HAIRCUT TIME!

Now, a smart person would have cut this boys hair yesterday or before - so his hair would not have had to have 3 pounds of hair product applied, for his Halloween costume!

Considering the Dennis the Menace cowlick he wakes up with every morning - this cut was long overdue. I'm old school and would chase thegrandson in the mornings all prepared to spit slick the cowlick...but he would have no parts of that. I tried to explain to him it is a "mother thing" - but nah - no spit!

Mommy and her clippers!!!

The fallen tresses.

His forced smile - but he LOVES the cut!

All ready to sweep off the floor!

I'm tickled Denver is no longer "undefeated" - makes playing the Steelers a little less exciting but still a very interesting game to watch on the 9th.

Back to watching "The Proposal" now...I highly recommend this movie, it is fucking hilarious!

Later all...............(I'm scheduling this to post by early morning.)

C'MON FOLKS, DIG A LITTLE DEEPER....

It appears that Sarah Palin just has to be in the spotlight at all times. As you can read here, she has amassed over a half million dollars in legal debt and feels she may need to set up a Legal Defense fund to deal with this debt.

This woman is a real pain in my ass, and undoubtedly to a great portion of Alaskans. She is up for re-election in 2010 - and from stories I have seen reported on various sites...she may have a STEEP uphill battle on her hands.

This bitch woman even had the audacity to put her two cents into the Obama "Special Olympics" flap. Excuse me, she may have a special needs child, but after watching her during the campaign, I would not give her a single star for parenting. Let alone, give credence to her comments regarding Obama's remark. She has gone so far as to turn down the stimulus monies, which would allow for an infusion into special needs educational programs - something that has been lacking for the past eight years.

When is...enough is enough??? To ask the people of Alaska to pay for her defense, on issues that definitely warrant investigation takes balls. I say Sarah - eat shit and die!! The people of America have had to dig deep enough already to bail out AIG and other banks - your mess is entirely your own doing - DEAL WITH IT!!!

*****************************
thegrandson had a shearing on Wednesday. He actually liked his "long" hair, but baseball season is approaching and he didn't want to be called a "girl" - hence - clip, clip, clip!!!

Since the little fart was "getting a cold", he was somewhat grumpy during this event. But as usual, I was able to make him smile.
Today, being Saturday - a non-eventful, probably going to be boring day...thegrandson is feeling better and quite creative.

It's TENT CITY time!! He has his portable DVD player in there, a snack, and only comes out once in awhile. Works for me! His mother gets pissed because of the mess, but I don't see a problem - I love letting him be creative. That's what kids do.

Enough for now folks...I've bored you more than enough, so.....later..........

THESON FINALLY POSTED....."THE CUTTING"....

Theson has finally posted a video on his site - a painful one for me - of his "first" haircut in 15-16 years. I took this picture in April of '08, when he was home for his best buddies wedding. When his hair was wet - you can actually appreciate the length - and the CURLS!! Women were always telling me they would "kill" for his curls alone. Being the "mom", I always enjoyed combing it and occasionally braiding those thick tresses. Ahhhh, NEVERMORE!

In this video, filmed by his friend and co-worker Ken - his hair is dry and looks so much shorter - and I have to admit, I cried watching it being sheared. Theson was going to ask his girlfriend to marry him - but that didn't work out and they have now gone their separate ways. But this video will be memorable for nothing else than - THE HAIRCUT.

This was filmed in his apartment in Maadi, Egypt, where I stayed with him last May on my once in a lifetime trip. He is the best son in the entire world...I miss him, but thank heavens for Skype.

Enjoy.

I should never leave home..kids run amok!

I had made arrangements to have dinner with my friend theMarge last night, and being another unbelievably hot and humid day, we spent most of the day INSIDE. thedaughter at work and theson and thegrandson and I had a really nice (filled with trivial tasks) day. The night before, thedaughter decided to cut thegrandsons hair and it ended in a Mohawk - sort of different but thegrandson liked it. The cut really needed to be trimmed a little - and apparently, while I was at dinner theson "went at it!" HE SHAVED THE LITTLE GUYS HEAD! I never get bent out of shape, but at first was a little distressed, but thegrandson really LOVES it. Now for the pics - the "mug shots" are before the shaving event and the last being the "bald experience."

What a cutie!!! He will be 7 soon and is developing an attitude at times but we are nipping that one in the bud rather quickly.

As for the dinner with my friend - we haven't seen each other in awhile, and had a wonderful time catching up over dinner at "the Highlands" which (as referred to in name) sits atop a hill with one helluva view of the valley. As I mentioned earlier, being so hot & humid the weather conditions were just right for a whopping storm (warnings & watches were out all day.) About half an hour into our meal, people around us were getting louder and running to their cars, and we could see the ominous black sky just moving in our direction. It was truly eerie, and all I could think of was getting water in my basement...till I realized - "nothing I can do about it from here", so we just chatted on...watched the lightening and the thunder was rumbling and tons of rain coming down - oh well...and this too shall end! I didn't even call home to find out about the basement. We later went to theMarge's home and checked out her computer...nice one...only she is still using DIAL-UP!!! We must work on getting broadband. I showed her some shortcuts and will later take some programs and add, then show her how to utilize them in her trade. It was a blast - I truly had a wonderful time. I got home about 10:45 pm, finding a note that thegrandson wanted me to let him know I was home - so he could "show off" his new do. AND ALL IS WELL WITH THE WORLD!

More later - so everyone stay healthy and TTFN.
