CHILLLLLL!! IT'S JUST ANOTHER MEME....

I stole this from Calvin, and will post as my Sunday meme here. This should tide y'all over till my eyes open, and brain cells start sparking.

1. First thing you wash in the shower? That would presume I HAVE a shower...which I do. I like to get to the cat first...but she is rather fast and feisty when the water is running.
2. What color is your favorite hoodie? BLACK...like my entire wardrobe. I started the "goth" look years ago.
3. Would you kiss the last person you kissed again? Now, you really want me to rack my brain and remember who that may have been. I suppose YES - hopefully it was someone I like.
4. Do you plan outfits? Of course, you think I'm a slob. I may be plus-sized, but I can look good!
5. How are you feeling RIGHT now? In pain. I am always in pain with my very bad back.
6. Whats the closest thing to you that’s red? Scissors...and don't think I won't use them!!!!
7. Tell me about the last dream you remember having? I'm sure it was something frightening...but I don't remember dreams at all.
8. Did you meet anybody new today? Haven't been out of the house yet...give me some time please!
9. What are you craving right now? Toast w/ strawberry jam (which Monkey refuses to send me!)
10. Do you floss? Of course...it takes no time at all to get between these two teeth!
11. What comes to mind when I say cabbage? FARTS...lots of farts.
12. Are you emotional? I would say YES. Like watching movies and heart-wrenching events.
13. Have you ever counted to 1,000? I'm sure I have...I used to like writing roman numerals as far as I could - and that seemed endless.
14. Do you bite into your ice cream or just lick it? Licking is my specialty. (ha!) Biting into ice cream sends shivers down my spine!
15. Do you like your hair? NO!! Damn menopause and lack of hormones, my hair is thin and nowhere near like it was in my youth. Sucks bigtime!
16 . Do you like yourself? Of course - and I can't imagine anyone NOT liking me...heehee!
17. Would you go out to eat with George W. Bush?. Only if he were on the menu. (Calvin's answer can't be topped).
18. What are you listening to right now? CNN Saturday Morning.
19. Are your parents strict? My parents WERE strict. I have not carried on that tradition. I can be firm - but not a tyrant.
20. Would you go sky diving? Surely you jest....this tubby body falling out of the sky is SCARY!!
21. Do you like cottage cheese? Like is the operative word. I don't LOVE it, but I do like it with fruit or beets.

23. Do you rent movies often? Very seldom. I'd rather purchase them (Walmart) and watch at my leisure. If I have a time frame set - I will never get to it.
24. Is there anything sparkly in the room you’re in? Other than my "sparkling" personality - NO!!
25. How many countries have you visited? Thanks to theson - Cairo, Egypt...Frankfurt, Germany (layover), Mexico, and a couple Caribbean nations.
26. Have you made a prank phone call? "Back in the days" we had fun with prank calls. Long before Caller ID!!
27. Ever been on a train? I grew up traveling on trains. LOVED them!

29. Do you have a cellphone? Yes, but I am not like these kids, having it glued to my ear. I text now and then also. Woohoo!!
30. Do you use chap stick? At the beach and in winter. At one time, I used it non-stop.
32. Can you use chop sticks? NO!! Give me a fork anytime. I'd like to learn - but sometimes the fingers just don't want to work.
33. Who are you going to be with tonight? I may visit with friends in town. He is a quadriplegic and I enjoy his company.
34. Are you too forgiving? Perpetually, habitually - YES!!
35. Ever been in love? ONCE - and he broke my heart in so many ways.
36. What is your best friend(s) doing tomorrow? My very best friend passed away almost 2 years ago and I make no real plans anymore.
37. Ever have cream puffs? Yes, not my favorites though.
38. Last time you cried? Daily
39. What was the last question you were asked? "Nina, where's the tent?"
40. Favorite time of the year? Fall - love my sweats and the coolness, leaves changing and all.
41. Do you have any tattoos? I have three and I'm contemplating one more. All small and discreet!
42. Are you sarcastic? Habitually...I just can't help it.
43. Have you ever seen The Butterfly Effect? Yes, my son made me!! Excellent.
44. Ever walked into a wall? I was legally blind till I was 9. Walking into walls was always an event. Now, I do it to stay in shape!
45. Favorite color? Blue
46. Have you ever slapped someone? Oh yes. And I was damn good at it!
47. Is your hair curly? Technically, I have naturally curly hair. As I aged it became more relaxed.
48. What was the last CD you bought? Don't laugh, "Mama Mia" - I'm a big Abba fan.
49. Do looks matter? I would say yes. But I give credence to what one has to offer intellectually more.
50. Could you ever forgive a cheater? I did forgive my cheating husband and never stopped loving him - but that is water under the bridge. He's dead.
51. Is your phone bill sky high? I have a "bundled" service, so once broken down - not really too high.
52. Do you like your life right now? Not much I can change, so it is accepted. If I could travel more I would be ecstatic.
53. Do you sleep with the TV on? It can be turned off? (Calvin's answer again) If my TV is turned off - I am awake immediately and cannot get back to sleep.
54. Can you handle the truth? Probably, if proven beyond a reasonable doubt.
55. Do you have good vision? Hell no, bifocals are my friends.
56. Do you hate or dislike more than 3 people? I avoid the word "hate" - too strong of an emotion. Yes, I can find at least 3 people I dislike (tons more probably).
57. How often do you talk on the phone? We call ourselves "phone Nazi's". I hate having a phone to my ear longer than 30 seconds.
58. The last person you held hands with? I truly do not remember - brain cells are dying.
59. What are you wearing? I'm supposed to be wearing something while sitting here at my computer??? Sorry, forgot!
60.What is your favorite animal? Cats. Unfortunately I am saddled with the "cat from Hell." I have had much nicer cats in the past.
61. Where was your default picture taken at? The one that has been "Obamacized" was taken here at my kitchen table - no NOT ON THE TABLE!!
62. Can you hula hoop? I was a champion hula hooper in my day. I could get these hips working again, I'm sure.
63. Do you have a job? Not anymore. I have my own tax prep business, which is only seasonal. If I were physically able to stand for long periods, I would be back in the workforce.
64. What was the most recent thing you bought? A whole rib-eye, cut up into individual steaks. the price was just too good to pass up. If I had another $90, I'd buy another.
65. Have you ever crawled through a window? Of course, did I enjoy it? Hell no.
66. When was the last time you’ve been to church? Years. All the years of listening to various slants on religions, made me realize (also through science) religion is a sham. We can live good lives without a religious base. Right and wrong never change.
67. What’s your least favorite meal? I am so not a fan of LIVER!!
68. Did you ever steal anything by mistake? By mistake...never by 'mistake'. I stole a fifty cent bracelet from the old Kresge's when I was young.
69. Have you ever won anything? Many, many times. Next, I'm expecting to be the BIG winner of a mega lottery.

Sunday Stealing: The "I've Come to Realize" Meme

1. I’ve come to realize that my chest-size. . . is larger than life - to match my exuberant personality.

2. I’ve come to realize that my job. . . is strictly within the household area and is a never ending thankless one. Oh, and the pay sucks balls!

3. I’ve come to realize that when I’m driving. . . my mind wanders sometimes a little too much. I have a propensity for "drafting" down the highway, which pisses some family members a wee tad.

4. I’ve come to realize that I need. . . to exercise more and practice some healthier styles. I must remember to think about this again at a future date.

5. I’ve come that realize that I have lost. . . my short term memory. After triple bypass surgery, I was assured "this will return." What a bunch of AMA liars. It is convenient at times though.

6. I’ve come to realize that I hate it when. . . I obsess over certain issues and can't find anyone to share or banter with. That's why I have this blog - because EVERYONE agrees with me (almost).

7. I’ve come to realize that if I’m drunk. . . I am the happiest, funniest person on the planet. That would be because I am adorable and charming and very modest.

8. I’ve come to realize that money... is a necessary evil. Security would be great, and I am far from that point. Money though, will never buy happiness or love - so keep that in mind. Although at my age, I may have to reconsider this also.

9. I’ve come to realize that certain people. . . are just dumber than a box of rocks. No matter what facts and data are thrown their way - WRONG. This would be one of the driving forces in my life as if it is a "higher calling." (sound familiar?)

10. I’ve come to realize that I’ll always. . . be me. I have long passed the point of trying to be what someone else thinks I should be. I am able to keep myself happy and try to bolster happiness and peace with others.

13. I’ve come to realize that my cell phone. . . is not absolutely necessary in my life. I do enjoy the immediate accessibility to friends and loved ones...but I do not talk while driving nor do I text while behind the wheel.

14. I’ve come to realize that when I woke up this morning. . . I was still alive...what a marvel.

15. I’ve come to realize that last night before I went to sleep. . . my arthritis is having fits and just waiting to flare up with a bout of PAIN. I was right, my right hand and fingers could be cut off right now and I would be happy.

16. I’ve come to realize that right now I am thinking. . . I need some ALONE time.

17. I’ve come to realize that my dad. . . was the greatest. Unfortunately he picked the wrong woman to be his wife, but I had an undying love and relationship with my father. He would be 103 yrs old if he were here.

18. I’ve come to realize that when I get on Facebook. . . I have a blast. I deleted my Myspace as it was not much fun for me. I have been able to reconnect with friends so well and re-establish kinships.

19. I’ve come to realize that today. . . would have been better without all the Michale Jackson fanfare and memorial service. I'm burned out.

20. I’ve come to realize that tonight. . . was OK. I had the chance to get in town and porch sit with my friends. He has been a quadriplegic for 18 years (he's 36), and watching the cars and friends go by is great fun for him.

21. I’ve come to realize that tomorrow. . . will start out busy. thegrandson has his swim lesson at 10:30am, and my weekly Dollar General run (paper products), plan dinner and hopefully start the staining of the decks.

22. I’ve come to realize that I really want to. . . get to the Caribbean. This may not happen till next summer, but I need the fix.

23. I’ve come to realize that the person mostly likely to repost this is. . . probably NO ONE. I just do it for a filler actually. I would love to see it reposted though.

24. I’ve come to realize that life. . . is very precious. It can be snuffed out in a nano-second. Love and hold those dear to you. I have no regrets, and my family knows how much love I have for them...there will never be any unsaid words.

25. I’ve come to realize that this weekend. . . will be just another weekend.

26. I’ve realized the best music to listen to when I am upset. . . something upbeat. Hip-hop, techno or Caribbean tunes work well.

27. I’ve come to realize that my friends. . . are very good ones. There is no one in particular that I am close to, like I was with my very best friend who has passed away. Friendships like that are rare and hard to come by.

28. I’ve come to realize that this year. . . we started anew. We have a new President and we will all have to buckle down, to help make his plans work. I have a positive attitude.

Since it is a holiday weekend, and one that should be spent outdoors - I am posting this ahead of time. I hope everyone is having an enjoyable celebration for this 4th of July weekend.



Sunday Stealing: The Finish The Sentence Meme

1. I've come to realize that my last kiss... was so long ago - it is hard to remember!

2. I am listening to... a TV show, yet not really paying attention.

3. I talk... way too much and usually manage to piss someone off.

4. I love... being alive. Being able to enjoy my family and friends.

5. My best friend/s... passed away and it is a void which is so hard to fill.

6. My first real kiss... was when I was 17 years old. Thoughts of being "in love" were short lived.

7. Love is... enduring for some and fleeting for others. An easy emotion to hold dear.

8. Marriage is... not always what it is cracked up to be. Should be a partnership of hopes and ideas - and endurance to get through the rough times.

9. Somewhere, someone is thinking... why doesn't that idiot quit blogging!! (Couldn't be me though LOL)

10. I'll always... have an enduring love for my children and grandchildren.

11. The last time I really cried was because... I couldn't help a breakup from happening.

12. My cell phone... aggravates the shit out of me. But I am getting more familiar with its capabilities.

13. When I wake up in the morning... I question why I cannot "sleep in." Never could and probably never will.

14. Before I go to bed... I have a routine, let the dog out, TV off in kitchen, go to bathroom, let dog in and crash in bedroom with TV on. (It stays on all night.)

15. Right now I am thinking about... an Oreo Blizzard. My designer figure doesn't NEED one but what the hell, I'm no model.

16. Babies are... precious. As long as they aren't crying or spitting up on me. Sleeping is a great attribute.

17. I get on Myspace... aha...I just deleted my Myspace on Monday evening. I never went there anymore and felt it was geared more for a younger crowd. I love my Facebook.

18. Today I... completed three loads of laundry, washed dishes twice, fed thegrandson three meals, dusted, and enjoyed the cool day.

19. Tomorrow I will be... at my 14 year old grandsons baseball game - hopefully. Beast of the East and there are teams here from all over the eastern part of the country. He is one terrific ball player.

20. I really want to be... rich, living in the Caribbean and have my family around me.

1. Most hated food: LIVER. I have tried it many different ways, thinking this time the taste and aftertaste will be better. This has not happened yet.
2. Most hated person: I do not HATE anyone. Too strong of an emotion, but I can put here as the most detested person - Dick Cheney!!
3. Most hated job: Waitressing. It might have been a more thankful job had the employer been a more stand up person. It was a one time experience.
4. Most hated city: Of all the cities I have visited or live, I can't think of a one without some redeeming quality.
5. Most hated band: I am far from an aficionado of bands.
6. Most hated web site: I rove all over the place, and haven't found one to totally despise yet.

9. Most hated artist: No comment on this one. Any artist has more talent than me so they get my consideration.

13. Most hated historical event: Bush's war on Iraq. Senseless and not warranted.
14. Most hated sport: NASCAR - I think these drivers lack the talent of making right hand turns.

16. Most hated annual event: Family reunions. I'm not a big fan whatsoever.
