IT WAS A EULOGY FOR THE GENERATIONS....

I've listened to this several times today...and closing my eyes, I feel the words leave a message for all. This is a message to quiet the racism and hatred that is being fueled at this very moment in time.

I feel that we have lost a wonderful statesman, a human being who definitely had flaws and made major mistakes in his life...but he tried harder than anyone to correct and amend those errors. He fought for the underdog and downtrodden and most of the time - won.



Admittedly, I shed many tears listening to this speech. But I "got the message!"

JUST REMINISCING.....AND REMEMBERING...

Just listening today, made me feel a little better. Watching the funeral procession for Ted Kennedy on the way to the JFK Library, and all those who came out to honor this man, is a great shot.

Usually I fall asleep to CNN and wake up to CNN. Last night was different, for whatever reason my somnambulistic channel surfing took me to channels I didn't recognize. As I rolled over to set the channel back to "home" turf, the first words I heard were that Ted Kennedy had passed away.

Realistically, we knew this day was coming, but it is always "too soon." In my entire lifetime, there has been a Kennedy in politics. Brother John was serving as a Senator when I was born, later to become POTUS.

Personally, I liked Ted and how he challenged for the underdog and HEALTH CARE!! After the assassination of Robert Kennedy, he stepped in as the patriarch of the entire Kennedy clan.

Without making this a long drawn out debate, the only downside to his history, which I had a very hard time with, was Chappaquiddick. In all honesty, he couldn't bring back the life of Mary Jo Kopechne, but I believe he tried all these years, to make up for wrongs through many good deeds and Senatorial leadership.

Rest in Peace Ted Kennedy...we will push onward for a viable health care reform, your last big dream.
