PROP 8 is NOT going away!!!!!!!!

I used to enjoy the old Chuck Norris movies and TV show, but then when he became such a strong Huckabee supporter, I changed my views a little. I found his ranting so sanctimonious and pious - I decided I much preferred him to stick to martial arts and films.

He has an article on townhall.com, "If Democracy Doesn't Work, Try Anarchy." I found most of his arguments quite lame, to say the least. For one thing, anarchy is defined as a state of lawlessness and disorder, usually resulting from a government failure. (Essentially how our great country was founded). At the end of this article he states:

"Their Prop 8 votes weren't intended to deprive any group of its rights, they were safeguarding their honest convictions regarding the boundaries of marriage."
To say that Prop 8 represents 5,000 years of human history - argh!!! Let's reflect a wee bit on what we know of some of this history...at one time, men bartered for wives, men were allowed to demean and kill their wives for misbehaving - essentially men held women to slavery! Women were subservient, and could not even vote till 1920 here in the United States.

Although this Proposition was passed by the voters - it blatantly violates the Constitutional rights of the gay minority. The California Supreme Court already decided in favor of gay marriage and Prop 8 was designed to overturn the court's decision, plain and simple.

After watching D. L. Hugely last weekend, and he was interviewing Dan Savage, even Hugely stated that the wording of this proposition on the ballot was misleading. Savage, soothed Hugely's fears of a religious backlash, as he appropriately informed him that the desires of the gay community was NOT to essentially have marriages performed in churches, civil ceremonies were fine - but that the gay's wanted the same rights of marriage as heterosexual couples enjoy. They want property rights and the transfer of same upon death or illness, shared medical benefits, etc.

I can't understand what these homophobic people are so afraid of - gay people do not threaten YOUR lifestyle, they do not try to indoctrinate your children "to be gay", and they are working, productive individuals, like themselves.

Even Webster's Dictionary defines marriage in two parts: one, as a union of a man and a woman, and second, as a same sex joining. C'mon idiots, move into the 21st century. The Constitution of the United States should not be arbitrarily altered for the egregious benefits of the churches with the most money. I certainly hope the IRS is taking note of all these donations and political backings - and the churches will lose their tax-exempt status.

I SUPPORT GAY MARRIAGE! (with all the benefits as hetero.)

I think Sarah has been chatting with Cheney....!?!?!

First Amendment reads as follows:

"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press, or the right of the people to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances."

Well, Sarah Palin is running off at the mouth again it seems. She is playing the poor, picked on right wing idiot, claiming she believes her first amendment rights are being attacked from reporters. This all began when she gave a radio interview to WMAL-AM this morning.

She told this interviewer that her criticisms of Bill Ayers and Rev. Jeremiah Wright should NOT be considered negative attacks (as she has been saying while on the road also). Palin feels that by the press reporting these as "negative attacks", now her first amendment rights are in jeopardy. WILL SOMEONE PLEASE TELL HER SHE CAN GOOGLE THE CONSTITUTION!!!

Palgal also insists that if the media convinces enough voters that this is negative campaigning - then, and I quote her "I don't know what the future of our country would be in terms of First Amendment rights and our ability to ask questions without fear of attacks by the mainstream media."

Tell me honestly, does this not sound like more ignorant BABBLE????? The woman opens her mouth and instantly the words turn to mush...no sense....no points made! The only point I think she wanted to make was how sad it is that the media is always unfair when they make a statement which goes against her.

I have one wish for her....if you don't like it - take your football and go home!!! Go home and educate yourselves on the Constitution and those wonderful Bill of Rights, you definitely do not understand. This is all too Cheneyesque for me. Now isn't that one scary thought?

I found a quote from a man who attended convicted Sen. Ted Stevens welcome home party in Alaska. Apparently Stevens fans just have no faith in any justice outside of their own state...hmmm.
"Anyone who thinks you can get a fair trial in the heart of liberalism, Washington, D.C., is smoking dope. He was railroaded!" Mark Kelliher, retired Engineer.

Now why would he start picking on the wonderful dope smokers? I think this man has issues! Stevens is the one who fucked up - and he GOT CAUGHT MORON!!!!

You have to listen - 15 minutes of your time....PLEASE.

After having a nice dinner with friends and to celebrate a birthday, I come back home and leisurely start through my regular sites on the internet. I run across this video from Hardball with Chris Matthews. I literally had to walk away from the computer and regain my composure because I was so upset. I have always had a weird sense of Congresswoman Michelle Bachmann - and I believe this one "takes the cake." This Congresswoman is running for re-election this season, and after this segment was aired, thousands of dollars poured into her Democrat opponents election fund.
It is almost 15 minutes long - but you have to listen to her McCarthyist views. Just so everyone knows, I am a Liberal - should I go to prison because I am now considered ANTI-AMERICAN? And the title "leftist" - is that because we are not "rightists?" Give me a fucking break.

I love my country - if anyone should have any doubts - maybe more than this conservative bunch - because I want to have the freedom to think differently, express myself when and how I desire, and totally embrace the freedoms warranted by our Constitution. Answer me this, wasn't it the conservative base who went along with all Bush's ideas and aspirations to TAKE AWAY OUR FREEDOMS - tap our phone lines, track our e-mails?

I HOPE MICHELLE BACHMANN GETS VOTED OUT OF HER CONGRESSIONAL SEAT ON NOVEMBER 4TH - and if anyone has any way of spreading that word to friends or family - go for it!

Mad, comes nowhere close to describing how I feel at this moment. So I will leave and scream at something now.

***UPDATE: Go to this site http://www.censurebachmann.com/ and remit immediately. There are almost 20,000 signatures at this time and more to come. This woman is the worst representative our country has to offer. Word is now getting around of her interview yesterday and temepers are flaring. I love it!
