In the hospital

This is the daughter posting for themom.  I hate to bring bad news to her blog but yesterday we took themom to the hospital for chest pains.  At that time we were informed that we got there before she had a heart attack but they wanted to keep her overnight.  At 6am I received a phone call from a nurse saying she was in major pain all night and they wanted me aware of it.  Apparently when they call me she had already had a full blown heart attack.  They did a cath today and found 1 of the valves  they replaced 6 years ago failed.  At the same time when they put the guide wire in to implant a stent they realized the valve was full of blood clots and they were forming around the guide wire.  They sucessfully removed the guide wire but now fear a clot may have escaped so they are now watching her for stroke.  I will keep everyone updated on her situation and she will be back and blogging soon.

Tell her I'm sending my best wishes for a quick and easy recovery.

@"Dr. Monkey Von" Asswipe: WTF, you jerk! Do you really think NOW is the time for that? Really? Because the last time I checked, it wasn't proper to address a sick person the way you just did. Unless you are her actual doctor, in which case cursing at someone, in writing, on her blog, is HIGHLY unprofessional and may be actionable. Didn't your mother have enough sense to teach you that if you don't have something nice to say that you don't say anything at all? Or don't you have the intellectual capacity to understand? Either way, knock it off, Buttface!

OMG! She's in my thoughts and prayers as are the whole family!

We went through a massive heart attack and all kinds of stuff that followed it with mymom a few years ago. I know it's not an easy road to be on.

Cali...thanks for your thoughts but also Dr. Van Mnkerstein is slightly right. After 9 heart attacks the doctors don't want her smoking. We have been trying to get her to quit for years. I will keep you all informed as I get information. Right now we are dealing with why she is clotting so quickly in her arteries. Again thanks you and everyone else for all your thoughts and prayers and hopefully she will be her old self again real soon.

Tell your mom, Peggy, Utah Savage, is thinking of her and sending her healing energy. I've been so wrapped up in my bests friend health crisis, I've neglected everyone else.

@thedaughter- I'm sure the doctors do want her to quit smoking. Hell, a person can go in for an infected hangnail and they will tell a smoker to quit. It's just the way it is anymore. This is not meant to demean the seriousness of her condition or the detrimental effects of smoking. My point was in how that monkeyjerk went about it. You don't kick a person when she is down, ya know?

Holy smokes!!! I hate hospitals but in this case that's where she needs to be. Hoping for a full recovery and all the best.

Cali, I do understand. She did tell me today though that she is done. The nicotine should be out of her system already so she wants me to strip the house of ashtrays and cigarette smell. So that is my mission. I also am a smoker and I told her I wouldn't smoke around her and I would get the house smoke free. It's something that needs done. Thank you.

Christ, I have been out of the blog loop lately. My thoughts and prayers go out to Mom and her loved ones.

I hope she can quit the cigs. I know I should too, but being an asshole I simply fail every time.
