prodding of these terrorists...YES!!

Again, O'Reilly may not have encouraged Scott Roeder personally, to murder Dr. Tiller - but he did make Dr. Tiller a TARGET, over the years.

I could go off on a tangent here, but I think I have stated my feelings rather well. Have a great day and I may return.....later..........

I'M HERE...BUT.....

I'm totally overwhelmed with the idiocies of the past couple of days, and just do not know where I want to start.

There is a medical issue in the household that needs to be dealt with on Wednesday, but we will not know the results till after we return from vacation. So nerves and patience are all being tested.

Dr. Tiller's assassination: domestic terrorism at its best. The rhetoric being delivered by the Christian right is ridiculous and needs to addressed for what it is - terrorism! Oh, and this suspect is claiming "justifiable homicide." Give me a fucking break!

The Obama's "night out": Enough already - the rethuglians never complained while THEIR President spent one-third of his term ON VACATION, at the taxpayer's expense. the only cost here was for the "smaller" plane utilized as opposed to the fuel guzzling primary Air Force One.

The missing plane from Brazil to Paris: This is such a shame. This may take a considerable amount of time to locate this plane in hundreds of square miles of ocean.

Stanley Cup Finals: SUCKS BALLS. Well, on to Pittsburgh on Tuesday. (Sorry Dr. MVM - I know you are doing the happy dance so far).

GM Bankruptcy: This may be a good thing. An automobile giant now has to pare back and make sensible decisions for a change.

Lee Iacocca: Loses his pension and company car due to cut backs. Oh the inhumanity of it all!

That's about all I can synopsize for now. I'm totally exhausted. Getting home from baseball game at 8 pm and eating late does not help my demeanor either.

Have a great evening and I shall return.......later.............

...on this note (grab a cold one), I say "goodnight."

NOW WE WAIT......MY FINGERS ARE CROSSED....

UPDATE: CNN is reporting Susan Boyle finished in 2nd place, losing to the dance troupe Diversity. Other news agencies are saying that all the public votes will not be counted for several hours. Interesting!!!

In approximately ten hours, all the phone in votes will be tallied, and the winner of Britain's Got Talent will be announced. If I could vote...it would be for Susan Boyle. I cannot get enough of her voice. I have watched the two prior videos over and over and the goosebumps keep returning.

She sings her original song as her encore performance and it is even lovelier than before. See for yourself, and listen to the judges. I will be awaiting the announcement of the winner.

ALL MARITAL UNIONS MUST BE ABOLISHED!!!

I do believe this video is going viral!!! I stole it from Grandpa Eddie, and it is now posted at True Blue Texan, and Riot Kitty. Let's pass it around and on and on and on!!!

Considering the masses of conservative religious wingnuts who feel they alone have the power to "define" marriage - good point here.....abolish them all!

REPREHENSIBLE...AMERICA'S OWN HOMEGROWN...

TERRORIST, has the audacity to refer to Sonia Sotomayor and her "menstrual period!" I can honestly say Chauvinistic does not even begin to describe this miscreant. G. Gordon Liddy, felon and "mercenary" by his own terms, is a useless pile of human waste. I should hope no PMS woman takes a pot shot at him! (fingers crossed.)

It is time for Man Coulter, Gingrich, Hannity, Liddy, Robertson, Buchanan...and the rest of their co-horts, to join the 21% of rethugs and take a long walk off a short pier! I've heard more than enough garbage. Grasp away fukktards...you just look as ignorant as you are.

NEWT, RUSH, PAT AND OTHER HOMOPHOBES....

THIS ONE'S FOR YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If I hear one more person spout from that book of fiction, that gays are an abomination - I shall scream. then proceed to pluck their eyes out!

ENOUGH ALREADY...MAKE A "VALID" ARGUMENT...

instead of the insane "grasping at straws" attempts so far!

Pres. Obama's pick to fill Justice Souter's position on the Supreme Court is a human being. Where along the line, do we forget that? Humans are subject to error, be it in everyday life decisions, or a seated judge, who has the daunting task of KNOWING the law, and having to interpret case law and dole out punishment.

First, I get very pissed when I hear Newt Gingrich make any comment regarding a present political situation. He is a fucking adulterer, despises gays, and was run out of the House for his "errors." He took one sentence out of an eight page speech, and decided that it was his duty to proclaim this woman a RACIST!

"I would hope that a wise Latina woman with the richness of her experiences would more often than not reach a better conclusion than a white male who hasn't lived that life."

But what these name-callers omit is the following sentence from that speech:

"Let us not forget that wise men like Oliver Wendell Holmes and Justice [Benjamin] Cardozo voted on cases which upheld both sex and race discrimination in our society."

Considering her "background", coming from the projects to graduate summa cum laude from two of the most highly respected Ivy League schools, speaks volumes to the intensity of her drive. I feel when the Judicial committee meets to consider her nomination - she will be able to hold her own, possibly putting a rethug or two in their place at the same time.

And another thing...EMPATHY! when did that word become a "racist" adjective? According to the dictionary:

empathy: from the Greek word empatheia - meaning affection. definition: the intellectual identification with or vicarious experiencing of the feelings, thoughts or attitudes of another. Identification with and understanding of anothers situation, feelings and motives.

Personally, I prefer to be surrounded by empathetic individuals, than narrow minded bigots!

So much for that...I have things to accomplish (or try), and will return....later.........

SOME THINK ALL WOMEN START THIS WAY....

Totally cute and adorable. This kid may never shut up!!!

BEAR WITH ME.....I HAVE A HEADACE....

A MAMMOTH, EXCRUCIATING, WON'T GO AWAY, HEADACHE.

With so much going on and possible blog topics to cover, my brain cannot fathom any of that at the moment. Instead, I find out that Archie Andrews - of the Archie comic book fame...is getting married. I haven't read one of these comic books in over 40 years - only to find out he is still in high school (what a dedicated young man), and he is NOT marrying Betty Cooper, the one who is perfect for him. He is marrying the snobby Veronica Lodge.

Now, since they are still in high school - I'm wondering if he got Veronica knocked up? Will Riverdale High School ever be the same?

Things to ponder, while I go lay down and try to make this pain in my head go away.

Later.................

PROP 8 BATTLE FAR FROM OVER.....

Personally, I feel the California Supreme Court made a gargantuan error in upholding Prop 8 yesterday. Where and when does a state constitution override our Federal Constitution? The "equal" rights that these people deserve was thrown under the bus...literally.

Ted Olson, who was Bush's Solicitor General, is now leading a push to the federal level, to ensure that California honors the equality of marriage - no matter the gender.

I am shocked that Ted Olson has taken this stance, considering his prior conservative stances. Plus he is the attorney who argued Bush back into the WH over Al Gore. Also, I have sympathy for the man, as he lost his wife on one of the planes, on 9/11.

This is his statement to Bryon York of the Washington Examiner.
"I personally think it is time that we as a nation get past distinguishing people on the basis of sexual orientation and that a grave injustice is being done to people by making these distinctions," Olson told me Tuesday night. "I thought their cause was just."

I asked Olson about the objections of conservatives who will argue that he is asking a court to overturn the legitimately-expressed will of the people of California. "It is our position in this case that Proposition 8, as upheld by the California Supreme Court, denies federal constitutional rights under the equal protection and due process clauses of the constitution," Olson said. "The constitution protects individuals' basic rights that cannot be taken away by a vote. If the people of California had voted to ban interracial marriage, it would have been the responsibility of the courts to say that they cannot do that under the constitution. We believe that denying individuals in this category the right to lasting, loving relationships through marriage is a denial to them, on an impermissible basis, of the rights that the rest of us enjoy…I also personally believe that it is wrong for us to continue to deny rights to individuals on the basis of their sexual orientation."

This is a good sign, and if successful - I would imagine the remaining states will be giving a closer look to the issue - those that haven't already seen the light.

It is now time for all those right wingnuts to "pull their head out of their collective asses" and get with the program. Listen to the pleas - put down your book of fiction that you claim has all the answers, and realize that book is just something you all hide behind!

I have a little cleaning to get to, so I may return....later..........

ES and D DICK CHENEY!! A TRUE INTERROGATOR SPEAKS OUT...

Cheney can make all the neo-con arguments in the world, but here are the words from one - who actually conducted important interrogations.

I can't wait to see the bloated Cheney bloviate now!

Later..........................(**ES and D = Eat shit and die!)

GOV. JIM GIBBONS - JUST GET OVER YOURSELF!!!

As I say above, just "get over yourself!" This governor of Nevada has refused to meet with Pres. Obama as he visits Nevada for a Democratic fundraiser - saying he would prefer an apology from the President for causing the downturn in tourism to the gambling meccas of his state.

It would appear that Gibbons is of that rethug mentality - that the use of corporate jets and junkets by the major corporations was apparently, imperative to the viability of the Nevada economy. And to hell with the nation as a whole. Sorry folks, this guy is a fukktard of gargantuan proportions.

I am sure that Obama will not feel bad that he is being dissed by this asshole either. Gibbons apparently has not left the bubble he lives within, to realize this is a global cutback. The recession and hard times is felt by all - not just the gamblers.

The fundraiser is, I believe, for Harry Reid, but be that as it may, gibbons stated, “Both men should be ashamed, because people are suffering through the depths of the recession while they practice the height of hypocrisy." Does anyone else see the HYPOCRISY in his (Gibbon's) statement? All righty then, people are "suffering through the depths of the recession" - but we want the arrogant CEO's and tycoons to fly those corporate jets into Las Vegas and throw it in the face of the poor and suffering - that they have ripped them off and are going to spend their ill-gotten gains on personal fluff. GOOD GRIEF!!

I hope the answer coming from the California Supreme Court (expected today) is one for celebration. One can only hope that the Mormon backed Prop 8 is struck down. This could be interesting. Considering that same court made a judgement in the past - to do otherwise would be contradictory. They need to move into the 21st century and realize that eventually gay marriages will be accepted as the norm EVERYWHERE.

It is a rainy (off and on) day, and I plan on doing nothing. I cleaned and did laundry over the past couple of days, so there is nothing of great import staring me in the face. I do have to call the AC guy and have my AC unit checked. He has had to charge the unit for the past four years - that is not right. If there is a leak - find the damn thing. And I do have to replace the thermostat, as it is being cantankerous also. It is always something when a homeowner.

Pres. Obama just made his Supreme Court nominee announcement, and after reading her bio - I don't think there should be too many dissenters in seating her. But - one never knows!!!
Have a good one - I may return later...............
