NOW TO PASS OUT THE CHEESE FOR ALL THAT.....WHINE!!!

On Sunday, I was glued to my TV and the C-Span station for over FOURTEEN hours. To state that I need a life would be an understatement, but I found it all so very interesting and frustrating at the same time.

To listen to the alternating sides arise and give their speeches was something everyone should experience or comment on at least. Bias that I am, the Democrats reiterated, over and over, how those who have been denied medical coverage - would now be able to seek proper medical care without the fear of bankruptcy or denial. Some of the representatives mentioned individuals by name from their districts.

The Republican representatives (in alternating discourse) would rise and spout off the same lying talking points. At various times, they tried to manipulate the session, with all the procedural calls and points of order. I have stated before, that these reps - if they call you a fish long enough, you will begin to look for your gills.

Is this a perfect bill - hell no. But a starting point had to be established, a point from which to pefect the necessary attributes. As for BIPARTISANSHIP - we tried that.....so I say go forward while you have the votes and set us back on the right course.

The "right" is whining, for ALL to hear - that the Dems have not even sought bipartisan support and/or ignored all proffers. Again, the lies will continue ad nauseum. President Obama has MORE than tried to work with the "other side of the aisle" and since they are blinded by their racism and birther attitudes - he was unsuccessful. So, in my humble opinion - that road has been traveled - now on to bigger and better things for our citizens.

I also love how these law suits have been filed by 14 different states as to the "constitutionality" of this bill - little success in the courts has been predicted. Think back a few years - when the Bush/Cheney cabal decided we had no CIVIL rights or privacy expectations and literally changed the Constitution to suit their neo-con needs. Cheney went so far as to change the job description for the VICE PRESIDENT. Duh..............!!!!!

And....if anyone is wondering (hardly)...that "F" word that VP Biden whispered in the ear of the Prez was FUCK!! I mean honestly...watch the video - he whispered in the ear "farthest" from the microphone, and damn if that was one of the best mics in the world...and it picked that word right up! Sorry to burst all the virginal bubbles out there, but Biden was correct - he used the word quite aptly to describe the passage of this historic bill and the signing of said bill yesterday. And for those who were offended...get over your fuckin' selves.

Now, I read that the Ottawa (Canada) college which was sponsoring Ann Coulter as a speaker has cancelled the event for the she-man. It is so very funny to read Coulter's statements AGAINST these academicians and students - that she has lost the concept of the "tables being turned." She has no qualms denigrating the Muslims, Democrats, women and gays - but heaven forbid a group attacks her..............damn, wish I was there!

OK - it's a crazy day....tanned at 8 am, cardiac rehab at 9:30 am...cardiologist at 1 pm and an EKG at 2 pm. I may need some strong drugs after this day. I have to squeak in a couple of tax returns also - just so I feel like I've accomplished something. Also, I can't forget to get in a couple of Free-For-All games on Xbox (Modern Warfare2). I'm telling ya - mother's work is NEVER done.

I have been quite busy this tax season, plus making sure I get to my cardiac rehab exercise class three times a week - as well. thus, the blogging has been more than inconsistant, and for that I apologize. After April 15th I shall try to do much better.

This week may prove to be an historic one in nature - as the Health Care Reform Act may be passed (or not)! My fingers are crossed for a positive outcome. I have fallen asleep at night listening to the late night sessions being covered by C-Span, and as usual - the rethuglian trolls always manage to come away from the table sounding so moronic AND STUPID.

I love how the GnOP is yelling and shrieking and threatening a law suit against the "constitutionality" of the DEEM AND PASS possibilities. And for those who are hearing this over and over - it is NOT demon pass. Now, it was most certainly an OK thing to do during the dominant rethug years, but now that the tables are turned - it's whining time. The same goes for the reconciliation stance. That Mormon goof Orrin Hatch was on CNN this afternoon, almost gloating over the fact that should this bill go through - it WILL BE TESTED IN FRONT OF THE SUPREME COURT. Duh Orrin....when your party was chastised by the Dems and these same charges were taken to court - since you apparently have Alzheimer's - the courts said - FUGGEDABOUTIT!!

At this point in time - the vote is set for sometime Sunday afternoon - so we will have to wait and see. Granted, I am not 100% happy with this bill, but we have to start somewhere and once the initial steps are taken - then finessing this bill will come in time.

I'm truly sick and tired of the rethug talking heads (Limpdick, Beck and "makes me cringe" Malkin) deriding those who are speaking out for the Dems, about their own personal medical problems. As a rule, I never wish bad things on people, but a few disfiguring and amputatable (my new word) maladies could come to these aforementioned people and I would not shed a tear.

I don't have a prostate gland so, there should be no coverage for PSA blood tests either. This sorry excuse for a human probably doesn't feel that mental health should be covered - and I guarantee he definitely NEEDS that.

Where does it all stop? they don't want abortions covered and now no maternity care. Are we back to "the men" handling women's reproductive rights? Hell no! I will be burning the bra and letting the puppies fly in protest on this one.

Has anyone ever questioned why birth control is very seldom covered in these policies - yet VIAGRA is? Right, every man should have the right to have a hard on that lasts for a decade, but a woman cannot do anything to prevent an unwanted pregnancy.

Damn, I'm pissed now. I just posted this article on FB, about a 22 year old girl, who just graduated college, no health insurance - and died from the swine flu. this girl lives in Cong. John Boehner's Congressional district. I think it is time to overrun the "teabaggers" and take it to the streets.

HOLIDAY WEEKEND...BORED!!!

The Labor Day weekend is depressing to me, as it signals the end of summer. I am a fool for Fall though (my favorite season), but thegrandson acts like this is the end of playing in the yard, and enjoying outside activities. I've assured him that is not the case.

I still have a number of things rolling around in my head, but I prefer to digest and organize the thought before posting anything...or it will sound like (rightfully so) garbage.

the on thing I can say is: I'm sick and tired of all the bipartisan efforts that have been made - and I say enough already. Work with your own party and let the chips fall where they may. There are so many in the country at the moment - that will do or say anything to destroy this administration - just because he is an African-American. If you don't like that statement - too damn fucking bad! It's the truth. The rethuglicans have no proposals of their own - they choose to send out 19 page proposals and call it the greatest. No, their time is better spent propagating lies and distortions - what a sad state of affairs.

I have tried to carry on rather intelligent conversations with my right wing friends and others - and they can only recite verbatim, all the talking points of the right - and cannot back up one single position with fact. That's tragic.

Anyway....I found this on Liberality's blog and I will post also - as it speaks volumes to the mentality of this "news" agency's followers. (I use that term loosely btw).



Tomorrow I will be calling thegrandson's school to see if the students will be viewing Pres. Obama's address. If they are not...decisions will have to be made, whether I want to take this to the school board. If I thought this speech would be televised here at home, I would let him stay and watch from here.

Also, I look forward to Wednesday nights address to Congress. If I were advising Obama, I would tell him to pull out all the stops and start playing hardball.

Isn't it amazing how many forget how Bush trampled all over our "rights?" I have always been one of the first people to defend showbiz stars right to speak out on political issues, as they are, for the most part, informed Americans. They are "employees" the same as the rest of us and many major decisions affect them as well - maybe more due to receiving such grandiose wages.

I have heard Jon Voight ramble on in recent months, and to say I was not impressed is an understatement. There are times I want to thump someone in the head and give them the reality check they so justly deserve. But after watching this video, I have come to the conclusion - there is NO hope for people like this.



Again, throwing out the word "socialism" seems to make anyone a hero with the rethugs. They still don't and never will GET IT!!

There are so many statements he makes that are bold faced lies...but again, when it is stated on Faux Noise, it is taken as pure fact. He states the Stimulus bill failed - he just forgot that Bush passed the first bill, which has been spent. The second package has yet to be distributed in total. The banks have now returned $4 billion to the federal coffers from this stimulus - that does not sound like a FAIL to me.

Voight also makes the statement that Obama is telling us what cars we can drive. Again, he is not mandating that we drive anything, he is trying to make it more economical and ecologically better for all. Cars are still available - what is he seeing here?

Then Huckabee brings up the teleconference call with 1000 ecumenical leaders (I honestly was unaware of this), but I say "so what?" Bush invoked God at every turn, something I am not in favor of at all. Voight comes off to me as another right wing racist.

I was looking at the faces in this audience - mostly all young people. Sycophants that cannot think for themselves and have to be spoon fed any information that they feed off and perpetuate.

If I were a "movie star" I am sure I could afford the best health care, and even faded movie idols can stay in nursing homes paid for by their union. Are they so distanced from reality to not notice what is going on around them, the people who cannot even afford to go to the doctor or those who don't go because they don't want to face mounting bills? This attitude of not being able to choose their own doctor - BULLSHIT. The thought that the government will make all medical decisions for them - BULLSHIT. The act of rationing health care - BULLSHIT. And my favorite, death panels...BULLSHIT. Some of these people need to read their contracts with their health care providers, most if not all already have the exact same statement, regarding end of life consultations. Check out United Healthcare - it has been in their contracts for years. Major fukktards - these people can be.

I think I now understand why Jon Voight has an estranged relationship with his daughter Angelina Jolie. She even recognizes that he is an idiot. Just a note, Angelina Jolie stated quite a while ago, what wonderful medical care her mother received in France, while undergoing cancer treatments. Hmmm, makes me wonder!

So, any more famous movie stars out there, speak up - I have no problem at all...just make sense and be accurate in your statements.

I watched part of Barney Frank's Town Hall meeting last evening on CNNlive.com. The parts I was able to view were rather civil and I did miss this little confrontation, but had to post it now. People can say what they will about Barney Frank, I like him! He calls 'em as he sees 'em. He has his facts in order and can put someone in their place - using the SAME free speech mechanism - these goofballs are taking advantage.



The sad part is...this little snip of a girl, has no clue she has been dissed by Frank, and has a closed mind to all the details and facts of HR3200.

"HEALTHCARE" MY ASS...IT'S ALL ABOUT $$$....

We have been seeing the disruptions and now violence taking place at these Town Hall meetings by our representatives, to answer questions and gain insight on the Health Reform bill.

Yesterday, Rick Sanchez interviewed Rick Scott, the leader of Conservatives for Patient Rights. I have seen this man's commercials and he has been hitting the talk show circuit - but he remains - a liar and a cheat. A fact which cannot be denied since Sanchez caught and called him on the issue in this clip.

The recent polls being cited are a farce - and btw, I am not a big fan of polls as they are manipulated per event or situation. A poll consisting of 1-2,000 people does not constitute a broad test pattern. If I conducted an interview of 1,500 people who had health insurance - and asked if they were satisfied with their coverage - I'm positive I would get a high percentage of satisfaction. For the simple fact that they do not have any idea what faces those who have NO coverage. Any poll can be manipulated to serve whatever purpose or goal is desired by the pollsters.

I was saddened beyond belief when Hillary Clinton was "shot down" in '94, for all her work on health care reform. Too many years have passed, and these health insurance execs are getting richer by the minute.

For all the concern we had/have over Wall Street execs getting richer on the blood of the little man - look at these CEO's in the health industry. The rethugs want to declare that they do NOT want government making health care decisions for them...WTF do they think is happening now? You have non-medical personnel making life and death decisions for the sake of the dollar.

Oh hell, watch this meet-up between the two Rick's. I thought Sanchez did an excellent job - holding Scott's feet to the fire. I wish they had had more time to spar.

CRAZED RETHUGS & "LET'S PANIC THE ELDERLY"...

When and what will it take to convince our elderly that these (video) fukktards are playing the panic card??? I have come to the confusion conclusion that the Rethuglian make-up of Congress all went to school with Michelle Bachmann. Let's see...didn't she espouse that our President was going to establish FEMA camps, among all her massive idiotic statements?

Now we have this Rep. Virginia Foxx (wonder if Redd was a distant relative?) from North Carolina, and her idiocies. It does not take a helluva lot to get the elderly upset in this country. But these asshats are trying to convince this group, that "they are on their side" and looking out for their best interests. DUH?!?

I would like to know, on what piece of legislation are they referring - when scaring these people? The August recess is here - no work has been completed, if anything - very broad general outlines may have been drafted, but there is NO bill as of this date. There has been NO fine tuning of any proposals. The preemptive strike by the conservative cliques is based in FEAR!!

We need to take Soylent Green and Logan's Run off the video watch list for these idiots.




I have heard the rumblings from some older people, echoing this "scare" philosophy. As usual, I have to add some corrections. Most older Americans that I know, have their medical directives and living wills in place. I am always suggesting this to younger married folks with children. These two documents are really NOT just for the elderly - they are for every one.

So, just FYI - NO elderly people will be thrown in furnaces, or vaporized in order for Health Care Reform to go forward. Get a grip, grow a brain and learn to rationalize and think things through. Never take anything at face value - ask questions. Also, if the answer you get is not what you want to hear - ask others, those who actually may KNOW what they are talking about.

As soon as some of the oblivious realize that they are fodder for the scare brigade - and act and reason independently - no more FEAR tactics will be tolerated.

A REALLY FUNNY MOVIE....AND 3-D ALSO

Thegrandson had a wonderful day yesterday. He got to enjoy his swim lesson and then to the movies - G-Force 3D.

I cannot even begin to remember the last movie I saw in 3-D, and I do remember that the glasses were made of cardboard though. Apparently some of the brain cells are still alive. Maybe I am just old...but this 3-D was "awesome." There was a damn pesky fly (Moochie) in the movie - and I spent so much time swatting at the damn thing, I probably looked like I needed to be back in the home. Compared to the "olden" days - this was a whole step up in technology for me. (Can you tell I don't go to the movies very often?)

I do enjoy a movie, where I don't have to really think or analyze, and this was exactly what I needed. I was almost convinced that these guinea pigs and other critters could honestly talk. Also, recognizing the voices of these real actors - I begin to even put their faces and mannerisms to each animal. I was totally impressed and managed to get plenty of laughs as a bonus.

Darwin (voice of Sam Rockwell) is the leader of the unit of scientifically engineered F.B.I. Special Agents. There is Juarez (voice of Penelope Cruz), Blaster (voice Tracy Morgan), Speckles, a mole (voice of Nicholas Cage). Another recognizable voice was Steve Buscemi, as a hamster with issues! Not a big role - but very entertaining.

If you have the time and the $$$ (we won't discuss that expense here), take a break and get out and see this one - with the kids, grandkids or Grammy and grand pap. Everyone needs a laugh now and then!

Have you noticed that some representatives in Congress (and Senate) are confusing people, by juxtaposing "health care" with "health insurance?" The Michelle Bachmann's and Rep. Foxx have both stated that "there is no one in America without health care!" (This was also a phrase of George W.) Aha - this may be true to a point, as anyone can walk into an ER, get treated and then sit back and wait for excruciatingly painful HIGH medical bills to come in the mail. Enough debt to either force bankruptcy or just eternal debt. Someone has missed the point of "affordable" health care.

I have been reading people's comments here and there, and so many (rethugs) are saying that a health care reform package can't be accepted yet, because the bill is over 1,000 pages long. Considering, that no bill has yet been prepared - just outlines of which directions are acceptable - the BS is flying!

The "birthers" out there have gotten on my last nerve also. Liz Cheney refuses to echo the absurdity of this claim, thus perpetuating the lie. Lou Dobbs needs to follow the path of Glen Beck and head over to the hair-pulling staion (Faux)! G. Gordon Liddy was reduced to a pile of mush on Chris Matthew's show the other night. The only statement he reiterated over and over, was that there is a certified affidavit from Obama's "step grandmother", that she was present at his birth in Mombasa, Kenya. Since Liddy inferred that he was born in a hospital there, Matthews asked him why wasn't a birth certificate presented from whatever hospital it was - no reply.

I have to also add here...my certified birth certificate, from the state of West Virginia, lists my parents name and date of birth - nothing more, nothing less. I was not born in a hospital, there is no attending physician's name - none of the things that all these birthers want to have on a piece of paper. This would have to be one of the largest con games in the world - that all this collusion began in 1961 - and Obama's mother wanted to ensure that her son would be President of the United States of America. That would be one helluva lady!

A storm is rolling in, so have to make sure things are not going to fly away outside. I shall return.....later............

FAUX NEWS' BRIAN KILMEADE APOLOGIZES...

I have both clips here of the ignorant statement Brian Kilmeade made on Fox and Friends in the morning, regarding an Alzheimer's study. When he went so far as to mention that we Americans, marry other "species" and ethnicity's...well, it took awhile to get my jaw back in place. Watch.

As of today, Michael Vick has officially served his sentence on the dog fighting charges. He has turned in his electronic ankle bracelet and may do as he pleases. The Falcons of course, dropped him and he will have to meet with Mr.Goodell, to see if there will be more penance dealt by the NFL. In my humble opinion, he's done! He may have been worth millions in the past, but having been "out of the game" for this length of time, I do not believe he could come back at 100%. **I was never a fan of his anyway.


I'M IN LOVE!!! Our local Kroger store had a table set up with this new product two weeks ago, and I tried the Strawberry, and immediately asked which aisle? the reply was, well we don't have any Strawberry left, but more should be coming in about a week. Well hell girlfriend....don't tease me like that. So every trip to the store, I kept checking and as of last week - voila! I'm hooked.

55 calories per tube, and it is much like the Popsicles in a tube, but this is a frozen sorbet. I bought the Strawberry for myself and grape for thegrandson. I believe it is also in a raspberry flavor. They also make them in small cups, to be frozen. I figure this is better for me than the usual bowl of ice cream in the evenings. I highly recommend this new find.

I'm going back to listening to all the arguments on Health Care reform. CNN has a gentleman on now from Canada (member of Parliament and former Minister of Health), explaining how health care is structured in that country. Very interesting.

As I stated in prior post, McCain made some ignorant statements this morning being interviewed by CNN. Watch this video:



He mentions establishing a 9/11 commission - what is the correlation to the economic question he was asked? He argues that Obama's tax plan would raise taxes - now I have gone over and over the plans of both candidates - and there is no RAISE on Obama's side. The change begins in McCain's tax plan as stated here:

the only area that McCain gives more of a break is in the $112-$161K range, but see how the Republicans are still favoring the rich with the 63% greater tax cut in the high range. McCain is griping about Obama wanting to raise the capital gains tax from 15% to 20% - face it, the majority of the poor middle class doesn't even have to worry about that because we can't afford to invest any money. If anyone sees a big enough profit in selling stock now - they won't even have to worry about any cap gains.

But back to the video. McCain touts his Health Care Plan as being so much better, because he will be giving "up to" a $5000 tax credit (that is dollar for dollar) - but wait a minute - he is also going to make employer provided health care TAXABLE to you first. Depending on the premiums paid - this could be a wash or worse. Credits always sound good - but do the math first.

It is at the very end of the video where he is asked about Palins' "earmarks" and he tap dances all around and says the same old, same old - no answer.

Now the Republican camp is saying that the Alaska investigation into Palin's "Troopergate" is TAINTED by the Obama team. Let's see now - this investigation began in July and was on track, but NOW it is tainted. I guess I shouldn't be amazed at the spin doctors and Rovian tactics - and there are those who just fall blindly inline with this philosophy.

OK - everyone get back to work - I have more things to look up and scrutinize.
